I have a question, I got a new pants that seems cool.

759 base armor

625 strengh - 626 vitality -117 all element

34% gold - 231 extra xp per death

My question is.. should i go for 130 on all elements? Or maybe get 5% slow on hit on second stats as first are nice? Any idea, hope I get an answer before I just go to slow on hit hehehehe

hey, i just compared my build to one of the top gr-ranked builds...it's literally the same ( except for another law) and the guy makes like 4 x my damage and has 3 x more toughness. yes, he's very hight paragon and got better augments. still the + str difference is"only" about 30% - how on earth can that be?

if some1 has time to compare the 2 builds and lemme know what im doing wrong, that'd be highly appreciated - thx a lot!

Can someone please explain to me the true benefits of the equipping Johanna's Argument vs Faithful Memory?  Obviously, the non-equipped one will be cubed, but I see a massive on dps drop on the stat sheet when I have switch to the Argument.  I haven't tried it out in game to see how it performs, but It seems universally accepted that the Argument should be equipped... When looking at the leaderboards, this is how all the top crusaders are gears.  Any detailed help would be appreciated.

Cause a 1-hander has a higher attack speed, plus switching heavenly strength for Fervor adds attack speed again, PLUS a big chunk of cooldown reduction.

The build strives on attack speed, as more hits means more cooldown reduction from the (2) Light bonus,
allowing for lots of Provoke and Falling Sword use.
Also ring of the Zodiac will aid you more, as more hits =  more cooldown

All this together makes it worth it to trade off the extra dmg of a decent Faithful Memory

I guess that makes sense... trading off the extra damage for the constant cooldowns needed at higher greater rifts.  I'll stick with my faithful memory for now until I get an ancient Argument...currently, I'm 0-16... :(

Finally as I didn't get any answer I went for the slow on hit. Wasted already like 2b and max was 3.4% (and was on the first 50 tries (/cry). I'll keep trying some times.

Btw got to GR99, need get a better  traveller pledge with 20% sacred to improve my gear. I'm on #7 now, #1 is on GR100 on Xbox but he has 7 primals, me only one :(

Could you explain a little bit more pls? I'm still not really convinced :)

What I see is a guaranteed 40% DR for 6 seconds vs. a slightly less guaranteed "100% DR" for 4 seconds. What exactly do you mean by "it will do nothing against RGs"? Even at GR80 RGs are by far my smallest issue, as I can continuously Blind them and they are just sitting ducks during the Blind. Yes, they will come out from Blind and do their attacks, but that's what Iron SkinIron Skin, the dodge with Falling SwordFalling Sword or the Toughness buff of Akarat's ChampionAkarat's Champion is for.

I'm no pro or anything whatsoever, playing only casually so I might not know the underlying mechanics very well. What am I missing here?

Could anyone provide any answer to this?

It boils down to Cord of Sherma's diminished usefulness the higher you climb in GRs. Because it has an internal cooldown, it might not proc when you need it most. And even when it does, the successive applications of hard CC (like Sherma's Blind effect) get diminishing returns, so you'll CC for less and less, while Sacred Harness will provide you with unconditional 40% DR from the Debilitate (even if its own rooting effect also hits dim. returns).

I´ve been running this build and variations of it for a few seasons now. It´s a fun build as hell, but damn the learning curve is really steep for mastering all the CD´s all the time.

I lost my first one this season yesterday due to the boss in gr70 destroying both akkarat and triggering indestructable directly for some reason and then i had no chance to recover after that.

I run 75 normally and was about to start pushing towards 80+. But was at the time speeding 70:s for augment gem upgrades.

What i´m still struggling with (around paragon 600-700) in GR 75+ is that the DPS is there without taking STR-gems and rolling out vit/CDR to crit hit and crit chance. But the reflections i´ve done the past seasons and this current season is that a minimum of 55% CDR is needed without the gogokk to keep it safe. Without the 55% base CDR; the akkarat champion might to easily fall off from permanent uptime and then you´ll be in a hell of a problem as the iron skin and provoke CD´s will be prioritized by the obsidian over the akkarat, and you´l loose the dmg buff, extra life and the dmg reduction on a much longer time span than just a few seconds.

