Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

As weird as it sounds, but I am really looking forward to the wardrobe function. To have all transmog-stuff in one place is just aweseome.

Furthermore I really like the idea of scalable leveling areas. Linear leveling might be nice if you only have one char to level, but I do have six and after the second time through WoD I got bored real quick. So being able to start leveling each char in another area sounds quite interesting. It might not be the holy grail, but it will at least keep it interesting enough for me to level all my six chars to level 110.

But above the above mentioned I am looking forward to new content. Finally some new instances and raids. After all, I´m a sucker for content.

I am really looking forward to all of the class changes, they have me excited for what Legion has to bring.

My favorite moments, so far in WoW, have been all the moments that I have shared with my friends, either raiding or just having a great time.

I have been excited for Legion ever since the announcement back in August. This will be the first expansion I am really thrilled for. The changes announced/implemented thus far makes it hard to pick my main. I really like where they are going with shamans; new resource and all, but the tweaks that have been implemented for Guardian Druids have me most excited. I am even considering maining as a tank in Legion (I've always mained a healer, switching to dps on farm).

However, I do think Blizzard should be a bit more clear in it's communication on the stage of development. I know many are disappointed there still isn't a beta of Legion (not going into the whole alpha = beta debate), but some more clarity on the roadmap might help people calm down a bit. I'm just going by the Sept 21 release date, not expecting it earlier. This way, it can only be a positive :D

A lot of things have me excited in Legion, mainly the Demon Hunter Class, the Artifact System, and furthering the stories started in Warlords of Draenor.

By far my fondest memory was the pull rotation on Nefarian that was put in place on our server back in Vanilla, in order to prevent the server from crashing...I still imagine 40 people waiting in line for the other 40 to wipe in order to get their chance...

After that, the black temple is one of the raids i've enjoyed the most, and i can't wait to see what happens next.

Man I can't wait for legion! I've been playing on and off since Wrath. I'm very excited for the changes that they're making to my favorite specs, (Blood, and Brewmaster if you were curious) and I can't wait to see the demon hunters! I want to know where the story will go with the burning legion invasion, and the fact Illidan is alive! It will be amazing!

Looking forward to the PvP and Artifact systems and maybe some PvEi

was VERY excited when they Announced it back in Gamescom loving the look of the Alpha/Beta so far.

i knew you early mop and since then when i want any news or transmog i just go to your website the best for these things in my humble opinion it helped so much and saved alot of time instead of searching for every gear and set in the game i can just watch it in couple of seconds i know this is a big comment but i just wanted to say the thing inside me even if i don't win <3

The thing I am looking the most toward to is bringing back class fantasy and uniqueness to the game. In past years there's been too much homogenization which I thoroughly disliked.

Next to that it's Burning Legion itself. TBC was one of the best wow moments I had! Other than that Mighty Demon Hunters. I love my warlock but rogues were always a pain inthe behind so I will have the opportunity to combine the two! Warlock Rogues! I mean ekhem, Demon Hunters! I also love to play Illidan in HOTS :>

But that is just one part of it. None of it would matter if not for my friends I play with. We will have a great time together in the world of azeroth, the true way the game is meant to be played. With friends, together, having fun and climbing over obstacles and completing challenges that lie before us!

Playing since Day 1 of release i EU :)

I'm most hype about the Talent changes and the Artifacts and their traits, since I'm always looking for interesting ways to change the gameplay around. The Broken Isles are looking great too, especially Stormheim, since I really love the Val'kyr/Vrykul and the Forsaken. I can't wait to see that story unfold.

I also want to see how the new world drop Legendaries will affect the Meta and Gameplay in general, since most of them have really interesting effects on them.

I can't wait to see more of elven lore and get my hands on my demon hunter, finally! I've waited so long.

Artifact weapons looks interesting so far, hope they will turn well.

I've played WoW for about 2 years from now, but that was enough to get me sucked into this amazing universe and (im)patiently wait for every news about it ^^"

I'm really looking forward to the chance of having Fire Mages be legit without mythic gear. I think the new Combustion combined with the other changes to the spec and secondary stats will change that.

Being a somewhat newer player to the game my best memory is probably from when I leveled an alt and wanted to get some low level transmog and had to make my way without flying to Eastern Plaguelands from Stormwind. Since I've never fully experienced those areas before I was baffled by how amazing the zones were.

