Hello. Great information by the way. I very much enjoy the pet build. Is there any way to work Furnace into the cube for the solo pet variation (gogok, IAS on hear, pain enhancer, etc. to replace flying dragon)?

You'll notice a far greater damage loss by using Furnace than FD. IAS is incredibly valuable for the build and the FD proc is completely independent of other bonuses on gear.

  • 5 elements for Monk: Cold, Fire, Holy, Lightning, Physical.
  • 4 seconds per element.
  • Cold, Fire and Physical are the only ones that actually do anything.

The issue is, they come straight after each other. This means that you have a 12 second window, but Cold is in the middle, so you can't just MA in Physical, skip cold and use it in Fire, since Cold does the most damage by far.

Instead, you just want to aim for 30% CDR or so to ensure MA can be used every time the cold window comes up. I think it would honestly be a damage loss to use it in either of the two elemental windows that benefit you. There isn't enough CDR in the game to reach the reduction to enable multiple MAs while still hitting every cold window.

Have full set and items, paragon 600+ and gems 35lvl+

Have eaven few ancient items.

But i can't get through solo lvl 70 grift, please help, what i am doing wrong...

If I get exploding Palm, then all die, but problem is that i can't kill mob to trigger exploding palm.

i wait cold element, use mystyc ally on weakest mob, but i can't kill him to trigger EP.

What is wrong in my build?

I found that clearing anything past GR65 is very rotation and rift dependent. I can pretty much farm 65 with my pet build and clear 70 in 10-12 mins depending on GR luck. I would advise to level your gems closer to 70 too

Yep, you're not wrong - this build does not work very well on grift 70.  I failed grift 70 more than 15x trying to make this build work; it simply does not have enough punch to get through mobs reliably for cold EP to go off or lightning EP.  There are two intermediate options and two long-term options:

1. Switch out Inna Helm and Crudest Boots for Lashing Tail Kick Gyana Na Kashu and Rivera Dancers.  Use Inna Gloves and Bindings of the Lesser Gods.  Cube Scarbringer, Crudest Boots, and Ring of Royal Grandeur.  Your goal is Lashing Tail Kick everything to death and wait for Mystic Ally to be up to drop more LtK and Epiphany Desert Shroud for more spirit.  There's no spirit generator, but you should be able to make 15 mins.  Use Mantra of Salvation Agility, Cyclone Strike 34 yards, Epiphany Desert Shroud, Lashing Tail Kick Physical Damage, Mystic Ally (any rune), anything defensive like Dashing Strike 40% dodge or Blinding Flash %dmg.  I did this in 14 mins even though I died 5x; it's not a very durable build.

2. Inna Set, Raiment 2 piece, and Shenlong 2 piece.  With Unity, your sustain is good with primary attack gem (4% heal), damage gem (25% dmg to bosses/rift guardian), and bane of the trapped (% dmg and movement slow aura).  Use Crippling Wave Mangle, Dashing Strike attack speed, Cyclone Strike 34 yards, Breath of Heaven Infused Light, Epiphany Desert Shroud, and Mantra of Salvation Agility.  http://www.diablofans.com/builds/86388-inna-raiment-dps-generator-season-9.  The only thing that will kill you is standing in fire or arcane.  I did grift 70 in a comfortable 10 mins.

3. Get all ancients and use litany/wailing host.  Not possibly for most players.

4. Go zero dps (zdps) monk and play with people in high rifts.  This won't help you do grift 70 solo, and you really need to gear for survival vs. doing any damage whatsoever.

Has anyone tried the pet version with 2.4.5 or whatever the latest build is? They doubled pet damage. Has it become viable for a push build? Or is it still only in the lvl 80 category?

I've followed the guide to a T. All of my items are ancient, the gems are 70+, and I have one of the items augmented with +260 dex. I cannot for the life of me beat GR 70. If I'm lucky enough to find the best possible pylons I get to the boss with 30 seconds remaining. This build said it did GR 85+. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using the normal version, or the pet version? I'm asking that for myself, because I'm curious if the pet version is usable with the Inna's doubled pet damage.

