I have not tried Vuh'do yet and would like to. Could you post a good link on Vuh'do setup or options? I have tried Grid+Clique and like it but I did not want my Pitbull unit frames affected by Clique. I know you can use the Frame Blacklist options but I did not understand the naming conventions on the frames and didn't want to mess with trying each one. (lazy I know) Healbot really does everything I want it to do except place role icons on players. Is there a performance issue as to why people are anti-Healbot? I am rarely a healer for raids so I'm sure their may be plenty of things I'm missing on this.

The things I have healbot setup for are Mage: Slowfall/Focus Magic. DK: Raise Ally. Ret Pally: WoG/Cleanse/HoF/HoP/HoS/Righteous Defense/Lay on Hands.

I am going to post my UI in the appropriate thread, my healbot is configured different looking than most peoples. Also I will be posting a PowA question for you in that thread.

1. Carbonite - playing wow without carbonite is unfathomable. It's mapping, questing, farming and warehouse functionality is top notch!

When I was leveling my rogue, I tried to install it and I just couldn't figure out what it did, except for messing up my minimap and the display of my quest objectives :P

I could go on and on about all the little things carbonite does that I love but here's the short list

• Mapping - It's google earth for Wow in a sizeable minimap.
• The guide - is a function that allows you to select things like Auctioneer, Banker, Barber..etc.. and put's a waypoint and guide arrow on the map for you
• Warehouse - shows you any item on any toon for that server with a search filter. Also shows you character time played, session money, Honor and arena pts, and profession levels for each character.
• Will track gathering nodes and display them on your map.
• PVP BG maps that track positions of team in real time.
• It will ping the map with the last known coordinates of enemies in the area.

When it's dispelling you need, Decursive's a winner. Makes dispelling SO MUCH easier.

Basically, it functions as a small bar with squares indicating players that you can unlock to drag around, and then when the addon detects a debuff on someone, it shows up as a indicator on that player's square and then you can just click and it'll dispel on its own. Loving it since I got it.

One I didn't see mentioned that I use is IceHuD. The basic setup puts my health, rage (mana, focus, etc.), as well as that of my target, as bars right beside my toon. Cast and breath bars are also default. In addition, I've added a target DoT bar, as well as all the buffs and debuffs. With Power Auras added, my display is probably too noisy for most, but I like having visibility to all of that information without having to move my eyes much.

Also, the Threat Plates scheme (?) of Tidy Plates is pretty much a must have for tanking.

I don't use an UI add on but DBM shouldn't be messing things up... my dad runs wow on a mac and has none of these issues.

First question (I know it is the obvious one) is your add on up to date. Next have you gone to the 'addon' button on the character select screen?

Otherwise can you talk us how you did the instillation of the adds?

Hey u really don't need bacon with elvui as its has its own bag module as for the greyboxes wellDid u run the initial set up anyway just type /elvui in ur chat opens the options easiest thing then is to Rerun the installation or u can modify the settings of each module as u like

Well since 2 of my favourites were already mentioned (postal, altoholic) I should probably mention "Overachiever" if you like running out with friends and doing achieve/mount/title runs or just generally making sure you have all of an achieve done this is great. When someone links an achieve and you mouse over it it will show if you've done it or how much is done or undone. For example if you've got 4 buddies with you and you're all working on lets say , the red proto drake achieve you can tell who has what left to do to get it done. Tells you dungeons raids etc.

I use an addon called TellMeWhen. I track almost everything with it.

For those of you who use (or are familiar with) WeakAuras, this is kinda the same thing.

 

In short TellMeWhen can make an icon pop up in your screen (This icon is unclickable in almost all cases) when certain conditions are met.

 

A good example for a tankswitch:

Say you are fighting Kor'kron Dark Shaman and the tanks need to keep switching to keep Froststorm Strike stacks low.

I can make an icon that shows up only if the other tank (in my case also my focus target) has this actual debuff (regardless of how many stacks). This icon that appears shows me how many stacks the other tank has, making it easy to taunt at the right time. The icon will disappear as soon as the other tank loses the debuff.

This is a mere example of MANY posibilities. These icons are very customizable and can make playing ALOT simpler.

 

A small warning, if you are unexperienced in these types of things, it may be a bit overwhelming. if you just keep trying you will automatically discover exactly how much you can do.
