Exade 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/mugthol/Crazman/advanced Logs(from H BRF clear): https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/jaR2CVhvc9qgXwpb#fight=3 Wondering what this person might be doing wrong as their dps seems low and rankings are also low. They played a mixture of fire/arcane for the posted logs and claim they are following the rotations on the icyveins guides. Any help is appreciated. Starting this thread for a guild member, they will answer any questions you guys may have.
tapif 10 Report post Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) If you are speaking about Crazman, the blatant thing is that he must munch a lot of arcane missiles buffs. If you look at his buff panel on gruul, he stays at three arcane missile buff during half of the fight, which should not happen. Sozin 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2015 Hello, So my question is for whoever wrote the Icy Veins guide for Fire Mages, specifically the updated Stats/Priority part. So if i am understanding this right, since the latest patch and assuming i don't have the Tier 4 piece bonus, Mastery is now above Crit for fire mages at all times? There isn't a general Crit% that i should try to be hovering around while trying to build up Mastery too? So I see how, through Mastery, bigger ignites = more damage, but Fire Mages have always been super reliant on Crit%. Has it gotten to the point that Crit is now definitely behind Mastery in all cases? My thinking is that if i don't Crit as often, then that is way less Pyroblasts that i am casting, which, in turn, not only results in less damage from the bigger spell pyroblast, but less chance of getting the pyroblast crits needed to set up a proper Combustion. I feel that even using the "Heating up Trick" i will be much less likely to get the bigger numbers i need to get a big Combustion. Thoughts?

Sozin 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) Forgive my first forum post ever. I didn't realize there were rules or that i could just make my own thread. I figured with a title as general as "Mage Help" that it wasn't a private conversation and anybody could ask for help. I also figured that with crazman's response that his issue was not only addressed but resolved. Thanks for the warm welcome.
