Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

WoD is the first expansion that I did not fully play through... I'm hoping legion will provide me with some of that tasty BC nostalgia. Have to be optimistic.

I'm personally very much looking forward to the leveling experience and the stories told during the journey to the cap. With that said I'm also looking forward to the end-game dungeons and raid content. :)

I am a bit worried by all the ability pruning, but still really looking forward to try the new PVP Leveling system. I am also really hoping that they are keeping their word about "making dungeons a real alternative to raids". Only time will tell...i will play/try it nevertheless in the end ;)

Really excited for legion. Mostly looking forward to the changes to dungeons, specifically the increasing difficulty modes similar to the diablo rift system. Cant wait to see how the new artifact system is shaping up as it might give us more interesting choices over and above the talent trees.

And of course, I can wait for the new story arcs and questing experience.

I'm looking forward all the little pointless things and easter eggs in Legion. Like the shaman mini game or the special interaction with the Paladin prot shield.

Congratulations on your 5 years anniversary!

I look forward to the artifacts and their corresponding class quests.

The new honor system looks great as well and brings back memories from classic WoW.

Of course new raids, killing Gul'dan as well as new dungeons and the interesting zones all look great.

I'm really excited about the changes they made for disc priest. can't wait to try out the new healing build since it's quite boring to spam shields in WoD. Also the new demon hunter class looks really bad ass. I was never a melee type but I'm thrilled to test it.

Since everyone is now fully equipped at the end of this expansion and the members are less active, I can't wait to have the raiding team back together when Legion starts and having these weekly late night sessions again! Hopefully I can get a glimpse of it already during the beta ;)

There are three things I'm most looking forward to, and all of them have to do with making the game feel new again...

1) The Demon Hunter. New classes are always cool, and open up new experiences in PvE and PvP!
2) Class "overhauls:... I think this was a LONG time coming. The classes, I feel, were getting bloated and stale. The ability revamp should go a long way to making the game feel new again.

3) 5man progressiong using keystones. Since FOREVER I wanted a way to progress end game with a smaller group than a full raid. I really hope this ends up being a legit alternative to raiding.

All in all, I'm much more excited for this expansion than Mists or WoD. I just hope it delivers!

So excited the legion is coming!

The warlock is almost redo (just like every time). And the demon hunter so cool, I'd like to say it looks better than DK. The context seems back to the main line, and we face LEGION eventually!!!!!!

I'm most looking forward to the insanity resource for shadow priests.  I've never been much of a caster player, but the idea appeals to my interests.

The friends I made during Vanilla raiding is the greatest part of my entire wow tenure.

I'm really looking forward to getting the artifacts and unlocking all the traits, also the new pvp system could play out really well. Also the few things I read about the new challenge mode system (level x key stones) sound really interesting. Also the new guardian/feral forms unlocked via the artifact are pretty sweet. But the thing I'm most excited about is the vrykul lore!

Something I enjoy remembering from the past was being able to fall down in most of the dungeons/raids. During Wrath of the Lich Kind I tended to fall down to my death during somewhat 'not-so-well-timed' moments. Tanking Kologarn and taking a step too much to fall right through him, Forge of Souls nearly everywhere and Halls of Reflection during the gauntlet at the end are some things that come to mind. While in its' own not the best of things to happend it happend to me while playing with some friends who found joy in my clumsiness and are still playing with me to this day and keep teasing me. Fun times :)

I really want to try out the different artifacts in Legion, continue the fight against the Burning Legion and Guldan. I really enjoy the lore of the game and just hope they don't make silly decisions in the story again like they did in Warlords. A lot of the new zones look really cool and the new scaling system for the zones will make leveling alts much more enjoyable than just barreling through the same zones again. As for my favorite moment, probably finally defeating the Lich King and the different character speeches you get when you finish the shadowmourne quest line.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
