Help with my rogue =(

Hi,

I've been playing with rogue for a long time, and it's my first time i have a low dps, no matter what... i really don't know if is my fault in rotation, or gear, or reforge, or gems, or everything together. Once i'm the only rogue in my guild and don't have anything to ask for help... i create this, please help me... and be nice if i'm doing something really noob =P

My Rotation:

Stealth -> Shadowstep -> Ambush -> Revealing Strike -> Slice and Dice (on 3 CB)...

than start a building CB with Sinistre Strike until have 4CB, the last with Revealing Strike. Done 5CB, rupture. Reapeat the CB in the same way. Done 5CB, Eviscerate.... always keep Slice and Dice with 5CB (only make on 3CB in the start).

Sometimes i skip the rupture, in fights like The Stone Guard, because i keep Blade Flurry on.

I've taken a look at your armory and cannot find anything wrong, except for your cloak, which is not enchanted.

Regarding the logs, there are two things I noticed. I've looked at this log: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/gwfngcprsvv2ncfd/details/4/?s=1917&e=2281 (Feng). The fight lasts 6 minutes and 4 seconds, so 364 seconds.

• In 364 seconds, you cast Eviscerate 25 times, so every 14.5 seconds in average. This is not good enough, you should be able to cast it at least every 10 seconds, all the while maintaining Slice and Dice.
• In 364 seconds, you cast Revealing Strike 31 times, so every 12 seconds in average. The only reason why you are casting Revealing Strike is to refresh the debuff that it applies. This debuff has a 18-second duration, so you should not refresh it every 12 seconds, but rather every 16 or 17 seconds.

You should try to work on these two things and you will see that your DPS will increase noticeably ;)

Hmmm... so i don't need cast Revealing Strike before each Eviscerate? Just to keep the debuff on?

And to make more Eviscerate, maybe i need more haste? to regenarate my energy...

I'll try change this two things, hope my dps gets better

This is something I have been battling with, as well. I have been playing for a year, but have only really soloed most everything. I have a combat rogue and still feel like I am learning everyday. This post really helps me, thanks.

Hi, i'm back...

I still have problem... i dont change enough my gear because "the drops" don't like me, but... what i doing wrong this time? So tired of read so many foruns and guides and stuff, to do terrible runs like that:

Is that active time? too low??? still a Haste problem??? not enough Eviscerate and too much RvS?

I feel really bad for take your time asking to help me... but the Icy-Veins is my favorite site for this things... and i'm still lost, i'll appreciate any type of help.

It's hard to analyze fights like Zor'lok or Tayak because there is a lot of downtime. Would be better if you could provide logs of other fights with no downtime on the boss(es).
