I'm new to WoW. Class help!

I'm new to Wow and, to be a "good" noob I want to know more about the game basics.

 

If anyone can help, please, give me a short version about the classes like: Wich class is good for and how do they perform in-game.

 

Please, use words that a complete noob will understand. I have no experience in Wow.

I cannot give you any advise as to what to choose, in general all classes en specs are quite balanced.

The first thing you will need to decide on is if you want to be a Tank, Healer or DPS.

Since you are new to the game it might be best to start off as a DPS and first learn more about the roles of healers and tanks in the game.

 

That said, he'res an overview of some classes and their specialisations.

• Death Knight

1. Blood, Tanking, Melee, specialises in using defensive cooldowns to survive deadly mechanics

2. Frost, DPS, Melee, specialises in both single target aswell as aoe damage

3. Unholy, DPS, Melee, specialises in both single target aswell as aoe damage

• Druid

1. Balance, DPS, Ranged,

2. Feral, DPS, Melee,

3. Guardian, Tank, Melee.

4. Restoration, Healer, Ranged,

• Hunter

1. Beast Mastery, DPS, Ranged,

2. Marksmanship, DPS, Ranged,

• Mage
