Clin 1 Report post Posted May 21, 2015 Hi Guys, I've been puzzling over the BM recommended talents and 2 of them have me quite baffled so I'm wondering if anyone can throw any light on them. 1. Tier 4, recommendation says "Steady Focus as soon as there is more than one target involved". But I fail to see how Steady Focus is in any way affected, or improves things, by having multiple targets? 2. Tier 5 says "Blink Strikes can be a better option but these situations do not really come up during BRF raiding". WHAT situations?? Further, why would a BM hunter NOT want their pet damage increased by 50%?? Surely that's better than either of the other two options for BM (or has anyone got figures to show otherwise?). Finally a question.... If one uses Dire Beast does the abilities of Blink Strikes apply to it also or is just the main pet? Thanks

But I fail to see how Steady Focus is in any way affected, or improves things, by having multiple targets? Steady Focus increases your's and your pet's focus regeneration by 50%. What makes this useful in multi-target situations is that you will get more buffed Claws/Smacks/Bites (pet basic attacks, they do 100% more damage and cost 100% more focus when your pet is above 50 focus), which then get Beast Cleave'd (Beast Cleave spreads 75% of your pets melee and Basic Attack damage to all targets in ~8-10 yards of your pet). Blink Strikes increases your pet's Basic Attack damage (bite/claw/smack) by 50%, which is good if you are going to be Beast Cleaving for a good amount of time during a fight (since, as I stated above, beast cleave is influenced by basic attacks). On a ST (Single Target) fight for me, my pet's claw ability did 1.15M damage. If I had taken BS, that would be 1.73M damage instead, a difference of ~575k damage. Stampede, however, does nearly 1.3M damage per use in my gear, more than 2.25 times the damage I would have gained from Blink Strikes. Finally a question.... If one uses Dire Beast does the abilities of Blink Strikes apply to it also or is just the main pet? No, the pet summoned by Dire Beast only melee's it's target.
