Definitely. If you can find an Ancient Yang's that is rolled well, that is your weapon slot sorted. It reduces the resource cost of your Multshot by 40-50% and buffs its damage by a huge amount by increasing the attack speed of it.

Ok, I sure hope I can find an Ancient one.  How good are the stats on the one I did find?  Sorry, I'm not a math or numbers kinda gal so most of this stuff just flies right over my head.

Pretty decent. The most important thing for you to do is enchant the LPK (secondary stat) into max discipline. Then, when you get a Ramaladni, you'll stick that on it as well.

If you find a second Yang's that isn't Ancient and isn't better than your current one, keep it to reforge in the cube.

Ok, I enchanted it into the +10 max discipline, and I played a T1 greater rift just to see what happens.  He easily mowed through T1, so I guess I'll try T2 next.  And looking at your guide, I think I may have found a Dead Man's Legacy in the last day or two but, without realizing what it was, I sold it :(   This is the quiver I've been using.  Is it any good?

Oh sweet....I did a T1 level 12 greater rift, and guess what I found..........

The one above is much better with a Chakram focused build. The Dead Man's Legacy you've found works well. I'd move Hatred Regen into CDR.

Um....Chakram?  and CDR?  Sorry, you totally lost me -lol-
I use Evasive Fire and Elemental Arrow as my left and right mouse skills, along with Companion, Vengeance, Multishot, and Rain of Vengeance.  I was going to say I've noticed a nice damage increase with Yang's Recurve and Dead Man's Legacy, not to mention an almost unlimited supply of Hatred.  So could you kind of give me some info about the Chakram thing?

If you use cinder coat as a Kanai cube power wouldn't it be better to use vault trail of cinders for a constant reduction?

If you want to push your damage and performance slightly more, I'd recommend getting rid of RoV and Elemental Arrow. You want to completely maximize your ability to just spam Multishot, since it will start doing a huge amount more damage.

Chakram is another ability for DH - the first quiver you had was good for a build that focused on that skill. When you got Dead Man's Legacy, it no longer mattered since it is far better.

CDR is cooldown reduction. I was giving recommendations on what to Enchant at the Mystic on your new quiver.

Yes, it will by about 10% of discipline cost per vault - however keep this in mind:

  • You will be squishier by default due to a lack of Visage cubed, instead using Cinder.
  • You can no longer skip any reflect packs unless you run past them, since Vault will kill you due to the Fire rune.
  • These reflect packs are even more likely to kill you when you vault due to the glass cannon-style of Cinder.

Hope this helps.

What should I use instead of RoV and Elemental Arrow?  I don't use RoV a whole lot, but I do use Elemental Arrow almost constantly.  I've noticed that Multishot eats up my Hatred like it's going out of style, so I only use it sparingly.  But EA doesn't use up any Hatred at all (since I got Yang's and Dead Man's).

And I won't worry about Chakram, I guess.
Ah, ok.  I haven't figured out what all the acronyms are yet, so I wasn't sure about CDR.  How do I move Hatred Regeneration into CDR?  I'm going to really need that if I'll be using Multishot a lot.

I'm at work right now so my memory of my characters is kind of iffy, apologies in advance.

Using Convention Of Elements seems as a passive damage boost isn't that easy... if you miss the fire cycle (no mobs in range, fleeing, moving, ...) which is one among 6 available to the DH class... you waste a lot of DPS. And if you decide to use the awesome Taeguk you already have one time/cycle to keep up.

Isn't any other decent dps upgrade to be used in the cube? I currently cubed a Grandeur ring so I can wear 5/6 UE pieces + 1 Magefist (which sports a decent +20% flat fire damage).

I've got Calamity + Cindercoat already. Any better idea for the 3d cube slot?

i have a question i just got  an ancient yangs bow and cant decide what stats to re-roll or where to go next with my build gear/stat wise any tips or advice? heres a link to my dh herman season 9 http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/hermanchoske-1496/hero/76628187

*rubbing my hands in glee* I found the last piece I was needing for the full Unhallowed Essence set tonight!  And even better, I also found a Ramaladni's Gift.  What a night!  I found the Accursed Visage helm simply by spending Blood Shards at Kadala's, and after spending a couple thousand there she finally gave me what I needed.  And I think the Gift came from killing a Greater Rift boss, but I'm not completely sure.

