In section 2.2 Playstyle, this guide still mentions bonus bounties in certain acts, although bonus bounty acts were removed a while ago.

Is there any benefit to stacking experience pools just before the end of the season? Say I've got 7 level 70 nonseason characters at 898 paragon and 7 level 70 seasonal characters at paragon 996. Using an end of season paragon calculator says I should be 1108 at the end of the season. Would it be worth it to get 10 stacks on each character to reach a higher paragon than 1108 at season end? Does it work that way?

Not sure what you mean by stacks but paragon levels have nothing with the characters to do so doesn't matter if you have 1 character or more, the paragon levels are all the same based on season and/or non-season.

Your calc seems to be right though, sounds about what I got last season.

Basically, what I'm asking is what happens to the "bonus experience" you gain from experience pools at the end of season. Normally, you can stack up to 10 pools per character. So assume every character has 10 stacks of bonus experience to draw from. Since your seasonal character gains the experience points of your nonseason character and vice-versa, will it wipe out the stacked pools by drawing from that bonus experience as well or are you still left with 10 stacks on all characters, but instead of being based on the old paragon levels (898 NS, 996 S) it will be based on the new paragon level of 1108.

This incorrect however.

The process of paragon transfer after a season is only based on the stopping point of the accumulated amount of experience gained as shown by your paragon levels, there is no bonus pools or anything involved. Are you perhaps on console? There is no such thing as "bonus exp pool" as far as I know on PC.

Example:

End of season
Total exp NS (100) + total exp S (100) will transfer to non-season and now all the non-season exp is 200.
Season and Non-season are completely separated  in terms of paragons until end of season when it is transferred over.

No this a PC question.  "Bonus Exp Pool" = Yellow Pool

Now do you understand what I'm asking? Basically at the end of a season, all your characters are going to be gaining a lot of experience at once. The concept behind what I'm asking is similar to the way you might farm for a yellow pool before closing a greater rift.

So in your example, I'm wondering if both had found 10 yellow pools each so they were maxed out in that regard (100 bonus experience points to pull from).

Would it follow this: NS (100) + S (100) + 25% bonus from S (25) + 25% bonus from NS (25) = 250 total exp with each character having 75 bonus experience points remaining.

OR Will they each have just 200 experience points with a bonus pool of 200 experience points to pull from (Bonus experience based on new "level"). [I'm beginning to think that it will be this based on how those 10 stacks behave when you reach the next paragon level in game with a different char.]

OR Will they each have just 200 experience points with a bonus pool of just 100 experience points to pull from (Bonus experience before end of season).

This is not how it works though. It's not your character that gains paragons. It is your account.

+Exp things does not make any difference when a season ends. Your account adds season paragon levels to your non-season paragons for your account, even if there are no characters or 10 of them.

So-question-do I need to hit lvl 70 to reap the seasonal rewards?  And... what are the rewards again vs. a normal character? I read better transmogrification and separate leaderboards.?

In order to reap the seasonal rewards, you need to complete the seasonal challenges presented to you, also requiring level 70 on your character. As a reward, you get cosmetic items (a banner, transmogs, and portrait frames), separate leaderboards and set legendaries for your character depending on the class you chose.

Just finished Act 2 and did not receive any green pieces.  This is my first toon (a monk started on Mar 1 2019), so maybe I need to already have a toon at 70?  Should I repeat the Belial fight? Thanks in advance and thank you for the guide.

Please be aware of the fact that you should complete the Chapter II (and III and IV) for Haedrig's Gift, not the Acts of the Story Campaing!
To access the Season Journey, use the Shift+J key combination or click the small green leaf icon in the upper right corner of the Game window. If you don't have that, it means you have a non-seasonal hero. To access the Haedrig's Gift, go with a seasonal hero. (Don't be afraid, because at the end of the season, you'll receive your hero as a non-seasonal as well as the things your stash contained.)

You complete seasonal quests and once you retrieve the item (Headrig's Gift) the items become permanent.

