Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I am extremely excited for Legion, because of multiple reasons.

I am looking forward to seeing how Survival Hunters play out, how Demonology Warlocks pan out (my 2nd baby), wielding the Ashbringer (my 1st baby), and also the new PvP system. Of course, there is the lore as well. The artifact stories should be great!!

My fondest moment from WoW was back in Vanilla, during either beta, or shortly after release. When you would loot and be stuck kneeling for 10-20 minutes at a time. I was playing an Orc and bunch of us players were doing "Knee Racing" from the starting area to Razor Hill. If we finally stood up, you would kill a boar, just to loot and get stuck again. It is the moment I fell in love with a MMO community.

I'm really excited about the new transmog system. I need to read up more about how it is going to work. I'm also interested in the class halls. I like my garrison, but I miss running into people in communal gathering places like the Shrine in Pandaria. And I'm definitely interested in the lore. I need to figure out which books to read to enrich the gaming experience!

I'm most looking forward to all of the class changes and the addition of demon hunters, which I might start to main.

My fondest memory would be finally killing Heroic Siegecrafter Blackfuse on 10 man after around 500 wipes on the final night we were going to be attempting it before switching to doing reclears to trial new raiders for Warlords.

I am looking forward to all the new Druid forms. They are awesome! New pets, mounts and outfits!I can't wait for Legion to come out. Being disabled, Warcraft is a big part of my life. I met my fiance on here. This is more than a game to me. This is a way of life! For the Alliance!!

I'm most looking forward to the class changes making them more diverse and unique. I miss the race-specific priest spells. Those were some of the most fun things in the game.

I have always loved raiding and it has always been the thing i get most excited for. Specially when there is a new expansion since there are so many things that changes, everything from class gameplay to new boss mechanics. Legion from what i've seen so far seems to take it to the next level.

In the past I only enjoyed the "single-player" aspect of the game, questing and exploring the world etc. But when i joined a guild and started to raid and bash my head against bosses with my guild mates and the satisfaction when you finally kill that raid boss you have been trying to kill for so long. These are some of my best memories that i have from WoW.

I've been looking forward to Legion for a long time. I love the overall lore and story behind the Legion, as well as getting to see the new Artifact weapons, and explore a whole new landmass.

I have been hoping WoW would add some kind of Alternate Advancement (similar to EQ's) for a long time, and it seems that the Artifact Power is just that, and I cant wait to dive into it.

The new animations, and the combat sounds are awesome from what I have seen from the videos.

As for a personal moment... it was in game a long time ago, back when my guild was working on Nefarian in BWL. First night of attempts, and I learned that you cannot speak in vent and FRAPS at the same time, as it would feedback the game sounds at a bajillion decibels into the microphone lol. You can actually hear them telling me not to speak in our kill video.

Well, here is hoping I get picked. Good luck to everyone!

I hope to meet all specializations of the class, as the story will develop and test the raid to enter the live prepared for the meetings.

I hope also the class hall, I know how that influenced the gameplay of the classes specifically hunter.

Legion, in my opinion, is looking great. All of the classes are looking awesome, obviously still some balancing issues to go, but still, it looks awesome! I, personally, are having difficulty deciding on what class and spec to play in Legion, i have a couple in mind. Which Legion Beta would help me decide what to play on launch day!

I still remember when i first started playing back in Cataclysm and i used to think that the Dice icon meant that we would just roll for it to sell, then i found out i had been ninja-ing items for a good couple months without knowing it. Everyone was a noob once i suppose haha.

With regards to Legion, i love the idea of each class becoming more orientated around the fantasy that surrounds it. It will be fun to learn most the classes again and to see how their backstory weaves into their abilities. I do feel however that yes ability pruning was semi needed for most classes with all of the new abilities, i feel too much was pruned and that almost all of the classes are becoming the same with CC, offensive CD's, Defensive ones etc. Each class should be distinctly different.

But yeah, with regards to certain Lore happenings in Legion, that we know of, I feel that Legion will have a potential epic story line, like it has had over and over again across many expansions.

I currently play with a small group of very close friends, and i felt that 20 man mythic would threaten this as we would have to join a large guild to raid at the high end, But with the new Dungeon system, i feel that we could play just us once again (only if the rewards will be on par with raiding gear, which i hope it will be for the hardest difficulties), which i have extremely missed since 10man mythic/heroic back in MoP, it felt a lot more personal back then and everything you did was more of an impact on whether you killed the boss or not. My favourite raiding moment was when we killed Heroic (before it was changed to mythic)Thok 10man in Siege. It took us nearly 100 attempts but the feeling once we finally killed was amazing.

I would love a beta key, ill be getting deployed soon and ill be gone before the xpack launches. I really can't wait to just jump in and play a demon hunter, they look and sound so much fun!!!! Its kind of like when the DK's came out I was very excited to jump into playing them as well!

I am looking forward to coming back to WoW after, what, 2 years?

Stoked to play the Demon Hunter because I have always had a bit of a brocrush on Illidan. Lemme put it this way, if he lived on earth I feel like when he wasn't betraying his race or slaughtering innocents he might be able to kick back and drink a beer with the buds, y'know?

The hardest decision I have right now is trying to pick a class to boost to 100. Do I go with the soft, yet sensual Night Elf Druid? Or should I go with the big dick Tauren Shaman?

So hard to choose!

Looking forward most to playing the new demon hunter class, and learning more about their lore! Also looking forward to those "wow" moments when you walk into a new zone, dungeon or raid and are totally taken by the visuals and sound and the immersion of it all.

As for favorite moments in the game, I can think of many but the first funny moment was way back during TBC when me and two irl friends rolled our first toons, and my friend's lowbie gnome warrior got himself stuck under a log in the dwarf starting zone. He was borderline panicking and for whatever reason it was just beyond hilarious. Other favorite moments include downing very challenging bosses with our guild throughout the last several expansions, including heroic deathwing (and heroic spine leading up to it!).

Been playing since BC and still in love with this game. All the ups and downs, still hanging in there. What I'm looking forward to the most is seeing where Blizzard is going to take us next. What direction the story and heroes go. The lore, the characters, the class changes. Hell just everything!

I have been waiting for Illidan's return and Demon Hunter xpac for so long..and it's finally going to happen. All the changes coming are interesting. But my favorite point so far are ALL these class reworks and change to sloppy ones. I'm a big fan of melee DPS, and those Warriors and DK changes look so sweet.

A more on point transmog system for veteran. Still hoping they better use this area.

Well my favorite part about a lot of blizzard work is the story the lore and this time I'm excited and broken the part that breaks my heart brings me low cuts me deep is the news in King Varian Wrynn dyeing the strong king that has led the mighty alliance through so much. The great fall of the LK the battle and shake of the cataclysm the discovery of pandaria and the journey through time to save another world such an amazing story he has had and a strong character he's been just a leader you could be proud to get behind.

And that leads me to the disappearance of Vol'jin, now I was never the biggest fan of the new war chief but he was steadfast in the destruction of garrosh and was a stable force and he had the support of my boy thrall but what's happened to him ?

Now to the queen everyone loves to hate Sylvanas Windrunner is the new Warchief in action the great banshee queen in my opinion this was a long time in the making and if she had not been so hell bent on hatred and retaliation and then did not feel overlooked and led to more hatred then she would have made a Great War chief she is strong a great leader she is intelligent analytical an obvious decision but what will her hatred for everyone and everything lead to ? So yes a lot to be sad about but a lot to look at and see how things will change and what will happen

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
