qawsican 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) Hi, I am stuck on choosing which 2h weapon to use currently. Heroic Starshatter (ilevel 502) or Shin'ka. Execution of Dominion (ilevel 496) with the +500 strength gem. I should also note that my Deathknight is an Orc which gives me a 1% expertise racial bonus while using wielding an axe. Thank you. Storm 426 Report post Posted February 14, 2013 Shin'ka, Execution of Dominion There's no comparison. 1% expertise racial bonus is worth about 300 rating. and the 500 str puts it way over the top for any dps spec. For tanking the mastery makes it the best choice, and once again 500 str will give you about 0.5% parry, and higher tanking dps. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Storm 426 Report post Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) With 2 upgrades on a normal Starshatter that sounds about right. the difference in Ilvl is going to start pulling ahead of the bonus you get from the gem. a 497 Star Shatter has +552 dps +150 str, +183 crit. compared to a LFR Shin'ka. that's way more than one 500str gem will make up for.