Now, as to what you are doing wrong: what's your level? I found that these builds are sometimes built for very high level characters. Having 10k dexterity and 20k, or even 30k dexterity is  a big difference. With the latter, you put very little in your defense, because the Dexterity offers a lot on its own. Your survivability is high, and you focus on damage. Some builds also depend on the fact that you kill the pack before it has a decent chance of killing you. If you upset the balance by being slower in killing, it breaks completely. I don't know if this is one of those builds or not, but regardless of that, the achievable level mentioned in the header reflects very high level character. You will never get anywhere close to that if your character is under level 1000.

hi there

i am using the pet build, half of the items are ancient, 3 of them augmented, i run grift 70 on the xbox one with this build, and i am not done with this build. i am talking about getting all the gear to ancient and so on. i am pretty sure it will do at least 80, and thats good enough for me for now :D. all gems at least 65. check the follower guide on this site as well, it does help to gear the follower with the right stuff for him to proc .

Most likely still in the level 80 category, possibly pushing a 90 with perfect gear and a Power Pylon saved for the boss.

Pet build focuses on damage via pets and generator. Higher AS adds to this. Due to using a 2-hander, you have a crazy slow attack speed so you instead use PE to boost this, given that you will be stacking mobs constantly.

Equip a SoJ and cube the CoE. This build isn't particularly group-friendly though, so keep that in mind.

I can't really tell you much since I have no idea how you are actually playing the build. Are you stacking properly? Are you pulling enough? Are you getting bad rifts? Are you timing CoE properly? I need more information to help!

Thanks a lot for your answer! I like the pet version a lot on paper, but if i can't get anywhere close in strength to the Raiments build, then I'm not going to waste resources getting the right gear. It's upsetting that with augmenting it takes such an investment to switch from one build to another.

No problem and sorry for the time it took! :)

This is a big issue in Diablo and it's why they don't make any big balance changes mid-season. Imagine farming a set for a month, augmenting, getting it full ancient with some primals, then they just nerf it into the ground.

Pardon my squirrelly ignorance but a lot of the builds I see on this site don't seem to mesh up with what I'm seeing in-game. For instance, this build calls for Dashing strike to be set as the secondary primary skill (right-click). However, that is not an option as my secondary primary mouse skill (nor will it let me reassign my mouse skills). Dashing Strike shows up as a technique and is assigned as bar skill #2. Another thing, the skill Epiphany doesn't even exist in my game. Am I missing something here? I am on a PC playing D3 RoS Patch 2.5.0 playing a non-seasonal monk. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is an option called Elective Mode for skills, found by going to Options > Gameplay.  This allows you to equip any ability on any action slot (1, 2, 3, 4, LMB, and RMB) so long as it is not mutually exclusive with other skills (think: Monk Mantras, which are explicitly 1 active).

Wanted to let people know that the pet build is very viable in Season 10, at least for the purpose of completing GR70.  With only one ancient piece of equipment (gloves), I was able to clear it in 13 minutes without extraordinary pylon spawns.  Here's a link to the build, and note that the ancient Inna staff came after I finished GR70 the first time.  https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/RTBardic-1932/hero/87410698 

It comes down to getting outrageously large mobs pulled to boost your attack speed, and making sure you hit every cold rotation.

The one change I've made to the build is that I equip Unity (for the +% elite damage) and cube CoE instead (to force a 200% modifier).

As for what ring to use when playing in groups, I disagree with Blainie above -- my Templar runs an Oculus as his second ring, and I've found it quite useful to jumpkick into the oculus ring to fire off a +80% damage MA activation.  As a result, I replace Unity with Oculus in group play so I continue to have that as an option.  It will boost your allies also, assuming they can stand inside the circle without dying.  I'm currently considering replacing all of the jewelry in group play, switching to Focus+Restraint and using a Hellfire Amulet or absorption amulet instead (keeping CoE cubed), but haven't found good enough equipment to justifying trying that out yet.

      The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season.       Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works: Completing Acts II, III, and IV of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!       Shades of Nephalem Theme
      In the latest Diablo III Season, the Shades of Nephalem season theme marks a return. Activating a Shrine or Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class. The clone's power wil scale with your character and last for one minute or until death.

