Thanks for the guides.  The old version of this build required CDR on the Shenlongs, but I see that was changed for IAS.  Why is that?  Is CDR no longer needed?  Trying to sort through a half dozen fists and create some space.  Thanks.

In the Inna Shenlong Variation one has to use the Ring of royal Grandeur which is not mentioned.

The build looks wrong too, unless it in fact does not change at all from the main build?

I am running R6 with full set (head, shoulders, gloves, chest, pants and boots). I use Travellers pledge/Compass rose and Convention of the elements for that huge damage increase when fire cycles. I use the 2 set Shenlong fist weapons.

For active skills I use:

Crippling Wave: Mangle

Breath of Heaven: Infused with the Light

Cyclone Strike: Implosion

Dashing Strike: Blinding Speed

Epiphany: Desert Shroud and finally

Mantra of Salvation: Agility.

For passives I'm currently running

The Guardians Path for extra toughness

Seize the initiative

Alacrity

Harmony

I am at 840 paragon with full + spirit and rest in + dex

I have mostly ancients with à few augments (low 70 augments).

I have around 1 450 000 damage and approx 60 million toughness. My dex is 10933 according to armory..

I clear 70 in like 6-7 minutes bur I cant get pass 74..

Any  ideas?

To me, this build is inferior to the previously published top Generator build.  The old setup using the 50% damage reduction shoulders + Epiphany/Desert Shroud (another 50% damage reduction) provided superior survival.

Thank you for pointing it out - I've pasted the wrong link. The fix has been submitted!

As for the current generator version being much glassier than the old one, it's true. The shift away from CDR comes with dropping Epiphany from the main spec. For better or worse, this glassy high damage version lends itself very well to endgame pushing (high paragons + fishing for a less threatening monster combo in a rift), so it would be misleading not to present it at its (GR105+) best.

I encourage everyone that doesn't enjoy the glassier spec to experiment with Lefebvre's Soliloquy + cubed RoRG combos, and taking Epiphany and Cyclone Strike back into the build. Or branch out into the Inna variation! It's really quite good, and tanky to boot.

Okay... because I feel like I must be missing something... other than the 5% boost from Assimilation, what makes this spec higher damage?

Edit:  Radiance on Dashing Strike, to me, is just diminishing returns for attack speed considering how often Flying Dragon procs.

I've been much enjoying the Inna variant. If I understand correctly, it needs RoRG cubed instead of Convention of Elements? It's not mentioned in the Cube section of that page.

Should I then, if not playing solo, replace Unity by Convention of Elements or Stone of Jordan? Or drop Endless Walk altogether, use both Jordan and CoE, and pick up a Hellfire Amulet?

Also, on the stat priority: Should Maximum Spirit be up there? Since that could be an extra 45+ spirit, i.e. +67.5% to the Shenlong modifier. Less if not running Inna for lack of a Spirit Stone, but still.

Great guide, thanks for taking the time and effort to write it!

Would you mind linking it here as well? The guide hasn't been updated yet.

Thanks as always, the guides are great.

Edit: I see it on there now, gonna give it a shot tonight.

When the guide lists a stat priority as "weapon damage", which particular enchant is it talking about?  Is it talking about the % damage increase, the elemental damage?  The bleed damage?  Appreciate any clarification.  Thanks!

Hello

Ive been trying to get this build (innas variation) to work, i'm only missing the bracers from the guide (spirit guard), most of my set items are ancient, but i still cant survive at TXIII... my damage output is so low it takes several seconds to deal with trash mob even at TXII... am i doing something wrong?

I assume you are using your dash to keep the damage buff up all the time? Do you have decently rolled weapons?

For playstyle - the damage output of the build isn't the greatest, instead you should be grouping up large packs of mobs and then spamming your generator into them, using Heaven to stay alive. Keep Manta up at all times. The Inna's build really isn't the strongest build out there, you need to actually actively try to survive while doing sub-80 runs, simply because it doesn't deal as much damage as other builds.

