Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Hey there.

Im really excited about legion, so much hype. The first thing that i want to test is the new profession system. Im so curious to know how it works. Also, the class changes, class hall order, demon hunter (ofc), new trasmo system, the artifacts and... THE NEW PVP SYSTEM. Mostly, the new pvp system! I started to play back to BC as PvP Player. WoD isnt my favorite expansion at all, so i hope that Legion will be THE REBORN of World of Warcraft.

I've always been a huge fan of the warlock. My spec of choice is and always be Affliction! I've played a warlock before naxx came out but never raided in classic only got to 40. but the one thing i will NEVER forget is the quest to do my warlock mount quest. I WISH THEY WOULD BRING THAT STUFF BACK!!!!

I'm really looking forward to trying out the new artifact weapons/trees & seeing all the new areas/animations.

Also looking forward to some more balanced PvP, some of my fondest early memories of WoW involve PvP!

I'm looking forward to everything, especially since my friends and I have finally found a guild with pretty cool people in. Since the beginning of Warlords of Draenor, we tried either building up  guilds, or joining some. It was a long journey, but we've made it.

Warlords was a good expansion, raiding and leveling wise for me. The raids were very well done, and a lot of fun to progress on (with the right people), with some exceptions... (looking at you, hellfire assault).

Thanks to Warlords I've found my main class, the Monk. Plus, I played around in many aspects of the game, farming transmogs/pets/mounts, pvp-ing

In Legion, I hope to go nuts in dungeons, both normal/heroic and the new challenge modes... I'm very excited for those.

Raids, of course cant wait to see that in stuff in person. Artifact weapons look interesting.

I'd love to go through every spec, spell and ability on my main class, my other specs, every other class/spec and everything that's available and give feedback, if I'd get into the beta.

I can't wait for the return of the survival hunter style I liked from classic wow.  I'm leveling a hunter right now, can't wait for the expansion.

I am looking forward to the changes in pvp, I have always been a raider and it has been difficult to balance the two. Previously I wouldn't be able to keep up with gear and fall behind fairly quickly. With the changes to PvP I will be able to enjoy both PvP and PvE. My fondest moment of World of Warcraft was probably the Death Wing kill in the Dragon Soul raid. I very much enjoyed raiding in Cata I thought they did a very nice job.

Feeling nostalgic to start again fresh on a new Expansion. Been an avid player for around 9 years and has loved every minute of WoW. I want to jump in and check out all the new talents. I am looking forward to the new Guardian druid re- colors and all of the Artifact skins for the Druid class. It looks like it is going to be an amazing Expansion. Let's hope so. Lok'tar Ogar!

I'm looking forward to the most in Legion is definitely the spec specific artifacts (and customization of it), as well as the new way the challenge modes of the different lvls of difficulties of 5 mans will be in the xpac.  I've always enjoyed really difficult 5 man dungeons because its a small nit of people that need to get close and everyone must pull their own wait and coordinate as a team and the smaller the group the more you can get to know about each player and the bonding social aspect of it.

My most fondest memory of WoW was definitely being the class mechanics officer in a semi hardcore raiding guild for BC and beginning of WotLK when i was 14-16 years old! I got to learn a lot of extremely useful social and managing skills and learned a lot about teamwork and more of the social and emotional part of being a team which let me practice really useful skills at a young age that helped me a lot in life even today! As well as downing BT/Hyjal/Sunwell before the patch and 3D sarth and naxx so playing at a mild lvl and nothing was sweeter than that feeling of the first kill of a last boss in a raid back then!! :)

The thing I'm probably looking forward to most is the adventure mode style outdoor questing. If done right, it has a nice chance of telling a story like the MoP dailies did, without being as grindy as they were back then - only problem it could have is, that they're doing it Legion style, where you just have those arbitrarily placed quests.

If I got a beta key, I would go around the world and try and exploit my way into areas that shouldn't be accessed by using "Clever use of game mechanics". I would test this so I can report any mishaps to Blizzard and they fix it before it is abused live. I will also test out my favorite class, the warrior, to see what works well with the class and what doesn't.

Gosh, there's so much I'm looking forward to! For starters, I'm building an actual gaming PC (first ever), so I can't wait to finally play (and see) WoW in all its non-potato glory. The new view distance will be amazing.

As for Legion itself, the artifact quest lines, new zones, all the new lore, and figuring out if I want to keep my main or change it up for Legion. Never mind the new raids -- Emerald Nightmare, Suramar, wot?? OH and the new transmog system. And new mounts. And dragons; there's more freakin' dragons! OK, lemme stop now :D

I think my favorite moment thus far was probably the first time I saw Ulduar. I just started playing WoW when WoD dropped, so I had no idea what the old raids looked like for quite a while. But when I finally went to Ulduar, it stirred a wonder in me like a kid at Disney World. It's just a mind-blowing, fantastic instance all around IMO in terms of scale, design, and lore.

Thank you, Icy Veins, for providing my go-to first point of reference for class guides and info. Happy 5th, and thank you for giving us a chance to get into beta yaaaayy!!!!

I absolutely love the new pvp idea for instead of working for gear we are working to more cosmetic items such as mounts or more skins! Feral Druid makes me want to work even that much harder even though it's not a hard class it takes skill to get the smaller intricacies of the spec.

Before Legion was announced, me and a buddy were hoping the next xpac would have something just like artifact weapons, and that dream has come to life.  Can't wait for them!

I love what you guys have done with the site you've come a long way since its inception.  I'm glad to be a part of the WOW community. I am looking forward to the new demon hunter class in legion and the bringing back of old content and revamping it. I think the fondest memory I have was getting server first working as a team achievement in both expansions as well as me getting server first blacksmithing in both as well.

Keep up the good work Ive met some really great friends and hope to meet more in legion.

The thing I would have to be most excited about in legion, even as a raider, would have to be the story. The small things I have seen of the Shaman class story stuff has made me super excited. I have been for a long time now a huge fan of the wow lore and they are doing some cool stuff in legion that I can't wait to see.

I also love the class changes. They are doing some really cool stuff with the classes and especially with my main spec enhancement shaman, basically completely revamping it and I love the way it looks.

My favorite memory would have to be when I started raiding. I joined wow later than some, not actually starting to play untill late WotLK, so I didn't start raiding untill cata, Firelands specifically. Those were great times, I met a lot of great people and learned to really love raiding, something that I have pursued since then.

I'm looking forward to all of the Monk and Warlock changes, but I'm really wondering how the Challenge Mode scaling is going to work and that has me excited!

One of my best memories of WoW was back in Burning Crusade. It was most of the expansion to be honest. I was new to raiding and loved every minute of it. I also found a guild that somehow put up with my shenanigans. I might have disliked it at the time, but we were all pretty close and really enjoyed doing stuff outside of raids. It's really difficult to find a group to do that type of stuff with now-a-days.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
