Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really enjoying the new UI on the website!

But i'm excited for Legion Raids and dungeons they look amazing and just so curious how things will turn out with that part, and ofc im wanting to try out the tank classes as they are my passion in WoW.

I started playing in Cata and started raiding seriously in Firelands and i haven't stopped tanking and loving raiding since!

and i only hope they will improve in the game every year and make it more fun to play it!

Well i am excited for the new hero class. I just hope that it doesn't start feeling too stale.

Im looking forward to the changes in the warrior class, especially the talent tree (never surrender).

Though i am still skeptical about the new artifacts and the new class-specific locations just do not excite me. I would rather they introduced guild housing. Similar to Final Fantasy's guild housings but more WoW style. Most MMO's have this feature and i am surprised that WoW still has not implemented it.

Customizable housings and awards for raid clears/ achievement clears, like objects you can put up in the housing.

I know that it is pretty generic since so many other games have it, but i still believe that it would be a great addition that kind of make guild more cozy and tightly bonded. I think this is much better than trying to be "unique" with the class locations that kind of makes it wierd since it seems everyone is the "leader".

I think that some of the Artifacts have a bit cringeworthy designs but overall they look pretty exciting. SO that is why i love that you can transmog them.

Overall Legion looks to be a bit of a revival for the WoW community (Hopefully) wink.png .

I cant wait to wield the Aschbringer on my main Human Pala also i want to see Illidan back alive and see who will be the final boss. This expansion is great it takes me back to warcraft 3 when i first started playing the warcraft game and fell in love in it :D.

What I look most forward to is raid testing with my guildies, Pretty much everyone has it except me and the previous 2 raid testings i was not there. And obviously try out my main classes/new zones.

So far the I think everything looks good as always same optimism as for warlords, my fondest memory was when i was asked being a social in a raiding guild to come tank ultraxion in dragon soul, and afterwards being thanked for it, i had no idea what i was doing back then but i executed it decently.

thanks in regards icyveins!

I'm super pumped for Legion. Especially because I play an enhancement shaman, with all of the changes they are making to them. I can't wait to see how the new play style feels. I've seen some footage streamed but it won't be the same until I get to play it for myself. And getting the Doomhammer as our artifact weapon just makes it that much better. I have a replica of doomhammer at home. I've had a lot of awesome times in World of Warcraft. I've made a lot of amazing friends ingame. I still talk to them this day. Even if they quit WoW I still kept in touch with them via social media. Can't wait to see what Legion brings to the full table!

I'm pretty thrilled about the class story lines. In vanilla class quests such as the paladin and warlock mount chains, the hunter leaf from MC and the quest line for priests to get anathema and benediction were amazing for expanding on a specific class lore. Having class quests that break up the monotony of leveling the same zones for your 3rd character has me stoked to level all of my alts this expansion just to see all of the things going on behind the scenes of the over arcing story.

Firstly, thank you for your guides, they have helped me alot, especially the class guides, very informative & helpful, can't wait for your legion ones.

The main reason on why I am looking forward to Legion? The new account wide transmog system!

As a horde and alliance player, this new system is a godsend; sharing the nice xmogs I've earned on either alliance or horde and unlocking them for both faction is just too good, MoP CMs armor set for multiple chars of the same class aswell!

The other reason is definitly the new challenge mode system a la Diablo 3 greater rift.

I really count on it as a raiding alternative for end game and... 5man instances are alot more fun with friends!

Thank you and happy anniversary Icy Veins !

Having played Wow for quite some time, I've seen the game change a lot over the years. I don't think I've ever been so excited for an expansion yet! I'm quite a rounded player so I am amazed by the look of the new dungeons (hype for raids) and a lot fo effort seems to have been put into the new PvP system, along with the new arena.

I usually play Priest, Warlock and Hunter - they all have a lot of exciting new changes coming and absolutely cannot wait to get stuck in and rediscover the classes and how they work, especially with the awesome artifact weapons.

I've enjoyed WoW for so many years and look forward to many more years of fun!

Looking most forward to the new class :D also the new transmog system, I'm finally gonna have some space in my bags :D :D. I dont like lvling chars (since it take way to long for my patience XD), but a new class is exciting. It's new and shiny and probably everyone is gonna start one at launch so no quests mobs just like with the launch of TBC in the Blood elf area, but that could be a good thing if everyone is sticking together it goes allot faster and maby you make some new friends.

