Looks pretty good from to me, not much focus capping, good usage of CS, and good uptime on ST.  The biggest issue I have is your trinkets are really meh.  Look to get a BHotM or a censer ASAP.

 

Yeah, sadly no trinkets dropping whatsoever and my guild is not running BRF anymore, so I'll just have to wait. Thanks a lot for the input tho.

Good evening.  This is my first post on the forums.  Looking for any advice on how to improve my DPS.  I just implemented a few @mouseover macros into my keybinds before raid yesterday, so I'm still getting comfortable with that part of my setup and it had a negative impact on a few of our boss fights.  Thanks for any feedback.

This is the damage done tab > select the player (in this case you) and it shows you this screen.  To get the ideal or perfect amount of casts you take the fight length (in seconds) and divide it by 9 (the cooldown of CS).

• 80% uptime on Sniper Training is really low.
• You delayed your second RF buy quite a lot, and this cost you pretty much the entire third use.
• Your second Agi potion was mistimed, should have been with RF + Blood Fury in execute range (if you had used the second RF as soon as it was up, then the third would've been where you should've used the potion)
• Barrage on a ST fight without the t18 4pc.  Should have used Glaive Toss.
• 15/18 Kill Shot casts.

There's nothing here for me to analyze.  If you think gear is going to magically increase your dps by 15-20k (or to however much you think you should be doing), then you're quite mistaken.  What I need are logs from a raid encounter.  Just because you say you are following the priority correctly doesn't mean you actually are, as this is only too often the case.

Not an analysis request, more of a warcraftlogs question: How do you get the max. amount of Kill Shots that could have been cast during an encounter?

 

Calculating Chimaera Shots is easy but to get Kill Shots I'd have to calculate how many boss HP = 35% and then take the duration from the point where the boss reached 35% until he died, divide by 10 and multiply by 2... Is that what you're doing, Orthios? Are you calculating it like that or is there an easier way to see it directly in the logs?

Not an analysis request, more of a warcraftlogs question: How do you get the max. amount of Kill Shots that could have been cast during an encounter?

 

Calculating Chimaera Shots is easy but to get Kill Shots I'd have to calculate how many boss HP = 35% and then take the duration from the point where the boss reached 35% until he died, divide by 10 and multiply by 2... Is that what you're doing, Orthios? Are you calculating it like that or is there an easier way to see it directly in the logs? 

For a single target fight (or really, any fight where you don't have multiple targets going under 35% at the same time), it's pretty simple.  You go to the resources tab, then change friendlies to enemies (the default resource is heath).  From there you look at the max health (health at the beginning of the fight) and multiply by 0.35 to get the health that the target had at 35%.  You then find that point on the graph and that will give you the time-stamp of when the target reached 35%.  Finally, you take the difference in the time-stamp and when the target died and the one you just found and divide by 11 and multiply by 2 (you use 11 because you get 2 back-to-back Kill Shots before the 10s cd is really triggered, so from the time between each pair of KS's is 11s).  For a multi-target fight such as Hellfire Council, you do this for each boss, and for something like Hellfire Assault it's kinda hard, since there are TONS of adds that die fairly quickly, and none have a lot of health.  For that fight I tend to look at the larger targets, namely the siege engines, gorebound felcasters/terrors, and berserkers.  HFA is really a pain to analyze Kill Shot usage on, as there's a good chance that it's on cd from just KS-ing one target when another goes below 35%.

Hey can someone explain the constantly high miss rate of CS on Warcraftlogs ?
Also how does it work with the nature/frost cs variant in terms of CS per minute? On single target Cs randomly? does either or and not both but still both variants are in the log with slight differences.

What do you mean by miss rate?  If you mean that number of hits not equaling the number of casts on each line for CS, then of course it won't unless you get a 100% cleave rate.  On a single target fight, the number of frost hits + the number of nature hits will always be equal to the number of CS casts.  Which variant (frost or nature) that gets cast each time you use CS is random.

I know that i have to really replace the Skull Of War Trinket for Images (but my luck on rolls and personal loots its very bad).

 

I dont have the 730 Ring and i dont have the biss trinket yet..

The first thing I see across all your fights is that your sniper training (ST) uptime is really low.  The second thing I'm seeing is that you aren't casting Chimaera Shot (CS) as much as you should be.  This ability should be used as soon as it's available, always.  Once you get these two down, marksman is fairly easy.  

 

Also, a note on logging, go to the system settings > network and check the 'Advanced Combat Logging' box, this allows for resource data to be collected and analyzed.

For Kill Shot on Council:

• Blademaster - 8/10 casts.
• Gurtogg - 8/8 casts.
• Dia - 6/8 casts.

Overall not too bad, there are more KS casts on the mirrors, but calculating those is a pain to do, so I'm mostly worried about KS on the bosses themselves.  Other than that, the ST uptime is a bit low, but completely understandable if you got a couple of reaps.

You definitely tend to focus starve yourself. You don't need to cast Aimed Shot immediately when you have 50 focus. As long as you don't cap your focus it doesn't matter if you cast 2 Steady Shots in a row instead of casting Aimed Shot immediately when it's available. Your playstyle will become more fluent and you won't focus starve yourself as much.

 

And you should use Barrage more. You can use it on CD, as long as you have more than one target.

Wich items de you guys recomend to change in my gear for increase my dps to a 60k dps.

 

Legendary Ring i am 14/33 Thomes. So i have to wait like 4 weeks more at least. I am getting 5 tomes a week doing most of the time 12/13 bosses a week.

 

Trinket: Change Skull of war for Image or Maliciuos Censer.

 

Weapon: I have crafted +6, but i already have 3 items crafted (2 Trinket and Chest), so i need to change trinket or weapon from Mannoroth / Socrethar H.

 

Any other change you would do it on my gear?

-> Too low, 95%+ is definitely possible in that fight. Try to pay a bit more attention to ST.

 

- You used Barrage on single target. Only use it when you have at least 2 targets.

- You delayed your 3rd Rapid Fire too much and missed a 4th RF because of that.

- You should have used the second potion when Bloodlust was cast instead of at the end of it.

 

As for trinkets, I would definitely use Mirror of the Blademaster. As for the other ones: Probably Skull of War or Malicious Censer.

-> This is way too low. Council is not a fight where you have to move much, so 90% is about the lowest you should ever have here and 95%+ is what you should aim for.

Latency shouldn't be a problem, since your casts get kind of "queued up", meaning that you can press the key for a spell even before the GCD is up and it will be cast immediately after the GCD is up.

Mirror of the Blademaster is a really great trinket, try to get that as soon as possible. Other than that, I don't know... The crafted weapon isn't thaaat much better than your current one. I would drop both of your trinkets as soon as possible since neither is that great.

Thank you for sharing your experience and offering help.

I want to ask you: what is the problem with these two rogues? Ангсоц + Эверморе. I think, these logs are the most representative, 'cause there are fights similar to training dummies. They, of course, always say smth like "not enough gear", but I am convinced, that there are certain problems with their attitude towards their UI+items+behaviour on encounters.

I'll be very glad if you give any feedback.

I'm afraid you're in the wrong spot for Mage help, as this is the Hunter section.  I will, however, say this: your hunter, Bluelilith, should be playing marksman, not beast mastery.  There currently is only one reason to play BM in HFC, and that is if your raid team is lacking on melee-range AoE, which doesn't seem to be the case.