      Fourth Kanai's Cube Slot
      In addition to the season theme, Kanai's Cube will have an additional fourth slot.

      Season 33 Start?
      We expect Season 33 to start in late September/early October 2024.
      PTR Testing
      Patch 2.7.8 will be available for testing for one week. Initially, Blizzard planned to test out the patch from September 17 through September 24, but they ran into some unexpected issues and testing has been delayed. New Mac executables for Silicon and Intel chips will be available in this build, as revealed by Blizzard.

      Complete the Season 33 journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Here are the Conqueror requirements for Diablo III in the upcoming season. This will grant you an additional stash tab (up to a max of 5).

      Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55.       Previous season items make their return this season. If you missed out on rewards originally available in Season 8, you will be able to get them this time. Furthermore, the end of journey rewards (originally introduced in Season 17) are back: The Teganze Warrior portrait frame and the Bat pet!

      As an interesting side note, the portrait frame you can earn this season is named after Teganze, a zone that was first introduced in Diablo 2 and will be revisited during our journey in the upcoming expansion of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred!

      Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 32: Ethereal Memory. Starting on July 12 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Ethereal Memory theme, which first debuted with Season 24. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below.

      Season Theme
      As the Nephalem reflect on Sanctuary's history, instruments of power from a bygone era resurface. These ethereal memories will grant those persistent enough to search for them unimaginable power. Legends of the past will manifest once more in the present, and you must decide how to best use these gifts—for ethereal power is fugacious by nature, and will soon return to being no more than a myth.
      For this seasonal theme, we were inspired to reimagine how Ethereal items could manifest in Diablo III, with 21 iconic weapons making a return from Diablo II. In Season 32, Ethereals are rare, powerful, and fleeting items.
      Season 32 reintroduces Ethereals, a weapon-type that players will be able to acquire and hunt for in their upcoming seasonal journey. Ethereals will roll a powerful set of affixes, a random Class Weapon Legendary Power and a random Class Passive Power. Ethereals will have unique icons, names, item types, and sounds originally found in Diablo II. For additional details on Ethereals, check out the list below:
      Ethereals are account bound and can only be dropped by monsters, chests, and destructibles, but do not require your character to be Level 70 in order to drop. Ethereals cannot be acquired through Kanai's Cube or from Kadala. Ethereal rarity drop rate is set between Ancient and Primal items. There are 3 unique Ethereals per class. Each Ethereal has fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class Passive Skill. Only one Ethereal can be equipped at a time. Ethereals ignore item durability loss. Legendary Powers and Class Passive Skills rolled on Ethereals do not stack with the same power equipped through Kanai's Cube, Items or Skills. Ethereals cannot be Enchanted, Transmogrified, Dyed, Reforged, or traded. Ethereals can be augmented. Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward players with the Feat of Strength, Ethereal Recollection. Players who accomplish this will have all Ethereal transmogrify options available for future seasonal and non-seasonal play.       Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to players who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 32, this means awards originally available from Season 8 are returning to the Season Journey.

      However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Feast your eyes upon the Teganze Warrior Portrait Frame and Bat pet!

      In addition to the Boots and Pants slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn a series of portrait frames that smolder with demonic fires of the Burning Hells. The iconic wings of Andariel will also be available once more, allowing you to truly embrace your inner Maiden of Anguish.

      Season Journey Rewards
      If you’ve been diligently slaying demons for the past few Seasons and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of 5:
      Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within 5 minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete 2 Conquests this Season. Warm Thoughts: Kill Izual at Level 70 in under 15 seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top
      Seasonal Conquest
      Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 32? Here are the challenges you’ll face!
      For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at Level 70 on Torment X or higher. Push your way to Greater Rift Level 75 to complete Divinity/Lionhearted. For the fiercest demon slayers, Boss Mode/Worlds Apart is a speed challenge where you’ll need to eliminate the following bosses at Level 70 and Torment X in under twenty minutes:

      Haedrig’s Gift
      Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey (courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift) have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
      Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
      The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character.
