Tyllenoll 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2015 Mind Blast (now 4 Shadow Orbs); Mind Spike; Mind Spike; Shadow Word: Pain; Mind Blast (now 5 Shadow Orbs); Vampiric Touch; Devouring Plague (now 2 Shadow Orbs); Insanity for 1 global cooldown Mind Blast (now 3 Shadow Orbs); Insanity for 2 global cooldowns; Devouring Plague (now 0 Shadow Orbs); Mind Blast (now 1 Shadow Orb); Insanity for 3 global cooldowns (chaining mid-channel); Mind Blast (now 2 Shadow Orb); Mind Spike (your DoTs will have expired prior to this cast); Basically where I am confused is where it says use Insanity 1 global cooldown then MB now 3 orbs then Insanity 2 global cool down, How can i use Insanity after MB when DP is the only thing that procs Insanity. Brewmonksta 157 Report post Posted October 5, 2015 I think you are a little confused. You are able to hold 5 orbs at once but to chain 2 DP you need 6 orbs. Essentially you are banking 5 orbs, using DP then use insanity. After 1 gcd of Insanity in the above rotation MB comes off cd and so you use this immediately to gain the 6h orb(now 3 available after the first DP). The DP will still be active so insanity can be channeled for 2 more gcds followed by another DP allowing for a second lot of insanity. tl;dr you are using as much DP/Insanity as possible in that window whilst still using MB on cd. Orthios 271 Report post Posted October 5, 2015 IIRC, after the buffs a few weeks ago, if you're using CoP then you don't DoT weave anymore, you just simply spam mind spike in between mind blasts.
Twintop 45 Report post Posted October 5, 2015 If you have the Heroic Archimonde trinket or higher, don't bother DoT Weaving. If you have a Normal/Normal Warforged version, there's still a slight gain to be had, albeit not nearly as much as before. Without an Archimonde trinket at all, DoT Weaving is still the best sub-CoP-play style for single target.