Anyway, I have most of the items recommended in Deadset's build guide, but I don't have the Focus ring, only the Restraint one.  I do, however, have the Endless Walk - Compass Rose and Traveler's Pledge ring and amulet, so I'm using those.  I'm also wearing a (ancient legendary) String of Ears belt, and legendary Steady Strikers bracers.  I must say, I can see a noticeable damage increase by using the whole Unhallowed Essence set.  That Multishot skill is amazing!

I now have a Wraps of Clarity bracer and Hunter's Wrath belt.  All I'm lacking to complete the build is the Focus ring.  I have a Hellfire Amulet but I'm not wearing it; instead I'm still wearing the Compass Rose ring and Traveler's Pledge amulet because I like the set bonus: while moving, damage taken is reduced by up to 50%, and while standing still, damage dealt is increased by up to 100%.

I've been doing T8 group Rifts, Greater Rifts (up to level 45) and Bounties with almost no problem.  I tried a group T10 but that was too much still.

So, if anyone's bothering to read all this, will this build take me all the way through T13?  I don't even know what else there is after that.  I think I've played all the different Infernal Machines - those were fun.  Are there any other events, and will this build get me through everything?

Multishot is one of the most effective builds for Rifts, Bounties and Gold-Farming. (On Torment XIII)

The only negative point are Greater Rifts. It is quite difficult to get above GR 80, there are other builds which will get you higher (with comparable items and Paragonlevel). But since there isn't any difference in playing GR 10 or GR 40 or GR 80 or GR 100 that isn't much of a problem imo. (And here we are at the down-side of Diablo 3 - Diablo 3 doesn't offer any lategame content, since Greater Rifts are all the same, no matter how high.)

And it is is great build to speed run lower Greater Rifts, this will help you to upgrade your gems.

And rest assured, you can farm Torment XIII without any problems. You will one-hit most of the enemies.

Oh man, you got that right.  Multishot just blows me away.  I was using it before I got all the set pieces and it was good, but now with all the gear I have, I can't believe how well it works.

What other builds will get me to higher GRs?  Also, I have the entire Shadow's Mantle set, and four pieces of Natalya's set - the cloak, pants, helm and ring.  Plus bits and pieces of other sets.  Should I use one of those sets if I use a different build?

Yeah, I've noticed I get a LOT of gems in the Greater Rifts.

I haven't played in the last few month and I am not sure about the new items / stats. Legacy of Nightmare / Fan of Knives seems like it could you get higher.

Wizard with Firebird / Archon get you to higher Greater Rifts (approx. +10 tiers)

But with Firebird / Archon your farming on Torment XIII is WAY slower and harder.

And there are the support-builds with Monk / Barb, but I have never played them.

Personally I'd suggest you play for a while with the Multishot build (which I like very much). Get your gear, enhance your ancient items, have fun. Sooner or later you'll see that you won't improve much more. Because most (all) your items are ancient with good stats and your ancient ones are enhanced. And if you like you can try a new char / new build then.

Ok, I tried some GR 60's.  LOL oh boy....not a good idea, as I had a hard time killing anything and instead I was killed several times.  Fortunately I was in a 4pack with one really strong player, so he mostly carried the rest of us.  After that, I left and did a few 50s with one other player and we had no problem.

I'm looking at the requirements for the Legacy of Nightmares/Fan of Knives build.  I have a few of those items but unfortunately, I've seen even more of them and have sold them because I didn't have room.  Dang.  And for the Wizard, I use pieces of several different sets.  I do use the two Chantodo's wands, is that not as good as the Firebird orb or whatever it's called?

Yeah, I'm going to stick with my Multishot DH for a while because I think I like him the best of the three characters I have.  I'd really like to get a better Yang's Recurve though.  A few days ago I saw a player with a Yang's that had a little over 3000 DPS.  Mine's just 2524 DPS.  And only two of my items are Ancient.  Is there a way to reforge or reroll items to become Ancient, or do I just have to wait and find them through sheer luck?

