Well... where to start? Im excited about Legion but more like a form of nostalgia, since i really want to see all the old players come back to the game. I've been playing WoW non stop for the last 10 years and i've seen people come and go, mostly online friends, and most of the time i agreed with they reason they left, but my love for the game was greater(?) i think so i kept playing. I've been hardcore raiding , getting decent ranks in US on progression atleast with our guild (10-15 US) and i think that all Mythic raiders can agree right now that what we are most hoping for is for Blizzard dev team to hear us back again, since honestly it felt like they stop hearing our complains (from Mythic raiders) a long time ago.

Well all that and of course the Demon hunter, I hope that with this expansion they get all the people that left back and that we all can play like we used to before Cata.

Of course thanks to Icy Veins for the Oportuniy, since this was the webpage that Helped me increase my skills as a raider when I had some doubts about new classes or specs. Thank you :)

I think that Legion is very interesting.

WoD was, too but it fell off very quick. I hope that Legion won't share the same fate and there are some reasons why I think that Legion will be better.

First of all we have this massive class overhaul.

We have also some new mechanics for Dungeons and challenge Modes.

Also there is so much potential with the Artifact weapons.

As you may see I'm pretty hyped ;). These are also the things I'm looking forward to the most.

I've been watching wow videos and stream for almost a year now, Its always a game i was interested in but never wanted to invest the money in. However since it's my senior year and i'll be out into the world and have a lot of time on my hand i've finally decided that it's time to play WoW and see if the hype is worth it. Since Legion is a brand new out of the bow expansion I think its the perfect time to get in on the fun. So here is to hoping for a key so I don't spend nearly $75 just to find out I don't like WoW

What I look forward to the most in Legion are the brand new animations for melee classes. 12 years of seeing the same old weapon swings was beginning to take its toll on me. What I have personally enjoyed the most in past expansions was the introduction of Heroic and Mythic difficulty raids, and the addition of LFG during The Burning Crusade. I put in many hours during that expansion trying to find groups for Heroic Shadows Labs and Arcatraz on my holy pally.

16593-icy-veins-5-years-anniversary-200-

Grab your chance to win a Legion beta key!

Icy Veins is turning 5 today and we wanted to celebrate it in the best way possible! We're giving all of you the chance to win a key for the upcoming beta of World of Warcraft: Legion!

As 2011 approached, two young gentlemen were sat discussing ideas for a World of Warcraft website. Ideas were passed back and forth, drafts were drawn up and the first edition of the Icy Veins website was released on the 21st of March, 2011. With a total of 3 guides for specialisations, 2 of which were Mage guides, and 1 raid encounter guide, Icy Veins was beginning its long journey.

5 years later and here we are! With a brand new design just released and with more changes planned in the near future, Icy Veins has not only grown, but matured under the watchful eyes of its founders, Damien and Vlad. With their tireless work ethic and their dedication to the site, we've seen Icy Veins expand from a small World of Warcraft guide-hub into a Blizzard-wide gaming community.

I feel like the word community is worth focusing on, since that's the general theme of today's post. With a growing membership on the forums and an increasing viewer-base on our news posts, Icy Veins has grown into a family. Without the users that visit the site each day, Icy Veins could never have become what it is today. Readers allow our team to do what we love: creating content for all of you.

For everything that you have done for us, we thought today would be a perfect day to do something for you.

Legion Beta Key Giveaway

As many of you know, World of Warcraft is releasing its new expansion this year: Legion. The expansion is overhauling a huge number of aspects within the game, as well as introducing a number of new parts into the game.

Many of you won't have been able to experience all of the new content that is being released, so we wanted to help. With the aid of Blizzard, we're giving away 200 keys to the upcoming beta; 100 of the keys will be given out this week, 100 in another giveaway next week. It's a pretty simple giveaway, you'll just need to post an appropriate comment on this post before the 29th of March to enter!

So what is an appropriate comment? We love hearing back from our readers and we love discussions, so why not mix the two and put together a giveaway! We want to know all about your opinions on Legion, as well as WoW itself. Let us know in the comments what you're most looking forward to, as well as your fondest memories in Warcraft history! Whether it's a guild moment, a personal moment or a moment in the game's story itself, we want to hear it.

Rules

As with all of our giveaways, there are some rules:

  1. Every comment must be relevant to this article, giving examples of what you look forward to in Legion and what you enjoyed in the past.
  2. The first giveaway will end on the 29th of March at 23:59 GMT.
  3. Only one comment will be counted per person.
  4. Comments on the linked articles will also be included in the draw if they are relevant to the topics.
  5. Commenting on multiple topics will not increase your chances of winning.
  6. The winner will be drawn randomly from all the comments that are deemed "acceptable".
  7. It is at our discretion which comments will be deemed acceptable, based on the extent to which they stay relevant to this article.
  8. We will not release the dates on which the keys will be released, as Blizzard have requested us not to do so.
  9. We do not know when the Beta will start, so please do not analyse our article hoping to find that. It's not there.
  10. The comments section will be checked via a bot used in previous giveaways, so multiple comments will be found.
  11. We have tools to detect cheating, so please don't bother.
  12. We reserve the right to stop anyone competing if we believe they are cheating.

Legion Information

If you're struggling for inspiration or you haven't been able to explore some of the information being released from the Alpha, we've made sure to give you a few pointers below:

Players will be equipped with the mightiest weapons of Azeroth, the artifact weapons, each tied to our classes with a unique link in lore. If you're looking to find some additional information on the lore behind your weapons, as well as some of the alternatives, you can always check out the artifact series we featured!

