Starfall in opener

I'm wondering if it's optimal to use starfall in multitarget opener, like lets say hans & frans. As we've progressed (and wiped) I had quite many tries to test my opener there, and I feel like Starfall (during CA) is a dps loss rather than a gain. Yeah, I get some damage out of it, but it's not significant bigger than using starsurge does by it self, plus we have to take the empowerment buff into account. So maybe someone more experienced (or who did the math) can clarify this? It may seem that i've just been doing something wrong ^.^

On two-boss fights, I prefer to keep my lasers ticking on both, and do my single-target rotation on one of them, using Starsurge instead of Starfall. Balance of Power becomes a very good alternative to Euphoria on this kind of fight as well, since it allows you to spend more time nuking as well as boosting your multi-dot damage, though I still use Euphoria since contrary to popular belief, I feel the shorter cast times improve mobility rather than hinder it.. plus it reduces the margin for error because if you forget and let Sunfire fall off, it isn't 5 years until it comes around again.

 

This is my opener on two target fights (divided up by GCD):

 

Incarnation

Pot + Starsurge (at max range before pull)

Berserking + CA + Moonfire

Moonfire other boss

Starfire

Starfire

Starsurge

Repeat the last 3 actions until CA has 3-4 seconds remaining

Refresh Moonfire on both targets before CA falls off

Yep, that's exactly what I've come into after experimenting.

Hi. If both the targets are important to damage, then Starfall is a dps gain on 2+ targets in Lunar Eclipse or during Celestial Alignment compared to just using Starsurge. If you check some of the best logs on Warcraftlogs for Hanz & Franz that is exactly what you will find. On 2 targets however, the difference between Starsurge and Starfall is minimal and hopefully you will have enough Shooting Stars procs to use both.
