Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty excited for Legion. Wod has the been the first expansion I have played non stop since it dropped. I went from very little experience in raiding to my guild killing mythic Archimonde last month! That being sad there isn't much to do nowadays except farm gold, mounts/pets, do some pvp, and log in for raids.

I'm really looking forward the class fantasy aspects of legions. I'm trying to level all classes to 100 so I can experience there story and artifact quests in legion. One thing that really excites me as taking away secondary stat importance for some classes like fire mage. I really hope blizz does it right and I can play fire in the first raid of legion... that would be awesome!

Another thing that will great is my brother wants to get back into wow for legion. The reason I first started playing wow in cata was that I could spend more time with my brother since I was a freshman in college and my family just moved over seas to Italy. It was a way for us to connect and spend time together despite the miles. We were never really that close until we started playing wow together and for that reason wow holds a special place in my heart.

I am looking forward to the new 5 man dungeon system with the increasing difficulty. It seems like it can add some 5 man competitiveness to the game which could be fun.

hiho,

my english writing is not good so sorry first..

so much i realy like in legion, first that scaling of zones so you can level where want on the new zones and also the fact that you proberly can create dailyhub much better, not like in warlords where level 100 ogre hit my lvl 91 char dead because i didnt know there where small  lvl 100 zones there. Also like the idea of removing the calss buff while give all/most calsse mirror buffs fitting the class spell , semms like iam the only one liking greater blessings. My main is ele so i realy like NO CDS ON SHOCKS.

The Challenge Mode's from MoP I absolutly loved them!

I did most runs with my friends trying to figure out ways to beat the timer. But we also did some runs with a mage. He had, for a couple of dungeons, the best CM times of our server. The tricks he knew were awesome! Like how to do certain pulls and what tactics worked on certain bosses etc etc. Learned alot from this guy, pushed me as a healer to my limits.

I also remember we were pretty amazed at the damage this guy dealt. While me and my guildies weren't noobies who didn't knew how to play. (We had Mythic experience, 2k+ arena rating)

Anyways I'm very excited at the dungeons of Legion, what I've seen so far looks amazing!

Also I'm wondering if the MoP CM gear wil become available to all my characters once legion launches? Since the gear is a quest reward, and I heard that all gear from completed quests will be available to transmog.

I'm excited to try out the changes to Subtlety as Rogue has been my main since I started.

Favourite moment was killing Garrosh for the first time after my first full tier progressing in a guild.

I've always wanted to try Demon Hunter, been playing warlock since vanilla since that was the closest thing to it. I've always liked testing the betas I've been able to, I usually give pretty detailed feedback.

I've been an avid pvper in just about every game and WoW was no different. I think my very first pvp took place just outside of Crossroads. A group of about 20 went head to head against alliance and pushed them back to ... man, it's been so long I actually forget the name of the next area. Anywho, the battle went on for maybe an hour or two, but it was an amazing experience. As soon as BGs were implemented, I don't think I was ever happier. I spent about 90% of my time in BGs and the rest Questing and Raiding.

With that said, I don't think I have been so eagerly awaiting a new expansion after reading about the PvP changes! I absolutely love the direction Blizzard is going in with this and I cannot wait to experience it. WoW looks like it is actually going to fully cater to both the pvper and raider which is an outstanding achievement!

I don't think anyone can pull off having BG and World PvP coexist, but if anyone can, it'd be Blizzard.... but is it too late??? We've all been wrong in the past, so we shall see! Maybe this will be the next big accomplishment for Blizzard.... their achievements never end!

For me personally, I'm really looking forward to the artifact weapon system.  Getting these really cool weapons that have a ton of lore attached to them, having this cool questline associated with each, and upgrading them overtime, seems really friggin' cool.

I rly hope we can that wrath of lich king exitment once again, or even burning crusade for that matter.

when you see the cinematic, i have a glimmer of hope it wil happen

What I'm looking forward to most in Legion are... Well. It's a toss up between two things, really.

First are Artifact weapons. Not so much for the gameplay they offer, but the lore. I am a massive lore fan, and love to experience the game's story firsthand wherever possible. I'm currently working on getting an alt of every class up to level 100, and across both factions too, just to be able to do -every single one- of the artifact questlines. I want to see the story behind each weapon, I want to learn about their origins, and I want to see it firsthand, rather than reading up some guide about it. Guides are for gameplay, not for story, in my opinion.

Second is Demon Hunter. I have mained a Hunter for all nine years I've been playing this game... But sadly, my love for the class has gone down somewhat over WoD. Even if the expansion has had moments where we've been incredibly OP, mechanically the class just hasn't been as enjoyable as it used to be.

As such, I am very tempted to take the chance and dedicate myself to actually maining a Demon Hunter. Call it faith, I guess? I'm sure many will roll one as an alt, but some people will need to main them too, right? And with me not loving my main as much anymore... Yeah. Part of why I'm hoping to get into the beta is to test the hell out of that class. Also going back to my point about lore, I have always been a sucker for anything Fel and Legion (the bad guys, not the expansion), so Demon Hunters are right up my alley.

Hell, I've even already created a backstory for my Demon Hunter, being a roleplayer! She'll be a Night Elf, and a presumed-dead cousin to my Priestess. She was a former Warden who assisted Maeiv and the Wardens who followed her in chasing down Illidan... Only to end up betraying them. See, Maziane (Even got her name ready!) fought in Hyjal when the Legion invaded. And whilst Archimonde may have been defeated, she saw firsthand that the only way to truly defeat the Legion once and for all was to fight fire with fire. This is why she volunteered to help hunt down Illidan to begin with, knowing it was the best way to find Illidan and join his cause.

Her family never got word of her betrayal, only being told she was lost. As such she was presumed dead.

The bond with my aforementioned Priestess will be... Interesting. She realizes the Legion is a huge threat, but she also despises the use of Fel. I'm uncertain if I'll have Maziane get along with her old cousin or not just yet.

I rambled a bit there, but yes! As you can see I am quite excited for Demon Hunters ^^

Im really looking foward to Legion because i want to become even better than i am now! I believe Legion will become more balance friendly and thats when i will once again climb the ladder to reclaim my spot as one of highest rated sub rogues. Reason i want beta is because i want to give as much feedback as possible about my class and others so it will be more enjoyable once the game expac releases.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
