So here's a massive list of what we have going down in 6.2 with battle pets.

DRAENOR LEGENDARY PET BATTLES!

 

New Legendary Pet Battles have been added in 6.2.  All of these pets contain the ability Fel Corruption which increases their damage by 50% and decreases damage taken by 50%.  We will really have to exploit weaknesses, strengths for our pets, and find abilities with high levels of synergy to take down these beasts.  Here are the new trials for your pet army!

 

(NOTE: All of the following strategies are PURE theorycraft.  I've not tested any of them.  All of the strats are developed using logic, pet strengths, pet weaknesses, and the countless previous pet battles I've done.  Some may not work - but I promise you, once 6.2 is live, I'll make sure working strategies will be here!)

 

1. Bleakclaw - found 16,45

 

How to win: Bleakclaw is flying, thus weak to Magic, and possesses the following abilities: Lift Off (Flying), and Savage Claw (Flying).  He has LOTS of Speed, so your pets will likely be going 2nd.  For this, we will load up on Dragon pets with magic abilities!

 

Use any 3 Dragon pets that have magical abilities.  For this, use Unborn Val'kyr, Nexus Whelpling, and Lil Tarecgosa.  Open with Doom then use Unholy Ascension.  Bring in Nexus Whelpling and apply Arcane Storms and then Mana Surge.  Bring in Lil Tarecgosa with Arcane Blast and Surge of Power to mob up this beast.

 

2. Chaos Pup - found 25,76

 

How to win: Chaos Pup is a super fast, super strong Beast pet who uses two beast moves: Howl and Bite.  With Fel Corruption and Howl, he can decimate your team quickly.  Flyers with Mechanical moves are the way to go here.  

 

Start off with Tranquil Mechanical Yeti.  Open with Call Lightning and then use Ion Cannon.  Next, bring in Mechanical Axebeak and use Decoy, Hawk Eye, then Haywire.  To cleanup, bring in your Darkmoon Tonk and use Missile and Ion Cannon when it will finish off Chaos Pup.

 

3. Corrupted Thundertail - found 53,65

 

How to win: Corrupted Thundertail is a Beast with Devour and Tail Whip which are Beast and Water moves.  Devour heals if it kills your pet, so you must prevent this ability from ever healing him to your best ability.  

 

Start off with Tranquil Mechanical Yeti.  Open with Call Lightning and then use Ion Cannon.  Next, bring in Mechanical Axebeak and use Decoy, Hawk Eye, then Haywire.  To cleanup, bring in your Darkmoon Tonk and use Missile and Ion Cannon when it will finish off Corrupted Thundertail.
 

4. Cursed Spirit - found 31,38

 

How to win: Cursed Spirit is an Undead pet with two Undead attacks.  For this reason, we are using Water pets with Critter attacks!  

 

This is going to be a great fight for your frogs!  Any three frogs with Swarm of Flies and Tongue Lash will wittle away at this ghost.  

 

5. Dark Gazer - found 54,30

 

How to win: Dark Gazer is a Magic pet with two Magic Moves.  Most troubling is one of his abilities interrupts your pet if he is faster.  Considering he has 366 speed, this is going to be frustrating.  Thankfully, this ability has a 3 round CD.  Our best strategy is to use any Mechanical pets with Dragon abilities.  We have one of those.

 

Open up with your Pandaren Mechanical Dragonling.  Start with Decoy, use Thunderbolt, and then spam Breath.  Hopefully this starts the beat down.  Next, bring in Lil Tarecgosa and spam Breath.  Use Surge of Power right before dying, hopefully with the 50% damage buff from hitting an enemy below 50%.  Finally, bring in your Nexus Whelpling and spam Tail Sweep.  

 

6. Defiled Earth - found 75,37

 

How to win: Defiled Earth has an Elemental attack and a Mechanical attack.  Ideally, we'd like to use some Critters with Water attacks.  Since Earthquake deals periodic damage over time, we'd also like a Critter with Water attacks AND a shielding effect.  Say hello to your snail team.

 

Bring in your Rapana Whelk and use Shell Shield, Dive on CD, and spam Absorb otherwise.  When your RW is out of HP, bring in Rusty Snail, Scooter the Snail, Shimmershell Snail, or Silkbead Snail and do the exact same thing.  Slow and steady wins this race.  

 

7. Direflame - found 57,37

 

How to win: Direflame is an Elemental with an Elemental and a Dragonkin attack.  We want to protect ourselves from the periodic damage of Scorched Earth and prevent the Elemental damage as much as possible.  We're using the snails again.

 

Bring in your Rapana Whelk and use Shell Shield, Dive on CD, and spam Absorb otherwise.  When your RW is out of HP, bring in Rusty Snail, Scooter the Snail, Shimmershell Snail, or Silkbead Snail and do the exact same thing.  Slow and steady wins this race.

