Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Legion brings a whole new world of lore to the game, i am thrilled to see the 4 new leveling zones each have their own story instead of one whole linear story, as this opens up so much more content than the current expansion has. I am also looking forward to the character development and progression of our own heroes, in WoD we saw ourselves become commander of an army and led it to battle, this time we are becoming the leaders of our own class, i personally have always loved Assassination rogues and the changes to the class have thrilled me, and the artifact weapons look EPIC.

The addition of Demon Hunters also makes me so happy as they should have been added in Burning Crusade but finally i can wield the Warglaives!

Im huge wow lore fan. There is no other game that caught my attention this much lore wise. I used to raid a lot in past expansions but now i am more about just enjoying the environment and of course the lore. I actually like WoD as an expansion even though many people complain about the alternate universe. I however really liked the fact that blizz brought back the warlords so we could see them in wow, not only in the warcraft RTS.

Legion in my opinion is going to be amazing, the history that comes with the new zones and raids is really good. The new zones look beautiful and i really look forward to quest and explore the new zones. And of course the new moonkin form model is going to be nice, blizzard finally heard our calls! I am really looking forward to this game, and to have the opportunity to help testing the game in beta would be wonderful.

For me, I'll most of all enjoy all of the changes being made to the classes and getting to try out all of the cool new abilities with updated animations added. I like the fact that the talents will have more varied choices, and rather than one row of talents for a spec being optimal it seems more that all of them are viable if used correctly and have equal potential. In the past, I absolutely adored class quests, specifically the challenging hunter specific class quest against the demons! In my view that was solo content done correctly, and I would love to see a return of it in WoW.

Well, the days of the keys have come yet again! I remember the sweet days of pre-wod, fighting my way to gain the key to the beta. Multiple sites have held the contests and the sense of dreadfulness when losing filled across the community.

After many tries I indeed gotten my hands on a wod key, and I tried my best to help and make the end product better, with the little I could do. (Some would say I failed, heh)

What I want to try the most is most likely the new demon hunter class, and all the revamps that many specs for classes have gotten. I am also very excited about the new options given by the wardrobe feature and well, it's gonna give me something to do while I impatiently wait for the release of the game.

Whether I get this or not, I hope those who will indeed get in take their efforts into trying to make this expansion something great. Here's hoping. cheers.

My main focus is going to be to look into the story and figure out whats really happening with legion.

Remember: Bolvar and Ner'zhul are still alive, planning.

My favorite thing about wow has always been playing with my best friends. It didn't last long, but for a couple weeks we quest ed together and ran old dungeon content... now we rarely talk.

In legion I'm just looking forward to a new burning legion expqnsion. I started with cata so never got to experience tbc in its time

Ever since the beginning of WoW I loved the reference to H.P. Lovecraft through the Old Gods. Hearing that N'zoth is an new Old God that would make it's presence in Legion made my day. Unfortunately the way they announced him (through Hearthstone) was kinda underwhelming, but I'm glad nonetheless.

I hope to see more lore on Old Gods, it is a marvelous and cool thing in WoW that I believe many of us find fascinating! :-)

Looking forward to the Class Halls, sounds like a great idea, and am interested in how it will turn out.

as well, while i originally was very skeptical of transmog, I have grown to like it a lot, and will be happy to be able to free up storage space and the other features of wardrobe

I am most looking forward to my mage artifact weapon, and the hope that fire with be fun to play again. I miss the catalclysim days of being a tiny fiery god....
My best WoW memory is when I finally received my Branch of Nordarssil. I began raiding in Cata and instantly fell in love with it. Getting the branch was the peak of my early raiding experience. It felt so special to have all those blue dragons flying over Stormwind just for me.

I remember the good old days of Wrath of the Lich King. I don't know what happened, but pvp got stale and the transmit was not great. Looking forward to the new pvp and transmog, hopefully legion can revive wow

Let's see...what am I looking forward to most in Legion? (Wait for it....) GNOME HUNTERS! tongue.png  Every other race has the hunter class option, but not gnomes! It's racist I say! And mechanical pets? What else would the "tinkers" have? This is going to be awesome....

(And yes, I am a proud "huntard" with my worgan. It's an awesome, but much hated class.)

I'm looking forward to the whole xpan. Seeing what they have done to the game so far is making it look new and refreshed and gonna bring that good feeling again I had playing in the past. One of my favorite memories was when my friends I met through the game were farming everyday for the Ravens lord mount and I went in there on my dk and got it on my first run!

I am really looking forward to the new artifact system, it looks unique and like it was a good idea.. my only issue is that I hope wow doesn't become like diablo with the new legendary items that are being added I think it has the potential to cause overkill with so many legendary items.

Hopefully the monks changes work out, so that finally ww monks can be consistently top dps in single target fights and not just on cleave fights!!

P.S. Keep up the good work with all the guides, I love them!! Icy-veins is my go to site for anything to do with wow and the guides always answer any questions I might have about classes or how to play certain specs! <3

I really want to try out the different artifacts in Legion, continue the fight against the Burning Legion and Guldan. I really enjoy the lore of the game and just hope they don't make silly decisions in the story again like they did in Warlords. A lot of the new zones look really cool and the new scaling system for the zones will make leveling alts much more enjoyable than just barreling through the same zones again. Although I'm not ecstatic on all of the new changes to the classes (RIP Metamorph on DemoLocks) I like how they are trying to make them all feel more special and individual.

As for my favourite moment, probably finally defeating the Lich King and the different character speeches you get when you finish the shadowmourne questline.

I'm looking for the community. I remember when I first started playing you could ask someone for help; now all you get is "google it."

I miss the unity, I miss people coming together to help. I miss the mmo of this mmorpg. I look forward to answering questions in game. I can't wait to see you.

For Legion I'm looking forward to being able to level through the zones in any order and join friends who start leveling at different times. My favorite memories of WoW are running Heroics in BC, even though they took a long time and lots of CC, it felt good succeeding.

I'm really looking forward to the artifact weapons. I feel like it make me more motivated to try out other classes/specs.

I'm also excited for the lore it will bring. I love the lore surrounding the Sargeras/ the titans/old gods, and it seems like this expansion will include them.

I've played every expansion as a healer or ranged dps, but this expac I'm gong to try raiding as melee, and I'm pretty excited to see where Demon Hunter is headed mechanics wise. I enjoy the idea of the glaive skills and fel magic involved with the rotation, and I'm pretty excited to be fel rushing around boss rooms dealing with high movement fights.

I'm hoping Challenge modes bring back some of the difficulty I'm looking for in smaller content, the proving grounds is fun for solo play, but id really like to try and have myself and friends push higher challenge mode keystones. Hopefully we get that same sense of accomplishment as we get when we down progression bosses after hours of fine tuning our strategy. Unlocking unique skins for our artifacts is an exciting reward, there's nothing better than looking great in WoW. It's been a long ride aboard this hype train that is Legion.

One of my most fond memories as a WoW raider was achieving the Immortal title from Wrath Naxx. After having spent weeks previously attempting to keep so many people alive, and calling out every simple mechanic so no one was caught unaware, it finally happened. All the stars aligned and no one made any silly mess ups, it was wonderful. I remember our raid leader yelling at one of our melee dps for almost forgetting the Heigan dance, scary stuff.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
