Hi, all the links in this guide for Unstable Scepter show as Convention of Elements. Please update.

That's unfortunately not something that can be fixed on the Icy-Veins side of things, as it is a bug in the display for the items not updating when mouse-over-ing an item. If you click on the item and follow the hyperlink it will take you to the correct item.

How can I do more damages...Can only solo up to GR 63?

I manage solo 65 with this. Maybe 66 67.

When you mouse over Shrouded Mask it shows the Triumvirate instead.

Does anyone have any insight on pushing past the 60-65 greater rift limit this build has in terms of damage? I've seen two others ask the same question, so I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. Elites take way too long to kill on 60+ greater rifts.

This is my build: http://www.d3planner.com/187473949

It's your gear that is holding you back.  Getting ancient version of your set and, more importantly, your weapon will help push you into the 70's.  Getting more area damage and getting a better compass rose should also be goals.

Yea, I thought my compass rose was crap compared to what I could have. Good point on the weapon; I'm sure that will be a big boost, for sure! Thanks for the input :)

Getting Ancient on all 6 pieces set are tough.  So far, only been able to get 3.  Got to 66 but that's it.

I don't have too many ancient pieces (3 to be exact), and I'm soloing 70. I replaced unstable for glass cannon, since my main problem was DPS, not survivability. As I go up, I'll need to swap back, but with halo and slow time, along with ice armor, I can take a little toughness out.

If I am not mistaken, which I doubt, this is actually the build of the top tier wizards doing gr(solo) in their high 80's currently. It's obviously a game about gear so you can assume them to be quite decked out in the finest of ancients with the most optimal rolls and highest paragon levels.

Great build, I love it and has quickly become one of my favorites. A few alterations I made to it was abandoning orb of the depths for fragment of destiny in the cube and abandoning the pantheon defenders for ashnagarrs blood bracers. I swapped out chain explosion for magic weapon with deflection and swapped illusionist for dominance passive. The sheer upkeep on barrier shields most of the time makes sure things never get through the barrier just spamming spectral blades and arcane orb. Can do rank 65+ GR's with one ancient legendary in slot, I left everything else as deadsets build design. May be an alternate idea for some to try. Also tried swapping convention for rrog and wearing crown of the primus, does seem to be an overall slight improvement, but I never cared for using rrog too much. Spectral blades gets rather beastly, mine do roughly around 400 million a shot at roughly 4 APS with this setup so it contributes a good deal to arcane orbs damage. Makes cutting through the higher rifts easier, and the barriers pretty much let you not worry about much of anything.

I finally found a good compass rose.  Sadly, not a perfect one as I'm being forced to choose between area damage and crit chance.  it rolled with 20% area damage and I'm wondering if I should reroll for 6% CC

Without equipping the ring, I'm at 53 CHC and 126% area damage so basically, choices are 59 and 126 or 53 and 146.

Can you list all of its stats? There might be another suitable stat to drop for Crit Chance. Area Damage is pretty important in the build, so I'd rather you don't drop a high natural roll of it like that.

Sorry. I wasn't clear in my original post.  The ring rolled with socket, int, movement speed, and crit damage.  So i rerolled movement speed and got 20% area damage.

For me It is a challenge to obtain pieces from endless walk that have 2 out of 3 desirable characteristics rolled. Is there a solid alternative to use for this build?

Endless Walk can be a pain, true. Probably the closest thing would be an arcane damage Stone of Jordan and either a Hellfire with a strong defensive passive (i.e. Blur), or a Moonlight Ward, as it naturally rolls high arcane damage.

Other players say Parthan Defenders no longer proc on freeze since a recent update. But this build is 2.4.1-ready. So who is right? Any video that proves it?

APDs still proc, else many other builds that depend on its freeze proc would be broken as well - Furious Charge Barbs, Archon Wizards, etc. :)

Ashnagarr's is sadly inferior to APDs when the latter are played around correctly, as Ashnagarr's offers a limited amount of shield vs. APD's straight damage mitigation that scales with density.

From what I remember seeing, when Parthans proc they create an icon of the bracers with a countdown (or some such). Anyone can test when they see the icon? On stuns, and stun-free freezes as well?

Sadly APDs do not offer any indication of their uptime. I hope it gets added in a future patch, considering the number of builds that practically rely on this item for their survival.

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

Blizzard has posted an official preview of Diablo 3's upcoming Season 34 that starts on January 24!
The ongoing Season 33 ends on January 19. Season 34 reintroduces the Light's Calling Season theme, which means players can obtain Angelic Crucibles, consumables that may be used to Sanctify any Legendary item, infusing it randomly with one of three new class-specific powers. Cosmetic rewards for the patch are as follows:
Completing the Season 34 Guarian journey grants the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.
Haedrig's Gift will award you with the following sets in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival For more information about Season 34, check out the official blog post below.

Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 34: Light’s Calling. Starting on January 24 at 5 p.m. PST/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Light’s Calling theme, which first debuted with Season 27. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 33 will officially come to an end on January 19.
      Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Season Theme
Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendor, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
In Season 34, awards originally available from Season 10 are returning. In addition to the Head and Shoulder slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Black Soulstone themed portraits and the scholarly Loremaster pennant first introduced in Season 10.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic ones for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth alongside the Shades of the Nephalem and complete the Season 34 Guardian Journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five:
Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete two Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at level 70 in under 15 seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top
      Seasonal Conquest
Seasonal Conquests are additional goals you can complete as part of our Season Journey. To earn all the cosmetic rewards, you'll need to complete at least three of the Conquests below. The challenges available in Season 34 include:
Sprinter and Speed Racer task you with completing Acts I through V at max level in under one hour. Want to go fast while killing things? Boss Mode and Worlds Apart are right up your alley. On A Good Day and I Can’t Stop are making a return, if leveling your Legendary Gems is more your thing. Finally, if you’re keen to prove your mastery of various Class Sets, Years of War and Dynasty will be returning along with Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets. Best of luck! Return to Top
      Haedrig’s Gift

Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works.
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival Return to Top

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
      Season End (Source)
Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.