You can try looking for LPH on weapons for more survivability. That's pretty much the only change that'll help.

Inna variation's damage output should be able to handle TXIII fairly easily, and it is very tanky as well; overall very easy and relaxing play style.  Here is link to my Inna shenlong  :  https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/NeoEpyon-1600/hero/13263002

For damage output, would Unity be better than Exalted Soul?  Inna's mantra allow a flat +20% damage all the time

For gems, Bane of the Stricken seems overkill for low GR;  would Gogok of Swiftness be a better option?  The build could benefit greatly from 15% IAS, 15%CDR and additional dodge chance.  Bane of the Powerful seems better in more situation than Bane of the Stricken too

The build focuses on the idea of mass attack speed to build Stricken stacks, though. It's a really poor choice for lower GRs/speed running compared to others. It was also always constructed as a boss killer rather than trash killer, hence why many have issues with playing it. It's not a good pick for farming T13, for example.

Unfortunately with the high paragon and skill ceiling most people turn from the R6 or Inna's shenlong to U6 or SWK and it's sad to see that R6 hasn't really kept up with the power creep that U6 and SWK are benefiting from. Both seem to have no trouble boosting to GR90+ and I find myself struggling with a modestly geared R6 to break through GR 70.

That said I do have a couple recommendations for people struggling with the playstyle or lower para to get started.

Use Soliloquy for you shoulders plus the spirit guards to mitigate a lot of damage while hunting for gear, the short period of time where CoE procs really only serves in cases where you can reliably strip down elites, champions, and boss tier mobs in the 4 second damage window. RoRG is a good fit in the cube to make up for the lack of the whole R6

If you haven't got unity running with follower and yourself a viable option for keeping shenlong running longer is to use Band of the Rue Chambers, the boosted spirit generation makes it easier to manage shenlong overall but you do suffer significantly without the damage mitigation from unity. You can also choose to cube it and run without soliloquy to keep the R6 bonus while still having decent survival capability.

Please don't be discouraged though. R6 while under performing compared to SWK, U6, and even to a certain extent Inna's builds it's still viable but takes dedication to push the higher GR's.

How come we are aiming to generate spirit as fast as we can to sustain the 200% damage bonus instead of maintaining 50% or more spirit to have 300% or more damage bonus. 200% flat or 100Spirit+ x 2% from first part of Weapons set bonuses. Wouldn't be more benificial to keep spirit lower than 100% but higher than 50%? Or is this just not possible with the Attack Speed and spamming Aura and Cyclone Strike.

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

Cosmetic rewards for the patch are as follows:
Completing the Season 34 Guarian journey grants the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.
Haedrig's Gift will award you with the following sets in Season 34:

Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 34: Light’s Calling. Starting on January 24 at 5 p.m. PST/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Light’s Calling theme, which first debuted with Season 27. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 33 will officially come to an end on January 19.

      Season Theme
Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendor, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.

      Season Cosmetic Rewards
In Season 34, awards originally available from Season 10 are returning. In addition to the Head and Shoulder slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Black Soulstone themed portraits and the scholarly Loremaster pennant first introduced in Season 10.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic ones for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth alongside the Shades of the Nephalem and complete the Season 34 Guardian Journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five:
Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete two Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at level 70 in under 15 seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Seasonal Conquest
Seasonal Conquests are additional goals you can complete as part of our Season Journey. To earn all the cosmetic rewards, you'll need to complete at least three of the Conquests below. The challenges available in Season 34 include:
Sprinter and Speed Racer task you with completing Acts I through V at max level in under one hour. Want to go fast while killing things? Boss Mode and Worlds Apart are right up your alley. On A Good Day and I Can’t Stop are making a return, if leveling your Legendary Gems is more your thing. Finally, if you’re keen to prove your mastery of various Class Sets, Years of War and Dynasty will be returning along with Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets. Best of luck! Return to Top
      Haedrig’s Gift

Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works.
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival Return to Top

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
      Season End (Source)
Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.
