Waysar 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2015 So for the last couple of nights we have been banging our heads at Archimonde. so far we keep hitting the wall at 25% transition, we keep loosing people at this point and are not really sure what to do about it as a guild. My own theory is that people are to trigger happy and breaks their shackles as the Rain of Chaos is going on and that's what keeps wiping us, but im having trouble pointing it out for people on the logs. Anyone that cna help me with that? Secondly for some reason i feel my DPS is really low on this fight as destro even with 4set and 704 ilvl, it feels like im doing something wrong and looking at my own logs im not quite sure what other than im capping embers a bit to much perhaps? This is the most recent logs from last nights raid: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/LWxN6AC14GhB7FbT And this is my armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/ravencrest/Madvas/advanced Any pointers and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted July 14, 2015 This guide gives you all the strategy information you need to defeat Archimonde: https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/archimonde-strategy-guide-normal-heroic. Your DPS problems could only come from a few possible places. Are you using Dark Soul optimally? Are you keeping Immolate up on the boss? Are you using Havoc every time a secondary target is available to get hit? Are you using Shadowburn at every opportunity to gain Burning Embers back? That's pretty much it. If you use Dark Soul, use Havoc, use Shadowburn, and don't Ember cap, you're on your way.

Or are we wanting to line it up with trinkets/ring procs?
Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted July 14, 2015 The fight necessitates a final phase burn. Since nothing in Phase 2 is necessarily a DPS check (should be killing dogs and adds as a Warlock), I'd bank both Dark Souls for 40 seconds of execute.
Recklessfear 33 Report post Posted July 16, 2015 The fight necessitates a final phase burn. Since nothing in Phase 2 is necessarily a DPS check (should be killing dogs and adds as a Warlock), I'd bank both Dark Souls for 40 seconds of execute. This. Seems several fights in HFC have a similar mechanic where banking both charges can be useful for a burn phase. Although you'll take a hit in overall output, if you look carefully at when damage it going out you'll usually find yourself in a good spot. Effective damage>overall damage
