Warforged GsR + Socket or 6/6 Sandman?

What is better, a Mythic Warforged 706 Goren Soul Repository with a +75 Mastery socket or a 6/6 715 Sandman's Pouch?

 

Goren Soul Repository has +395 intellect, +75 Mastery

Procs for 10 seconds, approximately 0.92 procs per minute

 

Sandman's Pouch has +351 Intellect

Procs for 20 seconds, 15% chance and 115 second cooldown

 

Both grant 2804 crit on their proc

 

What trinket is better alongside archimonde's tricket, fragment of the dark star?

What is the BiS trinket setup for a heroic raider currently? (not mythic)

GSR has already been just recently hotfixed to not proc before a pull, which means you don't get the "double proc" opening anymore.  It's effectiveness will be further reduced in 6.2.3 since all other trinkets you'd want to use (including Sandman's) are eligible for a +10iLvl valor upgrade, whereas BRF items are not.

 

This has people leaning towards UGoS from Iskar as the best trinket paired with Dark Shadowmoon Insignia - which is the go-to trinket for any Warlock spec.  The class trinket from Archimonde isn't the BiS for Destro except on single target fights where you'd probably consider playing Affliction anyway.  It will, however, be BiS for Affliction.  

 

Mythic WF + Socket GSR will be tough to let go of but it might finally be time to start thinking about it.

Are you saying that I should be running Dark Shadowmoon Insignia for BiS single/multi and the secondary item should be archimonde's class trinket for single and possibly UGoS for multi?

So Dark Shadowmoon Insignia should be in my possession?

Yes, DSI is like as close as you can get to mandatory for all specs and situations.  Your only question should be what to pair with it.

The Pouch is one of those things that looks better in sims than it actually is in gameplay.  It has a long cooldown, and it often won't proc when you want it to.

I get that.  But since this question is Sandman's vs. GSR and Sandman's will increase in value slightly with +10iLvl and GSR will diminish in value slightly (no double proc and no +10iLvl) I don't think it's as clear cut a decision as it once was.  

 

Kurtino has WF+Socket to consider as well so I also don't think it's a "throw away your GSR" like almost everybody else will be doing when 6.2.3 drops.