 

8. Dreadwalker - found 47,53

 

How to win: Dreadwalker is a VERY powerful Mechanical with Mechanical abilities.  That means we're bringing in Elemental pets and overwhelming him with DoTs and fire.  Scorched Earth means all pets are burning, which is even sweeter for us.

 

If you actually have Hatespark the Tiny, he's going to rock this pet's world.  Spam Deep Burn and use Conflagrate on CD.  For those without Hatespark, no worries - lots of pets will rock this guy.  Soul of the Forge, Lil Ragnaros, Pandaren Fire Spirit, Blazing Cindercrawler, and Fel Flame all deal great damage to this enemy pet.  Use Immolate, Burn, and any Elemental ability to overwhelm him.

 

9. Felfly - found 56,81

 

How to win: Felfly is a flying pet with a Flying ability and a Beast ability, both of which poison you.  We want to use Dragons with Magic abilities.  

 

Use any 3 Dragon pets that have magical abilities.  For this, use Unborn Val'kyr, Nexus Whelpling, and Lil Tarecgosa.  Open with Doom then use Unholy Ascension.  Bring in Nexus Whelpling and apply Arcane Storms and then Mana Surge.  Bring in Lil Tarecgosa with Arcane Blast and Surge of Power to mob up this beast.

 

10. Felsworn Sentry - found 26,32

 

How to win: Felsworn Sentry is the tank of this legendary pet class.  He has a LOT of HP, Repair, and an Elemental ability that deals damage and leaves a DoT.  That means we need to use a lot of Elemental attacks on him after debuffing him for major damage taken.  

 

Open with Unborn Val'kyr and apply Doom and then spam Shadow Shock until he uses Repair.  While repairing, reapply Doom and then use Unholy Ascension.  Bring in your strongest Elemental pet, apply Immolate, and then use Conflagrate and other powerful Elemental attacks from pets like Hatespark or Fel Flame.

 

11. Mirecroak - found 42,72

 

How to win: Mirecroak is a Water pet with two Water abilities.  Unfortunately, one of his attacks is Frog Kiss which always has a chance to turn you into a Frog, most likely right at the worst time possible.  We're going to try kicking his ass with lots of Magic pets that have Flying abilities.

 

Start with Jade Owl and use Hawkeye, Lift Off, and then spam Slicing Wind.  Unfortunately, this is your only pet with the perfect set up.  In this case, we hope Jade Owl does a lot of damage.  Finish Mirecroak off with Gilnean Raven's Call Darkness and Nocturnal Strike with Alpha Strikes and bring in any other flyer with Nocturnal Strike.  

 

12. Netherfist - found 48,36

 

How to win: Netherfist is a Humanoid with Humanoid abilities and packs a BRUTAL beating.  Crush deals lots of damage and if Haymaker's 50% chance to hit connects, your pets are going to need more than bandages to heal.  Ideally, we'd want to use Beasts with Undead abilities.  Worms have the Consume ability, so we can build our initial team around that.

 

Start with Jungle Grub and spam Consume and Acidic Goo.  Toss in Larva, Maggot, Mr. Grubbs, or any other worm and rotate Consume and Acidic Goo.  Another slow and steady might win the race type fight.

 

13. Skrillix - found 48,31 (cave)

 

How to win: Skrillix is a Humanoid with one offensive Humanoid ability and Dodge.  That means we're using some Beasts with Undead abilities just like we used against Netherfist.  Bring out the worms.

 

Start with Jungle Grub and spam Consume and Acidic Goo.  Larva, Maggot, Mr. Grubbs, and any other worm should follow suit.

 

14. Tainted Maulclaw - found 43,85

 

How to win: Tainted Maulclaw is a Water pet that has one offensive ability which is of Undead type.  He also has Shell Shield which will make this fight last a while.  Ideally, we want to use Water pets with Flying abilities.  Mr. Chilly suits this perfect as does Pengu and Tundra Penguin.

 

 Start with Mr. Chilly and apply Slippery Ice and then spam Peck.  When Mr. Chilly dies, bring out Pengu and rinse and repeat.  If Pengu meets his end, finish with Tundra Penguin.

 

15. Vile Blood of Draenor - found 44,46

 

How to win: Vile Blood of Draenor is a Magic pet that has a Magical ability and a Water ability.  That means we're going back to our Mechanical pets with Dragon abilities.

 

Open up with your Pandaren Mechanical Dragonling.  Start with Decoy, use Thunderbolt, and then spam Breath.  Hopefully this starts the beat down.  Next, bring in Lil Tarecgosa and spam Breath.  Use Surge of Power right before dying, hopefully with the 50% damage buff from hitting an enemy below 50%.  Finally, bring in your Nexus Whelpling and spam Tail Sweep.