I've been a WoW player ever since Vanilla and I've been with this game through it's ups and downs. I keep seeing people bagging on WoW and how it's moving in a direction that wasn't what the original Vanilla version was and it kinda makes me sad that people don't understand that you can't have a successful MMO without the willingness to have it evolve with the times. I am so happy that Blizzard keeps moving the game in a direction that they feel the game should go in and even if I don't agree with every decision they make, I am STILL here after all this time and enjoying the game just as much. That, in itself, is testament to Blizzards ability to make a good MMO that engages every player.

What I am looking forward to in Legion is without a doubt the Transmog 2.0 stuff and me finally being able to get some bankspace back, because I have so many sets, tabards and shirts that take up all my inventory laugh.png

Since I play a Fury Warrior I am ofc looking forward to the new animations coming my way, it usually doesn't go a day before I look at Bellulargamings or Bajheeras videos about Fury animations and Warrior PvP in Legion.

And finally, I am happy that Blizzard makes bold decisions about their game. Killing off Varian is a huge step to take and I hope that they take Anduin in a direction that forces him to mix his somewhat pacifist personality with the necessity to fight when cornered.

Can't wait for Legion, even if I don't get selected for a beta key! Also, big thanks to Icy Veins for your Transmog guides and Class guides (Archimtiros, you're my hero!)

I'm looking forward to demon hunters of course!! Ever since wc3 I've been waiting to play one, and I am dying to finally get the chance! Will be rerolling and making it my main on launch day.

My fondest memory in wow was during the wotlk pre-launch event, me and a few buddies got the undead disease and took it to stormwind (we were horde), and ran all the way to the throne room, where all of the pvp battlemasters used to be - needless to say they were all infected and promptly died... Was hilarious to us at the time.

in the past ive always enjoyed the raid and gathering as much transmog as i possibly can, so obviously doing some raid testing and testing out the new transmog system is what i look forward to the most, not to mention trying different classes out first hand

Very excited for legion. As someone who has played for about three years I feel as though Legion is gonna bring the game to new heights with the Artifact system. As I mean, come on right? Wielding Doomhammer? How more epic can something be? I'm very excited to see how the different class stories will affect the overall narrative.

i'm the main tank in my guild since vanilla, I would say that I look forward to all the changes to the various tanks (to confirm my loyalty to the warrior or change after endless years to another classwub.png ), the artifact system and the changes to PVP.

Icy Veins is 5 years old already? Time flies when you're having fun right?
Congratulations with your 5th anniversary!!! That many years may follow!

Damn and now I have to choose between so many new cool stuff about legion that I like or looking forward to. I'm going to ty and keep it short :D

1. As a lore geek I'm really looking forward to the lore! What will happen with Gul'dan?   What are the King and the Warchief going to do about him? How is this whole story going to fit in our current lore? How did Illidan return ? Are we really going to see a glimse of the Emerald Dream ? And so on!

2. Demon hunter! For years most of us want to play a class like Illidan! Run around like powefull demonish person with those amazing warcleaves. Now finally our time has come! Legion is going to make this possible!! Hurray!!!

3. Artifact weapons! Leveling up your weapon, make it extremely powefull! Gathering all the pieces you need to transform one of the old heros weapon into a weapon even more powerfull than before!

Thats my top 3!

What i really enjoyed in the past was the opening of the Darkportal. To see so many so people infront of the portal waiting for it to open. Horde and Alliance on a pvp server and no one attacking eachother. Calm before the storm!
I also met alot of really nice people over the years and still game with them! All the raids we did together and laughs we had! Never forget them! <3

Perhaps unsurprisingly, I'm most looking forward to finally being able to play a demon hunter. I've wanted to be able to play one since TBC, so it's hard for me not to be overly excited about Legion. It's the realization of something I've wanted for ten years. I think it would be odd if I didn't feel at least a little hyped. I just hope havoc demon hunters get a bit more depth to their kit by the time Legion goes live.

The new honor/prestige system coming in Legion is a close second. Having more of a long-term goal in battlegrounds will make random BGs feel relevant again after years of getting very little from them once the usual gear grind is finished. It'll be nice to have something to work towards when nobody's up for arena.

If Blizzard can pull off playable demon hunters and make Legion a more PVP-friendly expansion than those we've had in the past, both in regards to content and balance, I'll be happy to say that the wait was worth it.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
