Mistweaving Chi and Overwriting ReM

Hi! This might seem like a silly question because nobody else seems to have asked this, but I would just like clarification on the following: To generate chi, should I still use Renewing Mist even if everybody already has Renewing Mist on them?

 

It seems like Renewing Mist is always on everyone [particularly raiding in 10-man groups] and when the full raid is taking moderate damage, after my first Uplift I'm not sure if I should overwrite a few ReMs on people to get myself enough Chi for a second Uplift, or maybe just Surging Mist on the tank instead...?

 

It seems like everyone else has figured this out so apologies if this is an obvious question. Thanks in advance!

If you got 4p you could always overwrite a ReM after casting uplift, this way you proc the 4p and renew ReMs so tbh it doesn't really matter, just make sure that your ReM is always below 3 stacks since it is cheap chi generation.

 

If a bunch of them is running out aswell you can always overwrite them, that is what I do to great effect I don't really seem to struggle too much with doing so in mythic.

 

But a good timing to renewing is definitely using 4p spot heal as a means to apply a ReM.

Personally I have over 50% multistrike and the 4 set, so generally, I find myself often overflowing with ReM charges (more than enough to cover the entire raid in ReM) and with the desire to use the 4 set bonus to proc extend life healing after every Uplift, so I overwrite all the time. As long as you're not wasting Chi (and even then, it's forgivable to do so every so often if you for some reason need urgent ReM coverage more than you need Chi), overwriting a ReM that's on one stack is completely fine, as long as you're not wasting a significant duration of Extend Life
