Hey deadset, just have a question about wyrdward interactions with the Crusader class. If I equip wyrdward to my follower and my crusader is using the ability Provoke-Charged Up, will the wyrdward effect activate from Provoke AND if so, will that stun effect proc Ancient Parthan Defenders (APD)? Thanks.

No, you can't activate your followers rings with your abilities.

What about augmenting follower ancients? Is it worth the grind?

I am thinking about augmenting with level 70 dex my scoundrel gear, but not if the dps damage is marginal..

Followers don't do any damage.

Well, they DO damage, like 1 Mio or something like that. With you doing billions of damage you can safely state that the damage of your followers is next to 0.

Enhancing their items increases the damage they do a little bit. It still stays 0.

I was wondering what breakpoints we're looking for for followers on Attack Speed and CDR.  I know that they're the priorities, but I don't want to spend mats to get the extra 1% if it's not going to do anything.  Is there a calculator for followers somewhere?  Not a lot shows up on a google search for d3 followers besides the Icy Veins follower guide.

What about Azurewrath as an alternative weapon for the templar, with up to 25% chance to freeze mobs (including rift guardians)? Its cold damage can even be re-rolled to lightning damage if we want to use it in combination with the Wyrdward ring...

This is not a mechanical reason to dislike Azurewrath, but it makes enemies glow yellow for a moment when they appear on-screen (maybe 40y radius around the templar?), and the color is easily mistaken for an elite pack. When I figured out what was doing that, I changed out that weapon immediately.

I can confirm that the legendary bow Buriza-Do Kyanon specifies (Demon Hunter Only) on the legendary power.  Haven't seen a Hellrack in a while.

Both Tunderfury and Eun-jang-do are listed as the Best in Slot weapons. Clearly, by definition of best, one of them is lying.

Sorry for this. We will try to fix it and make it clear which one is the recommended one.

Oculus Ring proc does not seem to work anymore, at least with Necromancer. I stood in the ring, but my damage number did not increase at all.

Works well for my Necromancer. Above GR75+ it realy helps.

The Oculus does not affect your sheet damage so you're not going to see any numbers changing on your stats but the damage is definitly working for Necro.

Hey just a question, for follower's weapons, why do you prefer Primary Stat than High Damage Range? I assume besides Cooldown Reduction and Increased Attack Speed you don't have any other concerns, and you think some additional damage will do; if damage is all you want, then High Damage Range is surely better than Primary Stat. Would you please briefly explain your choice of Primary Stats?

If you are playing as a monk and use the templar, what gem do you socket the templar with? What stat would you want them to have on weapons and armour?

Is it stupid using the templar when playing monk?

Depends on the build - what are you hoping to play as?

Templar is normally chosen for resource regen, but this is pointless for something like Generator Monk outside of stacking with Johan.

Hey all -- is this guy going to be updated for Season 12? Does it even need to be? Just don't wanna use this guide as my main follower reference only to find out later that it's essentially obsolete.

Thanks!

Hey,

the guide should be up to date for Season 12 (Patch 2.6.1). If there are specific items or talent choices you are unsure about and feel that they are outdated or out of meta, please do let us know, as it is always possible that we missed something.

Good luck!

im curious why thunderfury/wyrdward combo isnt listed on enchantress? obviously she does less damage (not using a offhand) but the crowd control is certainly better than a sultan of blinding sand?

Thunderfury procs don't cause Wyrdward to proc. You need lightning damage on the weapon to proc it. You can just use Sultan rolled to Lightning damage and then have the additional blind chance too.

Hey another question. For Templar's shield, why do you prefer Primary Stat, or Socket (gemmed with Primary Stat), or even Vitality? One thing for sure is my templar will never die, so vitality is definitely useless. As of Primary Stat or Socket, I think Cooldown Reduction is much more useful. Perhaps you should change the priority of those traits, such as

1. Cooldown Reduction

2. Block Chance

3. Critical Hit Chance

4. Primary Stat

5. Socket (gemmed with Primary Stat)

What do you think?

Since it's saying the effect is for "when hit" I do not think it applies to all charm effects but only the ones from teh auto-attacks.
Usually how diablo items does it.

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

Blizzard has posted an official preview of Diablo 3's upcoming Season 34 that starts on January 24!
The ongoing Season 33 ends on January 19. Season 34 reintroduces the Light's Calling Season theme, which means players can obtain Angelic Crucibles, consumables that may be used to Sanctify any Legendary item, infusing it randomly with one of three new class-specific powers. Cosmetic rewards for the patch are as follows:
Completing the Season 34 Guarian journey grants the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.
Haedrig's Gift will award you with the following sets in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival For more information about Season 34, check out the official blog post below.

Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 34: Light’s Calling. Starting on January 24 at 5 p.m. PST/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Light’s Calling theme, which first debuted with Season 27. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 33 will officially come to an end on January 19.

      Season Theme
Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendor, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.

      Season Cosmetic Rewards
In Season 34, awards originally available from Season 10 are returning. In addition to the Head and Shoulder slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Black Soulstone themed portraits and the scholarly Loremaster pennant first introduced in Season 10.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic ones for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth alongside the Shades of the Nephalem and complete the Season 34 Guardian Journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five:
Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete two Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at level 70 in under 15 seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top
      Seasonal Conquest
Seasonal Conquests are additional goals you can complete as part of our Season Journey. To earn all the cosmetic rewards, you'll need to complete at least three of the Conquests below. The challenges available in Season 34 include:
Sprinter and Speed Racer task you with completing Acts I through V at max level in under one hour. Want to go fast while killing things? Boss Mode and Worlds Apart are right up your alley. On A Good Day and I Can’t Stop are making a return, if leveling your Legendary Gems is more your thing. Finally, if you’re keen to prove your mastery of various Class Sets, Years of War and Dynasty will be returning along with Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets. Best of luck! Return to Top
      Haedrig’s Gift

Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works.
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival Return to Top

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
      Season End (Source)
Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.

The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season. This fourth slot will have the choices of the first 3 slots but will not stack with any of them, providing additional flexibility to your build. Return to Top Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to any who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 33, this means awards originally available from Season 9 are returning to the Season Journey. However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve already participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth in the Trial of Tempests to earn the Stupendous Contraption pet and the Industrial Portrait Frame.
In addition to the Chest and Gloves slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Pandemonium portraits, and the cute and craggily Rocky pet first introduced in Season 9. Return to Top Season Journey Rewards

Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 33? Here are the challenges you’ll face: For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at level 70 on Torment X or higher. Also returning for Season 33 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete the entire Diablo III campaign from Act I to Act V at Level 70 in under an hour! Next is Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million Gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. We're also bringing Thrill/Superhuman, which requires completion of a Greater Rift Level 45—solo and without any Set items equipped. And lastly we'll be bringing back Speed Demon/Need for Speed, meaning you'll need to beat a Torment X Nephalem Rift at Level 70 in 2 minutes. Best of luck! Return to Top Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below.
