Pike14 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2015 Reading the rotation for sin, it says use mutilate coming out of stealth and my question is why? Does ambush not put out equilavent numbers? Or the bot from garrote (I don't like garrote except pvp to keep classes from stealth just using it as an example). I appreciate any answers
lipsinch 46 Report post Posted September 4, 2015 Mutilate procs Blindside. Having the chance of getting a free Dispatch outweights the usage of Ambush. You should never use Garrote in PvE as Sin.

khaldac 1 Report post Posted September 12, 2015 I have a question along this line. Given the 10% damage boost from Prey on the Weak, doesn't Cheap Shot outweigh Mutilate coming out of stealth? Does this work if you follow it with Marked for Death, Rupture, then Mutilate until 5 cps (and/or Dispatch, if you get a Blindside proc) followed by Envenom? Admittedly, I'm only starting to raid, so most of my experience with my Rogue is questing. Thanks! Jelarr
lipsinch 46 Report post Posted September 12, 2015 Bosses don't get stunned, so it doesn't apply. =)
khaldac 1 Report post Posted September 13, 2015 Ok, so does that mean the 10% damage boost doesn't happen? I wasn't really interested in the stun :)
Carrn 284 Report post Posted September 14, 2015 That's correct the 10% damage boost only applies if the target actually gets stunned. It's totally viable when soloing, but since raid bosses are immune to that sort of thing it doesn't work
khaldac 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2015 Ahhh, thanks, I wasn't aware of that. The tooltip for that ability doesn't really make that clear.
lipsinch 46 Report post Posted September 15, 2015 That talent line is useless in a raid environment, to be sincere. xD
Carrn 284 Report post Posted September 15, 2015 That talent line is useless in a raid environment, to be sincere. xD At a cutting edge progression level, there might be some kind of strategy to stun an add that needs to be bursted down so the rest of your raid can hit it harder. But I don't raid at a world first level, and I've never heard of it happening
