In the past 2 weeks, Demo has seen the following:

 

Fel Flame +100% mana cost

Void Ray +100% Demonic Fury cost

Hellfire -20%

Immolation Aura -20%

Unerring Vision proc rate -40%

Wild Imps -30%

 

Yeah, they sure do testing on the PTR.  It would be different if it was fine tuning 5-10%...20-30% adjustments are negligent.  If I was off by 20-30% on my work projects, I'd be unemployed.

 

The point here is you just DON'T design a trinket like that, call it an exploit, and then demolish it for a single class because NOW you realize what its potency is.  There are SO many multi-target fights that UVLS Demo was going to be a rockstar.  It's particularly frustrating for me trying to balance a spec-per-fight guide prioritizing two specs.  Sure, some of you will stay Demonology, but you're really holding your guild back.  If you're casual and you just enjoy playing a style, more power to you.  I, for one, cannot continue playing Demonology when Affliction and Destruction provide an ever-increasing margin of power. 

 

Remember, this really hurts a lot of the Affliction style fights using UVLS.  It was pretty popular to spread 100% crit DoTs...that one is out the window, too, but not completely...you'll just see about half the procs you used to.

It might be decent, but how can you compare it to Affliction?  Demo's strength was lots of Dooms making lots of Imps.  We've essentially lost 30% of the throughput for the Imps and about half of the proc rate enabling more Imps.  "Very" good might be overestimating it.

No, Destro/Aff build time.  Stacking Crit before was a poor choice.  UVLS lowered the value of Crit because Crit only did one major thing: proc Imps.  Stacking Crit lowers Demonology's burst windows which is what the spec is designed around.  The sustained DPS portion just got beat down.  If you're staying Demonology, play what you will, but the stat priorities will not change.  Crit is still shit.

this is annoying, this weekend I finally got my UVLS normal and I really like to play demo, like the variables of the class, but well, lets see how it looks, I'm playing on a core a little more hardcore and if I have to change I change, I hope not to destruction at least

Agreed.  I probably should have put some smiley face to convey sarcasm.  I had already went Aff/Destro to try something new this tier.  However, I probably would have gone back to demo later, but the nerfs are rough.  I figured some type of nerf to UVLS would come, however, I think the 30% nerf to the imps was kind of overkill.  If they were concerned about imp damage, it was mainly due to 100% crit dooms summoning lots of imps.

Without a buff to Soul Fire or Shadow Bolt, Demo just got wrecked.  It's multiplicative, too.  Less Imps = less damage = less Demonic Fury = less Metamorphosis uptime.  It just keeps rolling, rolling, rolling...

5.2% uptime is consistent with "pre-hotfix" numbers.  May have been luck.  Interested to hear what you get with protectors.

Yeah but if he's pulling 5.2% on a fight where you probably get the least amount of casts off per minute then he's sitting good.

I don´t know why Blizz nerfs demo so hard, 
A better solution imho would have been: A nerf to the effect of UVLS in that way, that you don´t get for 4 sec always a crit but instead a percentage like 60-70%(maybe also bound on ILVL)
In this way we would have to invest an amount of our stat budget into crit to make Crit-Dooms happen, would not get so easy to higher BP/amounts of Haste and Mastery  and due to the even balance of stats would bring the demo build near to the destro build

5% uptime on both galakras and iron juggernaut, 247k DPS on iron juggernaut without pots or flask... seems pretty solid still. much more in line with other classes

Seriously, i was really hurt when i saw those nerfs but i decided to live with those nerfs, saying to myself a good warlock is still good even if they don't have limb to cast spells...And i tried,it's always proccing at the start and it was procing consistantly....40 % reduced chance to proc does not mean less proc per minute, just less chance to proc it...The only nerf i really see is the imp nerf, which i think is not enough to make us below Destruction. And i still see big numbers with Demonology.
Another point, Warlock(at least Afflction and Demonology) have a big advantage compared to other class in this raid with the multi dotting stuff...But well, all of that is just my Point of View so..

Maybe...it was just an opinion though, because i didn't really feel the change...I could even have 2 to 3 proc,...Maybe it was my luck day...you know, the RNG gods give you their blessing sometimes xD...

I'll probably dump demo for a destro os now, what trinkets should i use for that? got hc wusho/uvsl and tf hc hydra. And how much haste can you allow yourself to have as destro? With affli 9.7k reforge and changing hydra to uvsl as destro im at 8.8k haste and 15k mastery. Gonna try get the shaman trinket as im probably only gonna use destro for cleave fights anyway