WoW has brought me allot of joy and sadness. Found my first love with WoW (no i didn't fall in love with the game, I already loved it, but a person in the game :p). The relationship also ended because of WoW (he was addicted and liked playing WoW more then spent time with me). This all happend between the launch of TBC and WotLK XD. Becouse of this and my guild breaking up I stopped playing WoW. Untill a good friend gave me a battlechest(my account got stolen by my ex so I had to make a new one) to try out all the new stuff (this was like 4 months before WoD launch).

Cataclysm and Pandaria where completely new for me and I enjoyed it so much that I started again and still playing today :D. Legion is gonna change the WoW world and I can't wait to play with all the new and shiny toys(things) that they are putting into the game.

I can't wait for the new Challenge Mode dungeons that allow the smaller guilds like the one I'm in to actually get good gear and progress through difficult content in a 5man setting. And like my non-existent kids, I love all my WoW memories the same. No matter what WoW memory pops in my head I get very nostalgic and it makes me immediately want to subscribe again. But if I HAD to choose one it would be wiping all night long on Heroic Ragnaros until the Raid Leader passed out and we had to yell at him through vent to wake him up.

Im Looking forward to the new 5man Dungon modes that will come for as it is now i dont like them for ppl is just pull and can get away with it, back in the day then you got aggro and you not was a tank you got kill by that mob so i hope it will be like that again. and allso looking forward to see all the new zones and quest and battle pets. I enjoyed doing 5man with friends for the was hard and you need to wait for the tank to have 2 sunders befor attacking and so :D

And i cant wait to try all the new things that is comeing :D not so much then i comes to pvp that is not my strong side :P

I started playing the summer of last year, and have been told time and again how amazing it is to experience an expac go live. I am very excited to experience the hype first hand, and to take my priest and boomkin into Legion and see what they can do. It will also be nice to feel like a noob again - but with everyone else experiencing something new alongside me.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE FOX MOUNT!!! I don't care what I have to do, I will get that fox! My boyfriend is so hyped for Demon hunters, as Illidan is his fave and he's wanted to be one since forever, so it will be nice to team up and see how hyped he gets over the new class (I hope he loves it).

The aesthetics of Blessings of Elune and An'She intrigue me, I cannot wait to see what my boomkin looks like with the stars in all her forms. To be honest, I just want to get started now!!

I really want the Discipline remake to be viable, I love the idea of doing both healing and damage at the same time and I hope that Blizzard got it right this time(looking at you old Atonement and Fistweaving).

I also really want to bring out my Mage, haven't played with it much since good ol' Cata

I am incredibly excited for the New PvP system in legion. The way they are incorporating the "prestige" like system and PvP specific talents is brilliant and long overdue. I have been playing WoD after taking a 5 or so year break and have been having a blast. One of my most fond memories in World of Warcraft was during Burning Crusade when I was promoted to the leader of my guild of roughly 200 people. I was only 13-14 at the time so this was an absolutely increible experience. I look forward to legion and all the guides and help that Icy Veins will be providing. Every time I'm looking for PvP tips I always find myself back here. Cheers!

Try out the new artifact and see how the play out during the expansion. Also wanting to do PVP some pvp with the new changes the have been implementing! Looking forward for legion.

I first started playing WoW back in Wrath of the Lich King. I didn't have any other friends who played, so I primarily just leveled and did a heroic dungeon every now and then. After my account was repeatedly hacked I decided to take a break from the game, then finally came back in MoP when I found out that my roommate played. He was mostly a PvPer and he finally convinced me to do a couple arena matches with him. This is when I came across my favorite moment in WoW. The thrill of my first arena win was uncomparable to anything I'd previously encountered in the game. The fast-paced gameplay and satisfaction of landing the perfect CC chain and getting the kill had me hooked.

I personally disagree with the majority of players who say there's nothing to do in WoW right now. Even though I'm a PvPer at heart, I've recently dabbled in some of the PvE content as well and it's great. If my friends and I aren't feeling like doing PvE or PvP, we make up things to do in the massive world in WoW. We recently decided to see if we could find our way from the northern most part of the Eastern Kingdoms to the southern most part, on ground mounts without using our maps. Each one of us saw parts of the world that we've never experienced and we had a blast.

As for Legion, there are multiple things that I'm extremely excited about. If I had to choose a top thing though it'd be Demon Hunters. They're everything I've wanted in a class - the mobility, the fighting style, and the lore especially. I'm really excited for the PvP changes too, it'll be interesting to see how they play out.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