So in an example if you start as a Wizard you get 2 pieces of Tal'Rasha in the first reward and you cannot obtain this reward with any other character again but the items themselves can be stored in the stash for another wizard you make.

If you for some reason change along the way, it is possible to example complete the next stage of the seasonal journey with another class and it will become example, next 2 pieces of Helltooth for Witch Doctor but then you cannot go back and get 2 Tal'Rasha pieces there again.

One can also complete the first four chapters of the season journey and receive the Haedrigs Gift caches then put them in your stash for use by another character class.

In 2.6.5 PTR testing I completed the first four season chapters on my Demon Hunter and received my 3 gifts which went into the stash UNOPENED. I then created and levelled a crusader who opened the gifts and received the crusader gear set.

Handy for players who enjoy playing alts but may not enjoy the playstyle of the class set reward for that season.

and you should have the Reduced Level Requirement roll in just a few attempts.

Can anyone else confirm this? The game client does indicate that at that point there are only five available attributes including the RLR, and since you're getting two at a time, you'd think the chances would be excellent.

However my actual experience was that after several dozen rolls, I had not seen RLR once. While looking around for the roll % for each of the options, I saw anecdotal posts claiming the odds of each attribute were not at all even and that the RLR chance may be less than 1/200 even with just those five choices available.

In any event I'm questioning whether it makes sense to pursue this. Maybe I'm just jaded by unusual bad luck on my end.

An important part of rolling RLR is to make sure your stat that you leave on secondary is a crowd control thing (% chance to stun/freeze).

So as you mentioned, if done correctly there should only be roughly 5 options left and it is most definitly possible and perhaps you're looking at some major unlucky moments. I know that I've sometimes had 100+ rolls on a ring just to get my socket... It happens and some seasons I endlessly roll all my mats without getting RLR, it's a chance, not something you should count on getting every time.

Question about point distribution for paragon points,

should i focus fire on one particular stat for each of the tabs, or should i spread them out, as i get them in the order i see them in the guides?

(With exceptions) Max out the one that is the highest priority for your build. This can change for things like Movement Speed, which has a cap and the stat on your boots/certain rings/etc. can impact how much you take.

In section 2.2 it mentions an active bounty bonus, is there still such a thing?

" To maximize leveling efficiency, consider doing the bounties in the Act with an active bounty bonus; the game will automatically start the game in it, and the act will be tagged as such when you open the world map. "

You should fix that.

Cosmetic rewards for the patch are as follows:
Completing the Season 34 Guarian journey grants the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendor, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic ones for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth alongside the Shades of the Nephalem and complete the Season 34 Guardian Journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Haedrig’s Gift

Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works.
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 34:

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
      Season End (Source)
Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.

The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season. This fourth slot will have the choices of the first 3 slots but will not stack with any of them, providing additional flexibility to your build. Return to Top Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to any who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 33, this means awards originally available from Season 9 are returning to the Season Journey. However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve already participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth in the Trial of Tempests to earn the Stupendous Contraption pet and the Industrial Portrait Frame.
In addition to the Chest and Gloves slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Pandemonium portraits, and the cute and craggily Rocky pet first introduced in Season 9. Return to Top Season Journey Rewards

Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 33? Here are the challenges you’ll face: For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at level 70 on Torment X or higher. Also returning for Season 33 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete the entire Diablo III campaign from Act I to Act V at Level 70 in under an hour! Next is Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million Gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. We're also bringing Thrill/Superhuman, which requires completion of a Greater Rift Level 45—solo and without any Set items equipped. And lastly we'll be bringing back Speed Demon/Need for Speed, meaning you'll need to beat a Torment X Nephalem Rift at Level 70 in 2 minutes. Best of luck! Return to Top Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 33: Barbarian - Might of the Earth Crusader - Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter - The Shadow's Mantle Monk - Monkey King's Garb Witch Doctor - Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard - Firebird's Finery Necromancer - Grace of Inarius Return to Top Patch 2.7.8