The DPS is still there, without the paper dmg being as high as with crit instead of CDR, it´s just that you need to hit the big packs with every falling sword, no exception, to keep pushing and getting proper timers. Only issue will be the guardians that take a bit longer to kill, but at least keeps you safe.

On my new toon i´m running esoteric and mutilation with gogok as i lost my gogokk, stricken and trapped. In this variance i´m running full crit and i´m still feeling squishy as hell, even though the paper dps is much higher than it was with better gear on my dead toon, and i think the main reason for that is due to not having the 55% base CDR to keep iron skin + akkarat upp almost all the time.

I do know that my gear is not good enough to keep pushing beyond 80, but i was working on that part, until i died and have to somewhat start over for most of the slots :)

Also running Laws of Valor with the unstoppable force rune, pretty much will let you stutter-step the entire rift, without worrying about wrath costs and hitting provoke for regenerations on small packs.

I know there is a difference in SC and HC, but based on the current ladder, but looking at those with the similar gear and grift lvls, it still seems that most are taking crit over CDR.

Not sure if my mechanics are way off or my gear just sucks but i feel that CDR on gear slots is much higher valued than crit. Even though the paper DPS is much lower with CDR, the permanent uptime of akkarat and iron skin is much more valued in when pushing higher grifts in HC.

But still feel that i need to manage my CD´s perfectly with lower CDR and have to all the time hit the correct number of mobs with falling sword, which can be a hassle in lower density rifts.

So, rediscovering the cursader again, and I think this spec is quite fun to run. Have a question regarding the gear/stat prios.

For the shoulders, the description says "A Cooldown Reduction roll is also taken as the fourth primary alongside Strength, Vitality and All Resistance on the Mountain of the LightMountain of the Light, adding to the solid foundation of CDR present in the build. ". This would give the following prio;

  1. Strength
  2. Vitality
  3. All Resistance
  4. Cooldown Reduction

but the detailed stat breakdown in the table that follows, indicates;

  1. Strength
  2. Vitality
  3. Cooldown Reduction
  4. Area Damage
  5. All Resistance

And now you find me sitting with two comparable items with each of the top four stats above. Should I go for the All Resistance or the Area Dmg a the last stat?

Cheers,
/Raz'
PS. I know, I could add a lot of information about my current stats, but it's really the recommended prio from the guide that I'm looking for here...

Just a heads up, this build is going to be incredibly nerfed in the next patch. They are re-working the rune that makes hammers spawn additional hammers on impact due to lag issues and replacing it with a straight up dmg increase which is not even close to the same overall potential.

Thanks for pointing the issue out! I passed it on to Deadset.
The tables should be the up-to-date information in this case, so you should go with the CDR as the third stat priority. I will let you know once Deadset replies and I know for sure.

Personally, I'd drop Vita for % wep damage. If you're really suffering and dying a lot, or playing HC, keep Vita and roll away IAS. But IAS > Vita.

Can someone explain something to me? This build has hammer jammers in Kanai and a belt that supports judgement. However: There is no judgment in this build. I tried a run without hammer jammers and with the witching hour and my Crusader was just as fragile and the damage was the same, because I ended the rift in the same time.

Is judgement passively given someway?

The Sacred Harness Sacred Harness belt is a dedicated legendary for Hammerdin builds, which adds a free Judgment Judgment Debilitate Debilitate effect at the landing location of your Falling Sword Falling Sword — an indispensable effect for the GR variation of the build.

I would assume so, yeah - did you change anything else? Have you tried selecting another weapon in cube and testing it?

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

Starting on January 24 at 5 p.m. PST/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Light’s Calling theme, which first debuted with Season 27. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 33 will officially come to an end on January 19.

Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendor, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. Prove your worth alongside the Shades of the Nephalem and complete the Season 34 Guardian Journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Haedrig’s Gift

Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works.
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival Return to Top

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.

Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.
