Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really excited for the Emerald Nightmare raid in Legion. I've always wanted to see the Emerald Dream (my main has and always will be a Druid), so it's really exciting that I get to finally see it!

I want to test all the classes and see their quests artifacts.

For me the most memorable thing in WoW was fighting with Illidan!

I am really looking forward to the artifact systems, going to be fun and time consuming to level all 11 specs to get them all :).

I also like that you guys posted a web archive of the original site, crazy to see what it looked like back then, Icy-veins has come a long way!

Looking forward to experimentation with talents and gameplay, especially of Blood and UH. The new blood abilities make me believe the new blood gameplay will be very different than what it is now, and I'll be looking forward to seeing how it is.

I'm looking forward to playing in fully textured Suramar. ;)

From what i've seen recently the art team created probably the best looking city in WoW. And the better is it will be a lvl 100 endgame zone. Legion's stuff to do at max level looks very promising too(there seems to be a lot of variety) world quests, Suramar zone, keystone dungeons, class hall questlines, not to mention profession revamp!... tons of stuff to look forward. Blizzard is finally focusing on endgame and it makes me very happytongue.png

Well, I'm looking forward to legion for a variety of reasons. First, HFC is boring already, had enough of more then one yeah long raid tier with SoO. Second, artifact weapons are a really nice aproach, the certenly look good (at least most of them) and the customization and power ups really make me remember the progession system of FFX, with the nodes and spheres tongue.png Besides, wielding weapons that once belonged to major lore characters makes us all feel op tongue.png Third, class halls, a place where all the heroes of the same class can hang out and interact seems preety cool and way more sociable and fun then that facebook game they impelemeted in WoD called garrisons (plz, blizz, no more garrisons, unless its a guild sort of housing). Fourth, class changes, getting to relearn how to play the classes is preety engaging, with all the new spells and animations, is always something to look forward to in a new expansion (and of course to see which classes will be op as crap and the ones that will be getting the short straw and never see the light of day tongue.png). FIfth, the new transmog tab, that i really hope it gets implemented, cant be bothered to run old raids time and time again with the same toon only to get set pieces of different classes, keep getting cool mog stuff i want but most the times on the wrong toons tongue.png Sixth, the graphical update and the whole new environments, they sure look good from what i've seen so far so it will be very interesting to explore this new landscapes. And last but not least, the new end game content (dungs and raids, cba pvp tongue.png), from what has been released, it looks preety cool and cant wait to kill some new bosses (especially that ratchet Gul'dan).

And that is it, those are the main reasons why i look forward to legion, and would be awesome to experiment the new content first hand with beta key (well second hand, cause it seems only the mythic archi killing machines have the chance to paly first hand with alpha, which is unfair but understandable), cause i never had the chance to do it in past expansions.

Cheers and keep on the good work biggrin.png

I can't wait for Legion. I've been spending the last few months leveling alts as I cannot decide on which class to main. Hopefully I'll settle on something once Legion comes out.

I am very excited about the changes the shaman enhancement. For the first time, there were significant changes in the class and I can take them from the start. As I have not ALFA PTR , I get a little frustrated not to be learning now. I also have great expectations for the Legion , hoping (as always) that the class be competitive with all other melees. Thats all I want..

I am exceptionally hyped for Legion! Looking particularly forward to Artifact Weapons and the lore! Never really been this hyped for an expansion before because I joined in Wod tongue.png

I think my fondest memory was when I was running around on my starter edition level 20 pandaren monk, I really wanted to explore everything so I casually boarded the ship to Northrend to go and explore (Not knowing what was to come!) I got off the ship from Valiance Keep and swum south finding the Kvaldir at Riplash Ruins, at this moment I realised how stupid I was going to a zone that meant I could barely do anything, so naturally I swum underneath and around Riplash Ruins when I came across a hole. I followed it up and it led to a cave, while I was expecting more Kvaldir there was none, I came to a pearl on some sort of stone podium in the centre of the room. Behind it were some bones and there I saw a White Murloc Egg. I picked it up without any hesitation and used it. I then got my first battle-pet (I didn't even know they existed before this!). You can still get him I think, but I have been using Terky for ages. I liked feeling cool while walking through Stormwind with my murloc, then again anything with a murloc looks cool in my opinon! But yeah, that was my fondest memory because I remember getting it when it was still a rarity. Still got him to this day and hopefully in the future. Let's hope no exceedingly cool battle-pets show up that will make me want to replace Terky tongue.png

I really just want to be able to some testing on shamans, Really want to know if i think it's gonna be worth it to continue playing my main since bc, or if more disappointment is all there is left for shaman. would be awesome to test that in the beta rather than the first two weeks of live.

Greet you.
I'm really excited about the new changes for this game.
Since the end of classic I play enh shaman, and the best adventures were with the guild in Icecrown Citadel. until today a lot has changed but the shaman still makes fun.
To legion come great changes, and I look forward to the classes and also speccs feel especially right again.
I would like to see a beta key to all classes and the new pvp system.
from leveling in legion however, I would stay away because the explore the strange world I would like take away for the release. that count for dungeons and raids!

I'm really hyped about Legion because i want to see how Azeroth will face this ancient enemy, full of power and looking for vengeance. Also i want to test the new class, the demon hunters and level up a few alts to enjoy fully Legion.

There are a lot of things that I'm looking forward to in Legion: New Honor system, zones that scale with you, artifact weapons, and hopefully getting some of my guild's old raiders back to help with tackling the great looking end game content.

As for my fondest memories, they'd have to be of my guild doing ZA bear runs back in the day. Had an absolute blast getting ten friends together to try and take down that timer.

I like to have an opportunity see what the pvp ability pruning looks like because according to some highest rated players (cdew etc) even tho legion might be the balance expansion for pvp, it will be boring since every class is the same.

the thing that excites me is the music in Azsuna, they sounds great in blizzcon and seems like a perfect zone to be afk in

and the most memorable thing in wow for me was whenever i play my fat moonkin i use reflecting prism to change everybody to a cute chicken

What I'm looking forward to most in Legion is the world itself.  There's something about the beauty of the game that I've really come to love over the years, and its what makes the leveling of additional alts that much easier.  My fondest memory of WoW would be meeting my best friend of 7 years.  You can find the best of people in the most unlikely of places.  Good luck to all other contestants!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
