Yeah, I realise that T_T and from what I can tell they're probably not going to improve so I'm trying to minimize the effect this has on my own personal improvement. The people who are getting the highest demonbolt hits will be using Copelands Clarity on the pull along with proccing the PVP trinket before the pull with a gear swap to another before the fight starts. My average Chaos Bolt damage on my last Butcher kill was only like 30k ahead of yours and I have like 10 ilvl on you, and I was using Shards of Nothing, Quiescent Runestone, and PvP proc on pull. Huh, didn't think of the PvP swap. How do you proc that? Burning rush or something like that? And yeah, now that I went through a couple of high ranking logs I found that sneaky proc there, thanks for clearing that up. I was mostly bothered by my DPS since I saw guys pulling 4k or even more out of the same gear I've got and I immediately blamed it on Demonbolts -.-". Now I can see that most of my DPS loss lies in me not being used to demonology just yet and maybe the talents/glyphs might help also. Anyway, thanks for your help. I do have two specific questions: On pg 4, Liquidsteel is responding to Crians. But I am casting havoc and then CBing Arcane Aberration. I am then usually able to Shadowburn the Aberration. But it sounds like I should be Havocing the Shadowburn in order to double my ember regen. (And yes. Thank you. It is now clear why I need a Shadowburn mouseover macro.) Secondly, Shizwix casts Grimoire:Doomguard 5 times. I feel really stupid, but I do not understand. I am not even sure how to guess. (I am missing something basic, 2+2=4) Thirdly, I read what I should be doing to improve my play, but that does not always cause me to improve my play. (I know I need to get DS up pretty much on cool down and timed with trinket if possible, but I appear to ignore my flashing TellMeWhen icon ¾ of the way through the fight. Geez.) I know i have a bit of work on my multi target dps but if you could take a look mainly at butcher/brackenspore and let me know if my build/burn and MC proc usage looks ok. I found on a few occasions i was hitting 1k fury and DS had about 8secs to go so i waited for DS and then dumped the 4 DB. You should either 1) bleed the excess Fury then Demonbolt dump or 2) know in advance that this situation will occur (usually on cycles 4 onwards) and dump some Fury early. Enough for to say "yikes". But then I open up Casts tab. 3 minute fight. 3 Cycles of 3, 3, 3 and 4 DBs. 2 DS casts. You are not doing your best buff spell on the best damage spell. Not impressive, considering DS glyph and AD are mandatory for Demo and for fights like Kargath. Butcher. Uptimes are better. Last cycle wasn't buffed with DS, considering the length of fight being 2 minutes. Bracken. 3rd cycle unbuffed. Imperator. Cycles number 4,6,7,9 and 10 are unbuffed. Learn your buttons, make them easy to track and to see. Use 4 DBs cycle as basic one. 3 DBs are for situations related to moving, DF generation problems and stuff. Get your hands over DS glyph if you want to stick to Demo. Correct me if I'm wrong. Hope that helps. Good luck! Edit: OK, taking into the account that DS glyph wasn't used, there are still some issues. AD makes 3 charges of DS available in 3 minutes. Kargath still has two casts. Other fights are fine considering this thing I wasn't paying attention to. Edit 2: I'm sorry again, looks like Terrorguard casts were there. Completely exhausted from tonight's Imperator tries. Shadowburning and Havocs with mouseover were OK for me, but I can't reach our 2nd warlock's level of dps for some reason. Swithcing back to Aff could work as I'm more comfy with it, but p4 adds are the issue. We are still dying from stuff. Sandman's proc is more bitchy than my GF. Got 2 pulls when it only proced at 30 seconds of fight or so. I want to quit WoW, reroll into Shadow Priest and have 20 more wipes as wlock at the same time. Very mixed feelings. I'm new to Demo and as far as my guild's dps goes, I'm not doing bad. Constantly towards the top of the charts. However, looking at how I'm doing compared to other Demo locks at my ilvl, something is not being done right. I've compared my logs to the top parsers and I see that my demonbolt damage is much lower, besides that, I'm doing the same amount of casts, similar uptime on other abilities, etc. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong! Also, I am aware my weapon's enchant is not optimal. I plan on replacing it asap, but I don't think that alone is causing the massive difference in dps from myself to top parsers. I know it's bitchy(oh how I'm suffering on my Imp tries), but try your best to avoid it.KJC is an overkill, imo. We don't move this much, and because of shadowburns there is a plenty of embers to stick AD'ed DS in. Wishing you best of luck!And yeah, I think I've seen second warlock from your logs somewhere around... @Storytime.Glyphed DS is bad for Aff. Your Void Shards are 20 seconds, the sync will be more effective considering you've used SB Haunt in every fight.Too much Soul Swaps. Avoid them, you only spend 3 GCDs to apply DoTs. You could save a ton of shards.You're also forgetting 2nd pot in every fight after Butcher.@Hawkin,Drkdragon said it all pretty much. Can only advice adding some more Drain Soul.And yeah, his 2nd pot usage is weird at some points. Use it when BL is applied, usually, and sync with DS/trinkets. At some fights he is just casually castin' it when DS ends and he probably don't have haunts to spend on it @sankius,your 4th DB in your Butcher fight went off unbuffed. Probably a knockback issue, but try to watch it carefully. Window is pretty darn small.Don't be afraid to Doom the shooters on Bracken. It's kinda worth.Other from that, nice work. Get familiar with spec and you'll sucseed.@Basillian,Welcome!Your logs seem fine(that means I can't see something critical that will instantly cure you) .The only issue I see is your 2nd pot usage. It's a bit off from your CC cooldown. Handling Nightmare Fire is difficult in Demo, try to change it for Runestone if you have one.@KerberButcher - only 1 pot. C'mon!Your 3rd cycle only has 3 DBs, and 4th is a messy unbuffed 2 DBs. Controversal thing, but it's ok for me to hold your DS for a while and then have a good cycle(at least 3 DBs)Twins - opening messed up, DBs before DS. Mess at cycle 2 and 4/5 followed. Generally it's more effective to use Cata as Demo on twins, because ToC movement is insane.Koragh - Destro stuff. SB count is fine, but you didn't Havoc them. Immo uptime is not good, and 2 pot is way too far from Bloodlust and from that burn cycle either.Imperator - Only Havoc count is bothering me. Everything else is fine.Correct me if I'm wrong. I was more wondering about how much dps I "should" be doing. For example should I be hitting 30k about now or am I close but could maybe squeeze out 1 or 2k more? I have the 655 instance of shards at the moment as an alternative. Would it be beneficial to switch to that trink and use it for my initial 2 demon bolt phase, and save copelands for the my first major burn phase?
