Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

What im looking forward to most in Legion is by far the Artifact Weapons and the Wardrobe.  I am a completionist and really wanna collect all the older tier gear to be able to mog it to what i want.

I started playing in BC and my favorite part of wow until now has been Ulduar. I loved that raid.

Looking forward to try and build a guild back up and play Legion together!

I'm mostly excited about hanging out in Dalaran again. I really miss those days. I've been playing since 2006, but Dal was always my favorite place to hang out with everyone as the "main" city. I can't wait for the expansion! I'm itching to play.

Really looking forward to the demon hunter, going to make one for sure. Also plan on playing my healer monk since the new abilities look really fun, specifically essence font, like the visual animation on it a lot and it seems powerful and cool. Also honestly can't wait for the early xpac and leveling characters, I think it'll be really unique and cool this time around as you have a different artifact questline for each character you level, and you can level in any zone order you want. It'll make getting your characters up to max a lot more fun imo.smile.png

There are so many things I'm excited about. The overhauled dungeon challenge system, the new PvP system, the artifacts, the lore... It seems like they're doing everything right with this xpac! Can't wait.

I am really looking forward to Demon Hunters and the new pvp honor system. Getting a chance to test it early and give feedback would be a really nice bonus.

I am really excited for the new class Demon Hunter (I usually get excited for a new class to be introduced into the game), as well as the Artifact system, it seems really cool to have a weapon that progresses with your character in terms of strength. I enjoyed Cataclysm dungeons oddly enough, and I look forward to the new dungeons being added in Legion. Can't wait for Legion! smile.png

Also, happy 5th anniversary Icy Veins!!

Can't wait for more Demon Hunter lore and the return of Illidan. I wonder how the bearer of the Skull of Gul'Dan from our world will take being awoken by a Gul'Dan from another dimension.

Legion will bring some amazing new zones, which I can't wait to explore! Also, I'm really interested in the disc priest changes -since that's been my main for a while- and how they will work in PvP. The new honor system might make me take competitive PvP more seriously and I am looking forward to check how it works and how far I can push myself for rewards. Last but not least, the new profession system looks very promising and I can't wait to try the different profession and their questlines as I proceed with my journey in Broken Isles!

The part I am most interested in legion is the artifact weapons and demon hunters.

The biggest moment in WoW for me was getting into my first raiding guild back in WotLK when ICC came around. I am still in contact with them to this day.

Some of my fondest memories come from the times I had with the people I met in my current guild. We've gone beyond being just raid team members, and become real friends. This is what really draws me to WoW still, and has in the past.

I'm really exited about the artifact weapons in legion as they seem to be an interesting way of bringing new mechanics into the game. I'm also looking forward to the changes they are making to affliction warlocks as they currently seem a bit meh on live. But one of the coolest new things legion is bringing to the game must be the wardrobe!

Overall I didnt like Warlords a lot, but I really like the changes they are making in legion and im sure a lot of you guys do aswell. I enjoyed playing my main a lot more in MoP, and im currently uncertain about what my main will be in legion. That is also the reason I want this beta key, so I can test and figure out what to play smile.png

My fondest memory in WoW must be the first time I went to Howling Fjord (as a lvl 13). I still remember the epic music while taking the boat to the first quest hub :D

Good Luck everyone! I'm mostly looking forward for the new Arms warrior. Its playstyle right now is lackluster and legion makes hit super fun! Also the artifact talents look super cool and bring more back into the game

Extremely hyped for Legion, especially after watching streams and seeing the quality of the dungeons. The dungeons in WoD were such a letdown and, given we're forced into spending so much time in them farming valor, its made it even worse!

There's a whole list of other stuff I'm excited for too - Some of the crazy artifact effects (still looking forward to seeing the demo lock one when it gets added to alpha, even though I main a mage), the transmog revamp, being able to change talents so easily...the list goes on!  Can't wait to see more raid testing too, the bosses so far have been really different, so I have high hopes for the rest!

The thing I most look forward is the talent trees in the wepaons. I think this might add a unique twist to each class much like vanilla when there were so many different specs. Ive been anxious for them to bring some individualism back into the game and seems like theyre doing just that!

What I'm looking forward to the most in Legion is the revamped transmogrification system. As a *massive* transmog enthusiast the idea that I'll have my entire collection at my finger tips is just too good to be true! Then there's also that new "Essemble" thingy that's been popping up indicating both Plate and Mail users will get access to the Scarlet Chains set? Fantastic! biggrin.png

I've already started digging around for Legion armor models and stuff trying to scope out the next transmog set for my collections and my many, many alts. I'm extremely excited, Blizzard's artstyle has improved with every expansion!

I'm really looking forward to the new Shadow Priest design, I'm currently rolling with my priest as my main during WoD with Holy as my main spec but struggling to enjoy shadow as my OS especially since dotless CoP is just boring and demanding. So far though the changes I've seen from alpha are very promising unlike holy which seems to be taking a more direct healing strategy while using less powerful raid healing techniques to reduce the large CDs.

I guess i'm just losing to see that much lore, Malfurion questline, Demon Hunters feelings towards their need to fights the demons and, for sure, the redemption story of Illidan.
Those beautiful crafted lore around the artifacts too, omg, i want almost every single one of them.
And, besides all that, my friends who are into lore as well, they are coming back to play that, will be awesome to discuss with them as we play. =)

Been keeping a close eye on the legion alpha videos and live streams and I must say I like what I see.The setting, the lore (Huge lore nerd here) the class changes (most of them anyways) the actual content ( Raid and dungeons for me ) all seem really compact. Hopefully blizz has really learnt from their Draenor mistake ( yes that last expansion , specially what it became towards the end ) and give us an expansion that dosent wont start well ( Draenor started really well too with amazing lvling experience and all ) but is maintained throughout its time.

On another note.. really torn between playing my mage as my main or switch to a new class :P

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
