I'm kind new still but looking at the Waste set bonus, you'd think Rend would still be a big part of the build. How come it isn't? Is it because it doesn't do that much damage or something? Just out of curiosity is all. Thanks :)

This will luckily be fixed in the new season with the addition of keeping your DR for a few seconds after stopping WW. Gonna make this spec really fun, an probably bring Rend into play.

So I currently play offline because no internet but before 2.6.1 hit I was able to do up to grift 65 with only one ancient piece, my legendary gems only lvl 55 each, my stats weren't properly optimized yet and I am currently using the Bul-Kathos weapon set because the Istvans set is a bigger pain to find lol. Speaking of finding Istvans blade set, what's the best way to go about it? Gambling or upgrading non mighty 1h swords or a combo of the two?

My next question is that with the updates to the ww gear set in 2.6.1 I should easily clear 70 first time go shouldn't I?

Also, is rend viable to use again or is it still not recommended to use?

Gambling at Kadala for weapons normally sucks. Upgrading is normally the most efficient way to get them.

Probably, yeah. Depends on gear and such, but it shouldn't be hard at all. Keep in mind that you'll need to refarm any legendaries that were changed (non-set ones).

Normally only for support.

That is true.

But Oneknight, keep in mind that Kadala is a great way to obtain the needed rare item to upgrade it.

(You just need to be careful that you upgrade the correct item. If you need a One-Hand-Weapon e.g. and you buy 10 one-hand-weapons at Kadala, you will get Daggers, Spears, Swords... Only upgrade the swords to legendary!)

I would say this is a very much a waste of bloodshards since you just Craft the rare weapons that you want to upgrade.

Uh, I've got to admit, that never crossed my mind.

I always thought that wouldn't be possible (just with items you bought).

Thx for the info!

This guide is in need of an update. At least math wise, bk swords with attack speed and one AS roll in rings is a clear winner over istvans due to higher breakpoints. With this setup, perma ip/wotb with a single cdr roll (orotz) or max 2 (shoulders) and no fury problems despite dropping weapons mastery for a dps passive is a reality. It may take a season before real world data show us the best choice. Also, mid tier? The build cleared 118 in ptr and then suffered a 2 level nerf and a buff to bks. Finally, skull grasp is not 300% any more.

Great guides as usual Icyveins :) However, I am either missing something or completely disagree with the speedfarming variation for the WW build. I've been trying this (solo T13 normal rift) for the last hour or so and I think there is a definite lack of defense with this guide as you have us abandon everything that gives us toughness and replace it with speed. I love the idea but in execution I think it could be better as I don't see how anyone who copies the speedfarm guide as it is now would have much success (again, unless I am completely missing something...)

I've been trying to come up with a variation of this that works well and I still think the ORotZ/Skull/BoM is the best option, with Furnace instead of In-Geom. You're almost as fast but now have BoM+FC to help you survive, kill elites faster and still get the uptime on WotB. I've tried a few Avarice/Goldwrap/Boon builds but aside from the convenience of grabbing orbs faster you generally out-run all the gold on the map anyway unless you run back a bit for it, so sticking with BoM as your main defense is still the best imo. I'd love to hear your thoughts about this!

What's your paragon? How well does your gear mirror the stat recommendations in the table?

I appreciate the update! I'm glad this build is still getting attention.

I have a question: why is CRD favored over IAS on weapons and one ring? I believe that 3 IAS rolls (with one CDR roll) will yield 100% uptime on self buffs. Just looking for clarification.

Paragon in season is 790, and I followed the guide probably 90% accurately with rerolls.

And are you actually dying or just being close to death at all times? If it's the latter, then that's fine, as you want to sacrifice as much survivability for speed as possible without dying too often.

his is what Ive done too.

BoM trivializes toughness. Removes the need for Ignore pain (which sucks up CDR from OrtZ needed for WoTB %100 up time).

I removed Ignore Pain and replaced it with Threatening Shout Falter, for increased damage on elites and bosses.

I also changed Whirlwind to use Windshear since having Berserker Rage in this build doesnt Synergize without it for more than a few seconds.

I also removed and replaced Spear/Charge with Leap with Death from above or Iron Impact.

- This allows virtually unlimited leaps for proccing BoM and Ancient Parthsanon Defenders. As well as aiding in movement efficiency.

These changes saw my ability to solo increase by 10 floors.

