Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I feel like Raids and Dungeons will be great since we know Blizzard rarely fails in Instanced PVE. I'm really interested in seeing the new CM Dungeon system and how it will work out over the expansion. It really got some potential.

The Artifact system also seems quite solid. Should make it easier to balance classes/speccs with the help of Artifacts.

That said I will mostly look forward to the World Content in Legion. I feel like it's something we've missed out on in WoD and I really hope they make it so that we can go out in the world more often. And with this new thech that allows Zones to scale to out lvl it can surely open up for content being wide spread across the Broken Shores.

I'm really looking forward to the whole "class identity" thing being really reinforced especially with the artifacts behind each spec adding plenty of flavour that we can all soak in! In the past i've enjoyed raid encounters and how the designers come up with varying ways to challenge the player base - my most memorable PvE experiences came in TBC when I mage-tanked inside Gruul's lair, my favourite boss was Kael'thas in Tempest Keep :)

Can't wait for Legion it's going to be amazing. Still haven't decided what class to go with yet, maybe warrior or try the new demon hunter. Decisions, decisions!

Looking forward to the pvp overhaul, seems to have a touch of the vanilla honor grind but with things to keep it fresh. Have enjoyed the raids in past expansions, especially siege of org' and HFC.

I am, as many others, mostly looking forward to the new class. Doing a complete class swap from my monk tank to a DH tank is going to be a fun thing to do for me. The thing that worried me was the loss of the ability to roll backwards, but seeing the DH's have a double charged "heroic leap" looking ability with a short cooldown makes me less worried. Cant wait to try it out!

My fondest, and most proud wow memory is from when i succeeded in creating a guild that cleared end game content. It has been many years of building and failure, but finally back in SoO we managed to clear the content and even start boosting it! It is by far my greatest achivement in this great game!

Also i am looking very much forward to the PvP changes in legion. The PvP talents is a great addition and i will definately be going for multiple prestiges.

Im looking forward to experiencing the lore that's coming to legion, I'm excited to see the places of old, the area around where the well of eternity sat, and the opportunity to finally fight xavius an enemy who's been around since the war of the ancients. hopefully we also finally get  a view of N'zoth, the last old god currently on azeroth. really i want to be able to test everything currently in the legion builds and i also want to experience the lore. (and to make sure its canon with what has been established). with the story being expanded, and how ive basically grown up with this story I have a strong craving to put my two cents in to make sure everything will be properly ready for launch

Congratulation on yours 5years of epic infos for all my favorites games.

First of all I miss the old day when you had to have friends that last in time were you always need them to complete content. Now theses days you just spam a check bouton and its match you too ppl you don't care so much that you instant kick if they fail.  Blizz want to put the game in more cooperation game and give us the opportunity to play with more ppl, but I fellt like game is getting more individual than its has never been.

I want to Legion to get rid of LFR and force player to get skill and not being afk/carry to get a chance for a loot because its totaly ruin the game experience that is intended.

Wish you guys good luck for the next 5 years and more !

As a veteran wow player, and not only wow, I have been playing Blizzard games since their release of the vikings game. Ever since I was a little kid i have played Blizzard's games even Warcraft RTS which I still play. Playing through the years of wow which i have been playing since November 23rd, 2004 the day it was released and have played since then with breaks here and their because adulthood doesn't allow you free time all the time like when i was little. I have stuck with this game through it all its low points and high points like BC,WOTLK i felt personally that after BC and WOTLK the game had kinda went downhill. I felt a lack of attention to the game, like attention to detail to armor i am big on how my armor looks which is why i loved when they introduced transmogrification all my character in WOD have a transmog set. But even still Cataclysm was a pretty decent expansion all together some nice armor pieces nice weapons and a good story line like usual but in pandaria the game seriously lacked in a lot of areas pvp fell off and was imbalanced, pve just got boring after a few runs not all that challenging and the game just felt to easy with heirlooms. In WOD the game started great nice story and lore but seriously lacked content big time you got 3 months of content supposed to last two years and thats why a lot of people left and even i havent played all that much and i have 6 level 100's and 4 90's and i have a high ilvl on about 3 of my 100's. I just feel like WoW needs some tender loving care which is what i feel Legion will do because i have been waiting on a New hero class for years plus a demon hunter even longer and the artifact weapon idea is genius. i honestly cant wait ti see what it brings to the table because i feel it will bring some of the old players back plus new ones.

Some of my favourite times in wow were in vanilla obviously the game was at its peaks it was challenging and fun and just all around revolutionary to MMORPG's. Just like when Ahn'Quiraj was released and they didn't realize their servers couldn't hold that many players at once in one place because they didnt think that many would show, or raiding onyxia for days just to get it right because one breath would wipe half your raid and when c'thun was so hard they had to nerf him in a patch because one laser eye would kill everyone. this game has had some amazing times for me just wish it felt the same.

Legion looks like its going to be a blast! Can't wait to try out the new PvP system. The PvP system will give me incentive to do random battlegrounds which currently after I outgear BGs, I don't feel like i'm making progress towards something!

I started WoW about a month before wrath came out and it's been my number one go to game since then. I was about 13 when i started, and its grown up with me.

My favorite memory of WoW was getting Sul'Thraze the Lasher on my warrior. I got both of the one hands and a druid in my party congratulated me and showed me how to combine them! My very first epic!

My second favorite moment in WoW was when I dinged my first max level which was a Death Knight.

Legion is going to be awesome and I cannot wait to play!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