If the artifacts aren't quite tantalising enough, there's always the swathe of new dungeons being introduced with the expansion, such as the Arcway.

Still not excited? You must be a PvPer then! Worry not, there's a sparkling new prestige system being introduced, as well as a number of changes to the way PvP will work from now on.

Still? You're a tough one to please. Maybe you prefer a more pacifist route through Azeroth? You'll be able to enjoy more costumes and outfits than ever before with the new transmogrification and wardrobe systems

You can also check out the interviews I had with Venruki, Treckie and Tegu in our "Will Legion Save WoW?" article. You'll get perspectives on changes from some of the best players in the world in both PvP and PvE!

Before you enter, make sure that your computer is up to scratch for the Legion client by checking the system requirements.

While I'm not entering, I'll never miss out on a chance to take part in the fun! Personally, my favourite part in Legion so far and what I am looking forward to most is the lore surrounding certain characters. I don't want to put spoilers into this post, but you can check out the fate of some of them in our spoilers posts (Part 2). As a favourite moment of WoW, it would have to be the moment I first saw C'thun. The constant taunting as you approach, his appearance, it was just amazing. That for me is the peak of nostalgic feeling towards this game.

That's it from me. Good luck to you all and I can't wait to read your replies!

I'm excited to continue the lore behind gul'dan and experience all the new features including weapons talent choices. For the Horde.

I really loved the iconic feel of the DK when first started playing WoW. It looks like Legion will have a similar feeling. A lot of the alpha content I've seen is looking good.

The thing i'm looking forward the most is the pvp honour system, i don't do bgs very often because i'm always and don't find it very fun. But with the new system it gives you a reason to play with mounts and rewards which i find most exciting. The thing i liked the most previously would be arena in burning crusade for sure

I am extremely excited for legion. The majority of my time in wow has been spent pvp'ing and I can't wait to try the new prestige and honor systems. I also would like to try to pve with the same toon and see how much different it is.

Allright so, iv'e been playing World of warcraft allmost since day one. And so far legion seems like the most promising expansion yet. I love that theire adding artifact weapons. Ive tried the alpha on my friends account, but im not able to play with him. Since i dont have this myself. I noticed that lvling up became pretty much amazing when we dident have to worry about doing to little damage. Since we had the artifact weapon. So this will probably help alot alot alot of people. Which makes me think, what else will they add to this topic? Well i would love to explore everything about the game before playing it myself in ^live^ and if i would get this key. I will be able too. Really looking forward to this! My friend has a beta key allready.

WoW has been with me through marriage, divorce, multiple relationships, and general ups and downs in life (college, jobs, moving). My favorite expansion so far has been Wrath. I loved doing raids with friends and loved ones.

I'm really looking forward to the artifacts and class changes in Legion.

I am really looking forward to the new PvP honor system in Legion. Also, very excited to see who the Legion end boss is going to be! I would have to say one of my past favorite memories of WoW would have to be my first ever raid, Ulduar. I did not know what to expect, but stepping into a raid where the first thing you would do is enter vehicles and start shooting down so many different things was such a rush of adrenaline and a great way to get started into the WoW endgame. Especially when I was a blood deathknight wearing leather. My, how times have changed and we all have become much smarter. Looking forward to Legion and creating new memories!

Really looking forward to the transmog change. I've got a full bank, full void storage, plus most of my inventory. I'd like to get back to running the old raids again, since now I can't because I have about 2 or 3 free slots left in my bags.

I'm pretty psyched for Legion. The artifact weapons sound like they are going to bring much more flexibility to the classes and specs which will be great. I main a Marksman hunter so I'm really looking forward to see how Alleria figures in to my artifact weapon. And then there is the updated transmogrify system. I'm really looking forward to empty bags again. :)

I honestly am really enjoying the different play styles of all of the classes thus far. As a person who's leveled every class to max for this current expansion, seeing a change in resources for some classes is a nice breath of fresh air.

While there still hasn't been much shown in terms of raid testing, what has been seen alone is interesting, in terms of mechanics, even if they haven't been fully flesh out yet.

The dungeons are also really neat so far, especially Maw of Souls.

There's just so much I can say, but so little I can at the same time.

I usually don't read up on new expansions that come out. Love the thrill of learning as I play. I have heard some really good things about Legion though and I am as always excited to start playing. I didn't even read your whole post for fear of learning too much lol.

I am so exited for legion and I am really hyped. I am looking forward to the new pvp system and the artifact weapon. I have enjoyed playing Wrath of the lich king in the past and I am hyped as I think legion will be on the same level or higher. Also can't wait to see what will happen to illidan.

I'm highly interested in the story arc involving Slyvanas and Helya. From the sounds of the spoilers it could be possible that Slyvanas is looking for another method of reproduction for the Forsaken. I'm even more curious, sspecially since we see Helya as a boss, I want to know the story/interaction they had between the two that lead to this. It gets me rather excited.

What I enjoyed in the past?

I'm a wraith baby, and the dungeons always gave me the most fun. It got even more delightful when Cata got employed (I found the love of hardcore dungeons through Cata). I quit partway through Cata since I had schooling to attend to. Now that I'm out and working at a job I was hoping WoD would give me more then it did. With the keystones and dungeons possibly giving sweet loot for insane difficulty. I'm all pumped up!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