Every skill can now be used %100 up time while maintaining both damage and defenses and Whirlwind may be spammed continuously to aid with movement speed (bonus from BK Oath) without ever dipping below %95 fury needed for Berserker rage.

IMO This build focuses to much on un necesscary speed for severly lacking toughness with many non-synergizing skills that make the build counterintuitive to itself

However these changes Ive made have been very good and the build is extremely good with it.

The only significant negative difference there is with my changes is the removal of CoE in favor of BoM.

Im unsure if cubing CoE over Skullgrasp would be better...

However. CoEs uptime is only 4 seconds every 15 seconds really. So I dont know.

I do know my ability to kill and survive higher and higher floors, faster and faster, has significantly improved as with the build the way it is shown without any toughness was basically leaving me 1hko by every single elemental attack even with ignore pain (which messed with my CDR for WotB up time and drastically reduced my DPS)

Edit: Ive yet to replace the belt since it isnt needed. Im trying to aim for a witching hour to further improve overall DPS

Could someone explain why Bracers and/or Amulet are eligible to roll either Physical OR Lightning % damage? What I mean by this is, when we change WW with the rune of Wind Shear (making it Lightning Damage). Does Physical % still apply to this? Wouldn't lightning be more superior? Or is that now how it's calculated?

Thanks!

I think they copied over an old template, because this has to be an error. Both dust devils and blood funnel are physical skills so always go for physical element damage.

Lightning ww is a thing of the past.

The guide lists 5 stats under stat priority, 2 of which (Str & Soc) are native to the item, and then 3 more which are all three primary stats, but the item can only roll 2 additional primary stats not 3 unless I am missing something huge, so are the final 2 listed Reduced damage/elites & All res a case of pick which is higher, or can you potentially get a god roll with the 2 native + 3 primary?

I'm curious why this is listed pretty high up the High Tier list. I'm playing it this season since I haven't in a long time and it's just really weak compared to many other High Tier builds I've played on the site.

A brand new season arrives in Diablo 3 next month! Blizzard have the full preview ready so let's take a look at the cosmetic rewards, season journey, Haedrig's Gift sets, and more!
      Season 33 (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem. Starting on October 25 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Shades of the Nephalem theme, which first debuted with Season 22. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 32 will officially come to an end on October 20. Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Patch 2.7.8
      Season Theme
The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season. This fourth slot will have the choices of the first 3 slots but will not stack with any of them, providing additional flexibility to your build. Return to Top Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to any who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 33, this means awards originally available from Season 9 are returning to the Season Journey. However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve already participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth in the Trial of Tempests to earn the Stupendous Contraption pet and the Industrial Portrait Frame.
In addition to the Chest and Gloves slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Pandemonium portraits, and the cute and craggily Rocky pet first introduced in Season 9. Return to Top Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five: Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a Level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete 2 Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at Level 70 in under fifteen seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a Level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top Seasonal Conquest
Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 33? Here are the challenges you’ll face: For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at level 70 on Torment X or higher. Also returning for Season 33 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete the entire Diablo III campaign from Act I to Act V at Level 70 in under an hour! Next is Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million Gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. We're also bringing Thrill/Superhuman, which requires completion of a Greater Rift Level 45—solo and without any Set items equipped. And lastly we'll be bringing back Speed Demon/Need for Speed, meaning you'll need to beat a Torment X Nephalem Rift at Level 70 in 2 minutes. Best of luck! Return to Top Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works: Completing Acts II, III, and IV of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely! The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 33: Barbarian - Might of the Earth Crusader - Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter - The Shadow's Mantle Monk - Monkey King's Garb Witch Doctor - Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard - Firebird's Finery Necromancer - Grace of Inarius Return to Top Patch 2.7.8
Our next patch goes live on October 22 and introduces quality-of-life updates for demon slayers on Mac. New Mac Executables/Mac Native Silicon and Intel: These updates will allow Diablo III to run on new versions of the macOS. PC Experience Stability: This PTR is open to both Mac and PC players. While the focal point of the 2.7.8 PTR is to test technical updates for Mac, we want PC users to monitor their playing experience as well. If you experience any stability issues or difficulties in connecting with Mac players, please give us that feedback. Return to Top

Season 32 of Diablo 3, Ethereal Memory, will go live later today, and we have prepared a list of various useful and updated guides to help you get started!
The Season of Ethereal Memory will start later today at 5 p.m. PDT (NA Servers), 5 p.m. CEST (EU Servers), and 5 p.m. KST (Asian Servers). The theme of Season 32 was first introduced with Season 24 and is now back for another round!
      What are Ethereal Memories?
The theme of the season reintroduces the Ethereals, which are rare and powerful items known from Diablo II and reimagined for Diablo III. You will be able to hunt for all 21 iconic weapons of Diablo 2 during the season, but this time they will be harder to find and will only drop in Ancient or Primal rarity!

