Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Legion is going to be awesome. I can't wait to see what changes are actually implemented in game. I try not to read into them too much, I love the surprise. However I have looked into the transmog system a bit and I am very excited to empty my bags and banks for a change.

I'm mostly looking forward to the new questing areas and the new class. Maybe a little bit to the end-content too. But I'm not big into raiding anymore, so we'll see.

I'm really looking forward to the increased amount of solo content present in Legion. Always having something to do when logging in in order to progress my characters is going to be really awesome.

I'm looking forward to check the class changes, the class protagonism they're giving to each class, artifact weapons and OFC DH!

I'm sure Legion will put WoW on TOP!

Having a wardrobe will be great in Legion especially for Xmog. Blizzard are taking note of other games and modifying it for WoW. Less bank space taken up by gear you want to keep for Xmog. I like the lore of the game and how it develop through it expansion. The dungeons, raids,  pvp spaces and quests exist because there is lore behind it. You may not read it or all of it, but that's why it's there.

I am looking forward to the story of Azeroth moving forward, especially now that Illidan is back in the mix.  I can't wait to read your guides on my new Demon Hunter main.  I've been waiting 12 years to play one!

Personally I am really excited to try out all the specs. If I get into the beta I will be streaming and recording all the classes and the artifact quests.

As a balance druid main I am incredibly excited the way the spec is headed.

Legion is probably the best add-on since Wrath of the Lich King. I can't wait to see the invasion of the Burning Legion (maybe we can finally see Sargeras?).

I always enjoyed PvP in WoW, especially in TBC and WotLK. I hope that Legion can make PvP more balanced with the new stats and item system.

Heeey Icy Veins! :D

I started playing WoW since WOTLK, and since then I really enjoyed playing World Of Warcraft. Right now I raid and pvp alot, currently 7/13 Mythic in Hellfire Citadel.
I really miss more content to the game, and can't wait for Legion to be out!
What I really look forward in Legion is the lore, dungeons, and of course raids!
The new PVP system is very interresting to me aswell, and will make me do more than usual pvp, but I will always remain a PVE fanboy, there is nothing in WoW that satisfiy me more in WoW than killing the boss you've been trying to hard to kill!
Can't wait for Legion! Keep up your good work and thanks for providing me with so much knowledge, especially to my classes.
Regards, Scryfire

I'm really looking forward to playing a Demon Hunter, the flavor of the class has intrigued me since WC3.  The pvp overhaul is also pretty interesting, even though I'm not much of a pvper.  That being said, I'm most interested in seeing how they're going to handle the story.  Illidan is one of the best characters lore-wise.  There's got to be some kind of interaction with him, Tyrande, and Malfurion and I can't wait to see it!

Not going to lie, I'm probably most excited about testing out Rogue. Considering it's one of my favorite classes in the game, I can't wait to see how the new changes feel for myself. The new X-Mog system is also something I've been wanting to take a gander at. In reality, I think Legion looks amazing all around so getting the chance to to do some beta testing would be amazing.

I'm looking forward to the Demon Hunters the most, ever since I played as Illidan in Warcraft 3 I wanted to play one in WoW and seeing them in-game during The Burning Crusade gave me hope that they will be added as a playable class some day and that they aren't forgotten, happy to see that I was not wrong. Even though there are a few things in the current WoW that I really dislike and disagree with the developers on, to the point where I went on my first ever (short) break from WoW, the introduction of the Demon Hunter class and the return of Illidan, among other features that are more than welcome (Wardrobe & Artifacts), has restored my faith in their decisions and the future of the game. I have not been this excited for a new expansion since Wrath of the Lich King, which is to this day my most favorite expansion. With Legion coming up, however, I can't help but feel like the top spot will change very soon. I'd have to say my fondest memory of WoW would be the Night Elf -> Stormwind run in Classic WoW. I've had many great moments with my guildies over the years, and met people that I'll most likely never forget, but the feeling of a long and rewarding adventure such as that is just an unforgettable experience and no other game or activity has ever managed to capture that same feeling of being in this huge and dangerous world. Absolutely cannot wait for Legion to launch and getting to test it out and help Blizzard create something amazing would be an honor. Good luck to everyone! :)

Can't wait to step out of the shadow of our heroes and become the legend that everyone talks about, wielding our artifact, and take the fight to Sargeras!

In the past I've been a heavy raider, heavily into pvp at times and an achievement/item collector all along.

It's looking like in legion I'm going to have to cut back a little, so I'm really interested in what there's going to be as an aside to the heavy stuff, how the game looks like it's going to be when approached in a more casual fashion than what I'm used to.

As well as dipping my toe in the different avenues I already mentioned I want to see how the scaling is on the older content, it may sound weird but I enjoy doing old raids and I'm itching to test the limits of what's possible at the new cap.

And thanks!

I'm most excited for the graphical updates to combat. I was watching Towelliee stream the alpha, and it looks like a new game. A fresh coat of paint can really liven up a room, even if said room is going on 12 years old.

The most exciting implementations in Legion for me would have to be the artifact system and the wardrobe. Obtaining the legendary weapons, learning about the lore behind them, and working to unlock their traits sounds like a blast. Having the ability to transmog and have those items stored in a much more convenient, user-friendly way will really compel me to continue farming sets I otherwise would have given up on.

The fondest memories for me in this game all revolve around the friends I've made, and the experiences we've shared. Questing and raiding with people I would have never met otherwise is an experience I wouldn't trade for anything. Here's to the future of Icy Veins and the future of WoW. Can't wait for Legion!

Been along time wow player, good old vanilla beta and those rogue's with shields ><. Out of all the years your guys site has been the best one yet and an avid user of you guides!!

What I look forward to in Legion is the story, always have been a fan of the story of the game.  Artifacts seem OP but gonna be great, class halls from what I've seen are going to be beautiful.  Also I love love love what they're doing with some of the classes, makes me what to play all over again!

Congratz on the 5 year anniversary guys!!!!

I am most excited about the PVP system being introduce in Legion. It will give me more reason to play BGs and PVP even after I get my gear.

The things that I am worried are pretty much summed up in this post. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/20742944716?page=1 It worries me that people are going to lose interests due to classes not being much unique from one an other.

My best memory of WoW would have to be being Alliance and going into Under City elevators with a buddy of mine and us 2v5+ horde in there for a few hours.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