**edit** I take that back.  I already had most of the Legacy of Nightmares/Fan of Knives items in my stash.  All I need are the Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan, a Dawn, and the two rings.  I guess I'll try that when I get tired of the Multishot build, which I can't see happening for a while.

You can recraft an legendary item with Canai's Cube.

The item can become ancient. (Chance 10% iirc.) But be careful, your item may be worse then it was before!

That's why NEVER use the gear you are wearing at the moment. Take a copy of an item that isn't as good as the one you are wearing and use this for crafting.

If you don't have an ancient weapon focus on the weapon. An ancient weapon will give you the most benefit.

And you can get ancient items at Kadaala, using your Bloodshards.

Identifiy your worst item and buy this type with your Bloodshards. Sooner or later you will get an ancient one.

Kadaala is the perfect way to get an item you don't have too: If you don't have an specific helmet e.g. buy only helmets. Rather sooner then later you will get this helmet from Kadaala. Obviously there is a high chance that the stats aren't great. But often the special ability of an item is this good for your build, that even with bad stats it is still way better then the helmet you are wearing at the moment.

Firebird / Archon combines Chantodo + Firebird.

https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/wizard-firebird-archon-build-patch-2-4-3-season-9

And if you play Solo too: Read the guide to your followers! Followers are extremly important. Choose your follower correctly and equip him with the right stuff and you will be able to clear Greater Rifts that you wouldn't be able to do otherwise.

I guess +2 greater Rift tiers are definitly possible.

Oh man, I found another Yang's yesterday but I sold it.  And that's one I really want to bump up to Ancient, just to get better stats.  Oh well, now I know.  Yeah, I wouldn't dare take the chance of using Kanai's Cube to reroll the items I'm currently using - the chance to screw it up is too high.

I do use Kadala on a fairly regular basis, if for no other reason than I have to spend what I have after I reach 850 or I won't be able to pick up any new blood shards.  I've only found one or two items that I really needed, but it's interesting to see what she gives up.

Ok, I only have one or two Firebird pieces, so I guess I'll start looking for those for my Wiz.

And as far as my follower (I use the Enchantress), is the Shard of Hate an acceptable weapon to use?  A few days ago I read something about the Shard of Hate being this fabulous item, and then I found two in the last couple of days. So I was curious if an Enchantress can use it, or if it's really meant for melee characters.

IMO Templar is a must have.

Especially with Multishot.

You need someone who draws the mobs (especially elite mobs like Rift-Guardian) and holds them on one position -> Then you can stay way out of range, hit them without being hit and you profit from your legendary Gem.

https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/follower-skills-and-gearing-patch-2-4

WyrdwardWyrdward + Oculus RingOculus Ring are the best rings (as long as you don't use UnityUnity

Enchanting FavorEnchanting Favor is mandatory

Make sure that the items get as much CDR + Attack Speed as possible just as the Guide describes it.

How much Damage your Follower does or how much Toughness he has is absolutly irrelevant.

I haven't played since the last time I posted, Feb. 22.  I finally found a Focus ring, so now I can use that set plus a Hellfire Amulet I already had.  I can see a big difference with using those pieces over the Compass Rose and Traveler's Pledge I was using.  I'm able to do solo bounties on Torment X pretty easily, and the big monsters with a little trouble.  I did a bounty where I had to kill Adria the spider, and she killed me once, but then I came back and got her.  I wouldn't have been able to do lvl X without Focus and Restraint.  So now I have all the pieces recommended in the guide, I just need to look for better items - especially Yang's Recurve.  I've found several more the last few days but none were as good as the one I already have.

And I haven't started using a Templar follower, I still have my Enchantress.  I'll start a Templar as soon as I find all the items.