To help you with the start of this new season, our team has been busy updating all of our Diablo 3 guides to reflect all the changes ahead of the season launch. You can find our Season 32 Hub, as well as guides for leveling, the season mechanic, rankings, season start guides for each class, and even conquest guides, in the list below.
General Season Guides Our Season 32 guides include all the information you need to know, from Haedrig's Gift sets to SSF and season mechanic explanations:
Seasonal Leveling Guide Season 32 Compendium Ethereal Memories Solo Self-Found Mode (SSF) Leveling Guides
We have you covered with our updated leveling guidelines, regardless of the class you want to play!
Barbarian Season Start Crusader Season Start DH Season Start Monk Season Start Necromancer Season Start Witch Doctor Season Start Wizard Season Start Season 32 Conquest Guides
Finally, if you need help completing any of the season's conquests, we recommend you check out our individual guides listed below:
Curses! Divinity  Years of War Masters of the Universe Boss Mode Season 32 Cosmetic Rewards
Previous season items make their return this season. If you missed out on rewards originally available in Season 8, you will be able to get them this time. Furthermore, the end of journey rewards (originally introduced in Season 17) are back: The Teganze Warrior portrait frame and the Bat pet!

As an interesting side note, the portrait frame you can earn this season is named after Teganze, a zone that was first introduced in Diablo 2 and will be revisited during our journey in the upcoming expansion of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred!

Season 32 in Diablo 3 starts on July 12 and here is the official preview with more details.
      (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 32: Ethereal Memory. Starting on July 12 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Ethereal Memory theme, which first debuted with Season 24. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below.

      Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Season Theme
As the Nephalem reflect on Sanctuary's history, instruments of power from a bygone era resurface. These ethereal memories will grant those persistent enough to search for them unimaginable power. Legends of the past will manifest once more in the present, and you must decide how to best use these gifts—for ethereal power is fugacious by nature, and will soon return to being no more than a myth.
For this seasonal theme, we were inspired to reimagine how Ethereal items could manifest in Diablo III, with 21 iconic weapons making a return from Diablo II. In Season 32, Ethereals are rare, powerful, and fleeting items.
Season 32 reintroduces Ethereals, a weapon-type that players will be able to acquire and hunt for in their upcoming seasonal journey. Ethereals will roll a powerful set of affixes, a random Class Weapon Legendary Power and a random Class Passive Power. Ethereals will have unique icons, names, item types, and sounds originally found in Diablo II. For additional details on Ethereals, check out the list below:
Ethereals are account bound and can only be dropped by monsters, chests, and destructibles, but do not require your character to be Level 70 in order to drop. Ethereals cannot be acquired through Kanai's Cube or from Kadala. Ethereal rarity drop rate is set between Ancient and Primal items. There are 3 unique Ethereals per class. Each Ethereal has fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class Passive Skill. Only one Ethereal can be equipped at a time. Ethereals ignore item durability loss. Legendary Powers and Class Passive Skills rolled on Ethereals do not stack with the same power equipped through Kanai's Cube, Items or Skills. Ethereals cannot be Enchanted, Transmogrified, Dyed, Reforged, or traded. Ethereals can be augmented. Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward players with the Feat of Strength, Ethereal Recollection. Players who accomplish this will have all Ethereal transmogrify options available for future seasonal and non-seasonal play. Ethereals only drop in Seasonal play and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends. Return to Top

Feast your eyes upon the Teganze Warrior Portrait Frame and Bat pet!

In addition to the Boots and Pants slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn a series of portrait frames that smolder with demonic fires of the Burning Hells. The iconic wings of Andariel will also be available once more, allowing you to truly embrace your inner Maiden of Anguish.

      Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey (courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift) have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 32:
Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call Crusader – Seeker of the Light Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
