Scorthea 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2015 So I've been going between Icy Veins and Noxxic for my information. Now both Icy Veins and Noxxic say entirely different things. Why is breath of sindragosa being used more? This site still states that defile is the only viable option. I've looked at some armory, and quite a few frost DKs are using breath of sindragosa as well. Also why the switch to Blood tap for 2h? I've been using Runic Empowerment / Corruption Will switching to blood tap and Breath of sindragosa ultimately improve my dps?
Anfauglith 6 Report post Posted May 22, 2015 BoS for Frost is better if you can sustain it longer through AMS soaking. Ultimately, the difference is not too big. Runic Empowerment is the worse talent of the whole tier. Runic Corruption is an OK alternative to Blood Tap if you are having management problems. As Frost, you need to have control over your runes so that you have an Obliterate prepared for when KM procs. The ability to pool Blood Charges for these moments is exactly what makes Blood Tap so much better than the other two talents.
demonardvark 556 Report post Posted May 27, 2015 Breath of Sindragosa does huge damage. What makes it even more viable for 2h frost is the Tier 17 bonus. Activating pillar of frost gives you a nice chunk of bonus runic power to further fuel sindragosas. So, on unholy I had trouble getting down proper soaking due to certain mechanics and being assigned different roles. As frost I no longer cared because between plague leech, blood tap, empowered, and pillar of frost I can keep up Sindragosas for a solid 30 seconds easily further extended if I get lucky to AMS some more juice. Arrkhal 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2015 If I had to guess, they're waiting until after 6.2 to rewrite the guide. Not much point in putting a lot of work into something that'll potentially be obsolete that quickly.