      Season 33 (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem. Starting on October 25 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Shades of the Nephalem theme, which first debuted with Season 22. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 32 will officially come to an end on October 20. Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Patch 2.7.8
      Season Theme
The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season. This fourth slot will have the choices of the first 3 slots but will not stack with any of them, providing additional flexibility to your build. Return to Top Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to any who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 33, this means awards originally available from Season 9 are returning to the Season Journey. However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve already participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth in the Trial of Tempests to earn the Stupendous Contraption pet and the Industrial Portrait Frame.
In addition to the Chest and Gloves slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Pandemonium portraits, and the cute and craggily Rocky pet first introduced in Season 9. Return to Top Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five: Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a Level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete 2 Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at Level 70 in under fifteen seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a Level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top Seasonal Conquest
Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 33? Here are the challenges you’ll face: For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at level 70 on Torment X or higher. Also returning for Season 33 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete the entire Diablo III campaign from Act I to Act V at Level 70 in under an hour! Next is Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million Gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. We're also bringing Thrill/Superhuman, which requires completion of a Greater Rift Level 45—solo and without any Set items equipped. And lastly we'll be bringing back Speed Demon/Need for Speed, meaning you'll need to beat a Torment X Nephalem Rift at Level 70 in 2 minutes. Best of luck! Return to Top Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works: Completing Acts II, III, and IV of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely! The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 33: Barbarian - Might of the Earth Crusader - Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter - The Shadow's Mantle Monk - Monkey King's Garb Witch Doctor - Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard - Firebird's Finery Necromancer - Grace of Inarius Return to Top Patch 2.7.8

New Mac Executables/Mac Native Silicon and Intel: These updates will allow Diablo III to run on new versions of the macOS. PC Experience Stability: This PTR is open to both Mac and PC players. While the focal point of the 2.7.8 PTR is to test technical updates for Mac, we want PC users to monitor their playing experience as well. As an interesting side note, the portrait frame you can earn this season is named after Teganze, a zone that was first introduced in Diablo 2 and will be revisited during our journey in the upcoming expansion of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred!

Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 32: Ethereal Memory. Starting on July 12 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Ethereal Memory theme, which first debuted with Season 24. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below.

As the Nephalem reflect on Sanctuary's history, instruments of power from a bygone era resurface. These ethereal memories will grant those persistent enough to search for them unimaginable power. Legends of the past will manifest once more in the present, and you must decide how to best use these gifts—for ethereal power is fugacious by nature, and will soon return to being no more than a myth.
For this seasonal theme, we were inspired to reimagine how Ethereal items could manifest in Diablo III, with 21 iconic weapons making a return from Diablo II. In Season 32, Ethereals are rare, powerful, and fleeting items.
Season 32 reintroduces Ethereals, a weapon-type that players will be able to acquire and hunt for in their upcoming seasonal journey. Ethereals will roll a powerful set of affixes, a random Class Weapon Legendary Power and a random Class Passive Power. Ethereals will have unique icons, names, item types, and sounds originally found in Diablo II. For additional details on Ethereals, check out the list below:
Ethereals are account bound and can only be dropped by monsters, chests, and destructibles, but do not require your character to be Level 70 in order to drop. Ethereals cannot be acquired through Kanai's Cube or from Kadala. Ethereal rarity drop rate is set between Ancient and Primal items. There are 3 unique Ethereals per class. Each Ethereal has fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class Passive Skill. Only one Ethereal can be equipped at a time. Ethereals ignore item durability loss. Legendary Powers and Class Passive Skills rolled on Ethereals do not stack with the same power equipped through Kanai's Cube, Items or Skills. Ethereals cannot be Enchanted, Transmogrified, Dyed, Reforged, or traded. Ethereals can be augmented. Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward players with the Feat of Strength, Ethereal Recollection. Players who accomplish this will have all Ethereal transmogrify options available for future seasonal and non-seasonal play. Ethereals only drop in Seasonal play and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends. Return to Top
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to players who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 32, this means awards originally available from Season 8 are returning to the Season Journey.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Feast your eyes upon the Teganze Warrior Portrait Frame and Bat pet!

In addition to the Boots and Pants slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn a series of portrait frames that smolder with demonic fires of the Burning Hells. The iconic wings of Andariel will also be available once more, allowing you to truly embrace your inner Maiden of Anguish.

      Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey (courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift) have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 32:
Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call Crusader – Seeker of the Light Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
