Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I have always enjoyed grinding everything from faction reps to mounts so the artifact weapon system coupled with the new adventure mode is probably what I'm looking forward to the most.

I'm looking forward to all of it really, but mostly Outlaw Rogues, and Demon Hunters. I played some DH at Blizzcon, and they were so much fun! :)

I won't lie, the beta competition encouraged me to finally sign up for your site! I've been using it for talents and transmog for a good year or so, so thanks for that!

As for Legion... I'm very excited for artifact weapons from a lore and appearance-unlocking standpoint, because they look goddamn awesome and their origins are even more badass. I'm looking forward to class halls because I've always felt that Moonglade could have been some awesome Druid sanctuary if it was used more. I'm holding off from watching the revelations of them until I can explore them first-hand.

I've recently gotten Warcraft: Chronicle and I'm looking forward to seeing if there's any lore about Stone-Mother Therazane in Highmountain! It would make a lot of sense, if you ask me.

Oh, and a complete overhaul to Druid gameplay would be just about excellent if you ask me. If it wasn't my main, it would be one of my least-played classes in the game!

I'm gonna decide which hunter spec I'll play. I don't really like BM and it's artifact in Legion, will for sure try new melee Survival. Don't expect too much from dungeon, they will be fun in begining, but like the other expansions, dungeons get borring after some time. Looking for new raids and as lorewhore, looking to see how much GoT impacted WoW in Legion since they're killing everyone... Also, looking for demon hunter tank, if I like it probably will replace all my old tanks.

Looking forward to Legion and it would be awesome to try it out early on! Can't wait for the transmog changes - my bags and bank and void storage don't have any space anymore =D

Also I hope that it lives up to its hype, and that my old guild will reassemble to play together again, I miss the old raiding days. Oh well.

Remember when we couldn't transmog and it was really fun to look awful?

Nah me neither.

Cheers for the hard work :)

Congratulations on your 5 years!

I myself have started frequently coming to Icy veins early in MoP whenever I leveled another alt and wanted to see how to start dealing damage with a specc.

In the past I've always enjoyed raiding the most(Wotlk being my favorite expansion of all having delivered plenty of that, good and bad) and it is what I look forward to in Legion.

However, almost obsessively following all the class updates, animation previes, Artifact quests and perks I have to say, that the biggest thing im Looking foreward to  is how FUN evry class seems to become, I have been playing since patch 2.3 and I can honestly say, never have I itched more to play the new design blizzard is bringing into every class.

And theres the little fact of giving gul'dan a good beating, that annoying prick...

Anyway, heres to hope you guys at least enjoy my little wall of text even if I dont end up being one of the lucky ones!

Hey the two things im looking forward to most are the revival of professions because for me it is one of the best aspects of the game and secondly, I'm looking forward for the vrykuls return in legion as they have my favourite lore.

Ashbringer.  It will be mine.  Oh yes, it will be mine.  Honestly, the story of WoW is what keeps me coming back and although WoD failed in a lot of places, the story whilst levelling was pretty darn amazing.  If they can keep that going with Legion, along with bringing back class quests (which is amazing!) then at the very least I'll have a great time up to level 110.  My hope is that endgame is engaging and brings more story with it.  I really enjoyed MoP, maybe one of the few people that did, mostly because of the way the storyline was continued.

My happiest memories of WoW are probably when it was still new to most people.  Although I didn't start playing properly until the end of BC/beginning of Wrath, I played on and off all the way back in Vanilla.  Back then the starting zones were full of people who didn't have a clue and were discovering the game for the first time.  Real sense of community it was, helping people out with quests, running into people in the middle of nowhere and happily chatting to them.  Great times.  I'll never forget my first toon on Alliance (because I didn't know any better :P ), a bunch of level 60 Hordies coming in slaughtering all the NPC's around Auberdine then standing around mocking all us lowbies.  We thought we'd be clever and formulated a strategy to turn on PvP then zerg rush them because hey, we might have been only level 10 but there were 20 of us and like, 2 of them!  Power in numbers, right? It did not go well for us :D  I think that might have been the first time I learned about 'kek'.

I'm intrigued by the Artifact Weapons and how they will influence the game as a whole. Also to finally get to see Suramar City the way Blizzard envisioned it, after having my own Suramar from reading War of the Ancients, will be increadibly fun.

Too many things I'm looking forward to that are coming with Legion...

Demon Hunter class, artifacts and the new pvp system are pretty much my favourites though. Would love to be able to test some of it out beforehand.

Thankyou for all the hardwork you guys have done here at Icy Veins!

I'm a BC expansión lover and I followed nearly the changes in legion.

I like the new talent system and I like the new PVP system. A lot of BC lovers (for me, the Golden Age of World of Warcraft) will return and I hope the community will be like it was in that exp.

I personally don't like the new Lore... Illidan again? Well if we have a raid like BT, it will be OK.

For what I've see and read about in legion I'm really looking forward to the Transmog changes to clear out my full bank/void storage and also all the new zone quests/artifact quest.

As for my favourite WoW moment has to be back in Wrath of the Lich King when a mate and I were levelling DK's in Hellfire Peninsula on top of Hellfire Citadel. A Shadow Priest mind controlled me and jumped me off the citadel, my mate Death gripped my mind controlled body back on and we proceeded to kill the priest.

I really thought that was a MLG moment. :D

I'm really looking forward  to the classes overhaul and the artifact system, I think is going to be very interesting to try out all the specs to choose a main for the upcoming expansion, I really want to spend some time trying out and thinking about who my main is going to be; also being able to swap between specs without a trainer is something I find quite interesting.

My favourite memory in wow was back in wotlk killing heroic LK, adding up all the hype of the kill plus de lore through all the expansion and the boss himself was something epic and unique that I'll never be able to forget.

Looking forward to Legion because of two (or three) things: the artifact and prestige systems, better transmogs, and the lore that may unravel one way or another. I've always been a fan of how Blizzard tells the stories of their games.

Apart for the thrill to wield an iconic weapon as The Doomhammer, i like how they are revamping the classes to make them bring a specific utility on the raid. Also the leveling experience free from the leveling restriction of the zones

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
