Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to the artifact weapons, could be a pretty neat way to progress. Although I might focus more on pvp this expansion a first for me. The system for that looks cool.

Warlords of Draenor was an up and down ride, there were some cool things and some not so cool things, hopefully Legion expands on the cool stuff while cutting some of the bore. I'm a little surprised I still play the game, but it does offer content when I need it.

One of the thing's I think I've had the most fun with in the past was the current challenge mode system. I'm excited to see where they take it and how mandatory it will be.

The artifacts seem like a really cool idea and I'm keen for all the lore that legion will bring.

Looking forward to alot of things in Legion but the new transmog system the most.

Have loved transmog since it was first implemented and the new Wardrobe UI looks amazing, not having to store gear in your bank is a huge improvement over the current system.

I'm looking forward to try Mage in legion out since it were a letdown for me in BRF since on most things you had to play Arcane(which i hate at the moment). I really enjoy Fire and Frost so I'm hoping blizz is making it worth to use any spec on almost any fight.

And if that fails, I might try Feral out since it seems to get a buff to things I like about WoD Feral. And a buff the things I found it to be lacking. And in general just trying out all the different artifact quest lines.

I'm super excited that they are bringing back the old talent system in terms of Artifact, and just the Artifact system in general. Can't wait to fiddle around and see what interesting builds I can come up with.

Also, most memorable moment would have to be the moment I down my first Mythic raid, which happened to be Mythic HFC. I was never hardcore into raiding and gave it a try for this tier and I had tons of fun. Can't wait to take a crack at the challenges waiting my guild and I in legion.

What I am looking forward to the most, is probably to return of Dalaran. Seeing one of my favorite afk spots reworked and redone is pretty exciting. I'm also looking forward to the new spell animations, some of them look really cool.

One of my most favorite moments was probably during SoO when we finally killed Blackfuse on heroic, that feel that you get when you finally kill a boss after so many wipes.

MAIEV! I've waited since Burning Crusade to see what's become of her. She is my favourite character in the Warcraft Universe. I was so excited when Cataclysm rolled around and we got to rescue her brother in Twilight Highlands but... no Maiev! When it was first revealed Legion would involve Illidan in some way, I just KNEW we'd finally have a comeback from Maiev. I've been spamming up the Warcraft dev twitter pages for so long now, they'll be pleased to know it will finally stop. >_<

I'm struggling to keep myself in WoD. My raid team finished HFC a LONG time ago on Heroic and we just don't have the numbers for Mythic. I love story-driven expansions which is why I was excited at the prospect of WoD's initial narrative but it was a bit of a letdown. I'm hoping they've learnt and Legion's story is going to blow us away!

I have loved WoW since I started playing.  Once I got into the novels, it was so exciting when you came across a story line that you recently read in one of the books.  I'm excited for Legion as it is yet another chapter.  I can't wait to be able to experience the legendary weapon quest lines, the class halls and well........pretty much everything else that I've seen previews of thus far!!!

Super excited for Legion! I am mainly a PvPer so naturally I'm most looking forward to the new honour and prestige system. I really like the idea of rewards for prestige level, it will give me something extra to farm in downtime between being capped / pushing arena rating.

I main a frost DK right now so my artifacts being REFORGED FROSTMOURNE is also really cool, and as a massive lore nerd that appeals to me a lot. I have fond memories of playing WotLK and killing Arthas for the first time, so it'll be a lot of fun to use the shards of frostmourne myself.

I look forward to playing/maining a Demon Hunter in Legion the most, as well as enjoying the lore of each zone and artifacts and finally getting to kill Gul'dan

I'm really looking forward to the artifact chain and the new 5 mans.  As well as trying out demon hunter - getting a jump "proc" on my belf/nelf characters is awesome so I can only imagine the awesomeness of a double jump proc.

I've played wow since TBC, even met my (now) husband playing WoW and thing legion has the potential to be one of the best expansions yet.

I cannot wait to play legion , I spend most days playing wow with my very sick sister it's been a real help in keeping my mind off all the stuff going on ( fuck you cancer) and it's something we've enjoyed doing for years , I missed 5 months of WoD due to being shipped away from home to help my sister with the chemo treatment ,I feel way behind on stuff and the legion just looks amazing cannot wait to start playing a new fresh toon and new lore . Never been a big raider but this year I'm determined to get into it and if my sister needs more treatment I'm taking my bloody laptop this time !

I am looking forward to the changes to Windwalker Monk. I really loved the Monk class when it first released and although it was frustrating having a different mastery every tier during MoP, I felt it was in a really nice place during SoO and Windwalkers felt really great. With the addition of multistrike and other changes in WoD I felt it lost a lot of this feeling. Now with Legion, from what I've read and seen about the changes to Windwalker I'm extremely excited with the direction they are going with it. This is one of the main things I'm looking forward to with Legion, however there is many other things I'm looking forward to aswell. The broken isles is so far looking beautiful and is giving me the same vibes I got from the MoP zones, which are some of my favourite zones in the game. The new PvP honor system has me excited to be pvping more and the setting for the raids is sounding very promising. The artifact system is interesting and will be the fun working through all the unlocks for it (although I'm an altoholic so there is going to be a lot to try keep on top of!).

On top of all this, I'm really hoping Legion brings WoW back to being my main MMO. With WoD being such a low point for me, I put other MMOs first. I'm really hoping it is not just hype but I'm getting the feelings I had for MoP again for Legion and MoP was the best times I ever had with WoW.

I know this may be a rather unorthodox view, but I absolutely adore the way the story will be shaped around us, the players, during the leveling experience. I can see an awesome narrative shaping up, with your arifact's story giving each spec its own touch. Apart from that, a lot of classes seem to be changed and simplified in a manner that makes me want to play them without too much of a hassle!

In my personal WoW history I've done several things I particularly enjoyed. Raiding, questing, a tiny amount of arenas (double blood DK is still a lot of fun, haha). I've met a lot of friends over the years and I think that's also one of the great appeals of WoW for me.

I am hyped like most people in WoW community. I just really hope Blizzard will put together something as good as the past games and expansion. Every sign of trying going back to the roots of WoW and MMORPGs is a plus for me. The class fantasy bring back again things I was feeling back in the days. The Aritfacts are something I am looking forward, where you really take care about what u wear and use in game :).

I like how they're improving things like collecting, the wardrobe sounds cool. I hated garrisons being so important for professions, and am looking forward to leveling them as we used to.

WTLK has been my fondest time raiding, if they can bring back that feeling it'll be amazing. I had loads of characters geared and raiding ICC.

I am really excited to get a chance to try the new pvp system, The honor system we have now doesn't make sense to distinguish experienced player and the new players.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
