Fel/Wrathstorm snapshot with Perfect Aim. Not sure you can get better procs than 100% crit.

Step 1. Acquire UVLS

Step 2. Apply Doom on PA procs

Step 3. ????

Step 4. Profit.

Great guide as always, Zagam. Much love for all the time and effort you put in to make us all better players!

You might want to mention the benefit of popping into Meta before the second Shadowflame stack is applied (assuming I'm correct that it is actually beneficial).

I started Demo last week after avoiding it like Hell in previous expansions (i never really liked the play stlye of it) and your Guide helped a lot.

I actually start to enjoy the MoP demo slowly, but it needs practice. ^^

Question on heroic horridon, I've downed the boss quite a few times now as demo and I seem to be having better luck on my dps using this strat. I continuously keep Shadowflame from HoG up as much as possible then use hellfire and wrath storm as much as possible to generate loads of fury then nuke adds/boss. Should I be putting out more dooms on adds? I only doom Barney and horridon. So far this has worked for me with 300k ish attempts but it seems from your guide maybe I should be dooming more adds.

Me, too. I'm having a hard time telling Warlocks to go Demonology without the trinket. I do mention in the guide that Demo is held back until they acquire the trinket. Then they become one of the best in the game.

Doesn't get it why Shadow Bolt Glyphed it's mandatory, it wasn't proved that it's irrelevante to RPPM Procs?

As Sifon mentions, Doom anything that will live for one tick. As for keeping Shadowflame up, that's a given. Hellfire to build DF? Not likely the best option here since most of the time, if things are done correctly, Hellfire won't be hitting enough enemies to justify its prioritization over your main rotations. Heroic Horridon is all about killing the right thing at the right time and surviving. If you're pushing to rank and pad meters, do whatever you feel is best based on your comp and strategy.

You should Doom every add which will live for at least 1 tick.

I cover this in the Doom section...I'm hoping this guide was more readable so people didn't ask questions in the guide. I don't know what else to do lol

In 5.1, we weren't dealing with RPPM trinkets or a LMG. Those trinkets had ICDs that triggered on anything. Now our trinkets, LMG, and other procs are based on random proc rates on spell hits. Unless they coded each Shadow Bolt to be 1 real "Shadow Bolt," having 3 hits over 1 is going to increase proc rate while casting Shadow Bolt.

Actually, I think, just think, only one or two mini-bolts count to procs or something like that. Need to test it on "Spine Trinket" or any "on hit stack" trinket.

Come to think of it, maybe the glyph isn't mandatory.

Unerring procs on any hit, so that one would validate it.

Breath procs on any periodic tick. Glyph not valid here.

Cha-Ye's procs on any crit. Glyph would be a gain because each bolt has a chance to crit.

Wush procs on any hit, so this would be validated.

I guess it depends on what trinkets you're running.

But RPPM doesn't scale with how many hits you can hit your target, but your haste * proc chance, no? Because if how many hits per second counts for procs and stuff, multi-targeting would allow u to proc much more RPPM stuff, and this doesn't happen, right? Edited by JvChequer

No, it does. On multi-target fights, putting up DoTs for trinket procs is highly advised. Looking at some logs on Animus where Affliction DoTs everything up, you see Jade Spirit with a 75% uptime and Breath over 50% uptime. Certain things proc on hits while others depend on effects.

Jade Spirit - any hit/heal

Lightweave - any hit

Trinkets above show how each one reacts. Anything that hits an enemy has a chance to proc the RPPM trinkets and other things that work 'on spell hit.'

When Shadow Bolt is glyphed, game takes 3 Shadow Bolts particles as 2 different spell hits. Someone one MMO-Champ proved that with equiping Sartharion 25man trinket and casting Shadow Bolt on dummies. He gets 2 stacks on each Shadow Bolt.

so it's two spell 'hits' instead of 1 or 3? still an increase, just not as significant as you'd believe. world of logs records each shadow bolt hit as one spell.

I'm a lillte confused. I will really appreciate if you spend sometime on replying me, a young demo WL.

In that post, haste is most important. "Once you have your legendary meta-gem and your Throne of Thunder trinkets, you should get as much Haste Rating as you possibly can and forget about Mastery Rating and Critical Strike Rating." You said In terms of Haste and Mastery, keep them close together in value.

About BIS, I'm in a common 10 people team. We just killed leishen 4 times. This is mine http://www.battlenet...隆/孫崇飄雲/advanced By the way I'm from China. I and my team have benefited too much form your post. We're young to be ready for H mode,so we're trying to give everybody their BIS. If one is not my BIS, I wil tell RL to give it to the others . In that post , chaye and leishen are BIS trinkets for demon WL. And you said leishen and hydra.

About gems, in that post they choose Reckless Vermilion Onyx in yellow, I think intellect is first. And I noticed that you choose Fracured Sun's Radiance.Why?

I believe that haste is the best for single target non-movement fights. But it has been decided that with movement and the imp generation mastery starts to gain a lot of power. As far as gem choice for demo you want to hit the doom tick with Everlasting glyph which I believe is 8094. Then go mastery from there. So your gem setup will depend on how easily your haste can hit this mark.

Honestly I'm not sure of why I think more of the mastery for demo is associated with how it affects imps, your minion, and your meta damage. Perhaps the movement part in the forums was before 5.2, I just remember reading it. From what zagam has said the only real reason to go full haste would be for more rppm trinket procs which makes your damage very rng based while having a good amount of mastery makes your damage much more consistent and reliable.
