Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Leveling alts and gold farming is usually where I like to focus my time in Warcraft. I feel like the Garrisons have put this on easy mode this expansion though. It's not much fun since all you have to do is sign in everyday for garrison chores. Most of my alts never even leave the garrison. I'm hoping Legion will change that. The ability to pick what order I want to level through zones sounds awesome! It'll make the leveling experience much less formulaic and repetitive. I'm also excited about the changes coming to professions. I'll make them much more interesting and fun to level. Maybe gathering professions will come back in style :). Some of my favorite memories are farming ore in Nagrand during BC to try to save up for epic flying.

Probably the thing I look forward most to is the story. I've always been a huge lore nerd and I've recently been reading Warcraft Chronicles Vol. 1 and it was really amazing to see how Blizzard added more detail to stories we both know and didn't know before, especially about the titans which is why I look forward to this expansion. Gonna be good seeing how the Pillars of Creation will play its part in the story.

Probably one of the best moments in WoW was when I got Invincible and Big Love Rocket the same day, I couldn't believe my eyes! (I farm a lot of mounts! :D)

Also, I would like to give a shout out and thank you to the founders of Icy Veins, Damien and Vlad for contributing to the Warcraft community! I actually made this account only today but I've used Icy Veins so many times before for class guides and tactics. You really help everyone out and you really deserve what you have, so again, thank you for taking all the time you have to help everybody else! <3

I'm really excited for the minor things, that almost everyone skipped, like artifacts/skills interation with npcs (Ex: use spectral sight to see the true form of a npc) and other stuffs about rpg and fantasy the game has lost along the years. Quests, lore, raids, are all awesome and blizz never dissapoint me in that way. And i`m excited to test the Demon hunter vengeance class and my new Demonology warlock spec.

I'm excited to see the new raids. Ever since i first stepped foot into molten core I've been hooked to raiding. I also can't wait to see how demon hunters play.

I'd just like to say how very excited I am to see this expansion released. As mentioned in the OP, so many new features to look forward to, however the one I am most looking forward to is the new dungeon experience. Going through all the expansions, I would say the thing I've done the most of is dungeons. I love the 5 man play, I've played all the roles, and even though I didn't enjoy challenge mode as much as I anticipated, it was still fun!

That being said, I will always remember this game for the first raid instance success my friends and I shared. We 3 15 year olds at the time of MC led a 40 man group of players down the depths to destroy Ragnaros. After weeks of progression clears, attempts, gearing, crafting resistance gear, resistance potion (having to clear scholomance pre-raid to make guild flasks, although that may have just been for Naxx?) and all that hard work, we finally killed him. The reaction from the raid team was just sheer excitement, it was so awesome!!!

I keep telling my friends Ill be rolling DH in Legion, as I was so happy and successful when monks were released (MW was op)...but I think Ill end up continuing on the path of the warrior or paladin.

Woah, typing that for real made me realize, Ive been waiting this whole time for the DH class to be released... it was never really a choice!

I am really looking forward to the new class changes. I've had the most fun playing arena back in TBC when every class felt unique. Which is something that got lost during the last expansions.Even though the balance wasn't that great, i remember queueing arena for hours simply because the gameplay was so much fun. That is probably my favorite wow memory.

I think heading back to the original idea of every class sounds very promising and i can't wait to test all of them.

I'm definitely looking most forward to artifacts and the new dungeon keys. The keys just sound like an amazing idea that will make dungeons fun to keep repeat running. What I loved most in the past was the entirety of WotLK. I played a whole lot of WC3 and to finally get to go one on one with Arthas was amazing.

I remember how hyped I was when I got a beta key for WoD, and I would love to feel that again. I still have a screen shot of the mail, and knowing I was one of the first (like, kinda, you know) to explore the new expansion, I felt really awesome (even though I have like two friends who play wow)
Anyway, happy anniversary!

I'm looking forward to demon hunter and the artifact weapons. Also interested in the prestige system as well as the wardrobe option instead of hoarding all my transmogrification in my bank. I personally miss reforging, but I liked the whole garrison idea. I just wish it was implemented where it could be a player v player kind of thing.

Out of everything, I think I'm most excited for the artifact system. It seems like they took some of the best parts from that oft-mentioned ArtCraft post and worked it into the game in a way that seems awesome.

Second to the artifact system, I'm also looking forward to continuing the lore in Azeroth. WoD was a relatively self-contained story for the most part, with Gul'dan being the major connecting character. I'm also excited to see how the recently revealed information from Warcraft Chronicles might impact the in-game lore. Given what we now know about the Titans, I'm not sure if we'll ever see one but I certainly hope so!

Looking forward to trying out Demon Hunters and all the new lore, Also really interested in the new PvP/Artifact system as I have been hoping they would introduce more complexity to the talent/ability system. Also the honor prestige gives me something to grind between content phases or when partners aren't on for ranked. can't wait!

WOW is one of the few games that somehow no other can really touch. I have tried several different mmorpg's but keep coming back to wow.. even now when I have mostly have enough time to just login and do garrisons it is still fun. Also it is fun to see my teen son start digging in deep to the game and get into raiding and enjoy developing friendships with people in his guild.

My daughter and I are so very excited to create a Demonhunter! We love to play together and explore new classes! We have leveled pandas, worgens, and goblins together during the past expansions and looking forward to exploring the new class together! We have a strategy, we wait out the first wave of the first month of the expansion and we like to play together late at night on saturday nights so we don't have to fight to many crowds for quests. It worked very well for us when we started our pandas and hopefully it will be a good experience this time again! The only real problem we have is our faction choice....she loves Ally and I am all Horde. I usually give in to her, after all she is my only daughter *sigh* how I ended up with an ally girl I don't quite understand but at least we are playing together!

I'm really looking forward to the artifact weapons. I enjoyed garrisons and shipyards quite a bit, so I'm also excited to see the class halls - hoping we'll see other players, but knowing Blizzard they'll likely be just the player and a bunch of NPCs (though hopefully we can bring other members of our group into the class halls). The previews I've seen so far for each class hall are amazing; can hardly wait to see what the final results are.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
