demonardvark 556 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 honestly you are doing pretty well. when moving from spread aoe fights (xhul, hellfire) to single target or grouped add fights you may want to switch to defile. It'll lead to higher deeps. Also I don't see you using AMS. If you use AMS and soak more damage you can get more runic power and more frawst strike. As far as getting better frawst strike damage I would just prioritize casting is right when you get your km procs, its your highest priority. last think im sure people will disagree with, but i roll the old master simple style of playing frost. Obliterate just isn't worth it. The way howling blast, razorice, and our mastery play out, howling blast always does more damage then my obliterates. So especially with death runes spending it on howling blasts leads to better damage. I use only my unholy runes for plague strike to keep up diseases (if not running necrotic) and everything else to howling blast. you can even check your logs, your obliterates damage is abyssmal and you really can't fix that. drop it out completely and see what that does for you tl;dr MOAR FRAWST STRIKE, MOAR HOWLING BLAST
Rhiressi 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 i often switch out to defile on single target fights, sometimes I forget if its a soft group and i totally forgot about useing ams for more dps so gonna look out for that use moreand Im kinda like that too with the obliterate, just wanna take it away, feels better to just use it on plauge strike, mostly uses it if I have a KS proc but no rpso im almost never useing it anyway it feels like xDso thanks for all the tips! :D
Mesmorise 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2015 Hey I went through some of you're logs, and I have a few tips/thoughts. - Once you get 4 Piece you're dmg will increase quite a bit., Also for Frost atm Defile is generally not worth it as How much dmg howling blast does. On almost all fights Necrotic Plague Pulls ahead of defile (Even in ST) - For DW frost, it excels at burst aoe/st dmg on demand. For alot of fights to maximize dmg it will be its about saving runes for howling blast spam for add phases, and also saving a rune with blood tap for soul reaper. - I also see you're using Runic Corruption too, I highly recommend you try out Blood tap. In the hands of someone who knows the fight, it can make quite a big dmg difference. Mainly because you can hold charges for Soul Reaper, so you're using it of cd 100% of the time. Also holding charges for howling blast spam. - Regarding Obliterate, its low priority, but its worth using to use up spare unholy/blood runes. - Few tips - Don't sit on killing Machine proc's. - Try out Blood tap, it out performs the other two by miles - Defile is nearly useless in most cases, as it usually gets out dmged by miles by nec - plague.
