Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Still looking forward to demon hunters, despite everything. I've been waiting for years, I'm not going to let anything ruin the fun I intend to have with them.

I've been enjoying PvPing just to up my gear, but overall I still preferred it in MoP over right now. Mythic dungeons and Timewalking were killer additions, too. Sunk a good bit of time into those.

5 years already??? Wow. Really appreciate the class guides you guys put out, and the fact that they're vetted by legit players. Always come here when I'm trying a new class/spec.

I'm looking forward to new content in general, but always the new raids.

I've been with Blizzard from the beginning. I still have the original disks from Orcs vs. Humans and have played every Blizzard game ever released... Even Blackthorne! I've yet to be more excited for a release as I am Legion. The only one that comes close was Wrath of the Lich King,

But what I'm looking forward to the most is the continuing developments in how the story of Warcraft is told. I remember the almost complete immersion I felt during that phasing and questing sequences in WotLK. For the first time I felt less like I was chasing the lore, and actually playing through it instead.

With due respect, the next series of expansions seemed to focus more on features than on plot content (with some obviously great exceptions, especially in late MoP and WoD. From the previews of Legion, I'm really looking forward towards the expanding story of Illidan, but more over how this will unfold with the new dynamic zone leveling!

Whether artifact weapons, class halls, or prestige systems survive the next expansion is up in the air. But the ability to explore the game and play it as-you-want-it seems too good to be true. If Blizz pulls that off, that is the real future of MMO gaming. I really can't wait to try it!

I really love the idea on how the Artifact system works and I'm really looking forward to all the new changes that are going to made in Legion! I really want to try out the new Frost Death Knights and the new Fury Warrior and especially the new Demon hunter class. I'm also really excited to try out the whole new PvP system that Blizz has going on. Can't wait for all the brand new changes for Legion! biggrin.png

Honestly the biggest reason im excited over Legion is the need to give my heart mind and soul to our lord and savior Yoggsaron! As a shadow priest main the new directions the devs took to make shadow priests worship the old gods fit with me like a glove since ive always loved Old Gods lore!

Legion brings a new experiance to World of warcraft and with its arrival i am most looking forward to continuing to explore the epic storylines that Blizzard puts into the game. My fondest memory in World of Warcraft happened in Wratyh of the Lich King. As a kid i played warcraft three and as still a kid i got to participate in a 10 man raid because my father persuaded the raidleader to invite me. I got to see the downfall of the lich king firsthand at level when i wasnt even halfway decent at the game and that's always stuck with me.

There is so much that I am super excited about!

I love Gnomes and I love Hunters and I am eagerly awaiting the day when I can combine those two loves together.  It is increased by the idea of new pets, new abilities and having the amazingly awesome Hati at my side.  I'm most fond of the black version but who knows I may use the transformation gadget to make him look like whatever crazy mechanical pet I have tamed.

I can't wait to see the new Dalaran and to start questing with my friends through the miles and miles of beautiful new content.

Oh yeah.. and artifacts.  I have at least three or four different characters that I will be actively working to get every possible skin and ability.  Boy do I have my work cut out for me.

Can't wait to see everyone who has posted before and after me explore all the things they love about this game and to discover all the things they will love even more!

I look forward raiding in legion, especially in the emerald dream. I've been raiding for a few years in WoW and my favorite raid is Karazhan.

I can't wait to experience the new melee animations and wield the DOOMHAMMER! Really excited for the Shaman changes and new zones to explore.

Very hyped to find out about all the new Lore , especially after reading the WoW Chronicles.

I've never been part of a WoW Beta before so I have no previous experience to draw from, would love for this to be my first Beta!

Thing I wait for the most in Legion, Demo Warlock. Hype is so real for that. As a warlock main I'm liking what I've seen so far for the Warlock. My fondest memory of the past has to be the moment I tamed my first Hunter pet in WotLK, I miss those times. It might be convenient now but much of the nice little RP value is gone from the leveling experience.

My favorite WoW moment in the past was leveling up a 4-person static party from 1-60, doing all the dungeons at level while we played in the same room. I'm looking forward to the new 5-man dungeon content as a potentially viable end game option!

I'm probably looking forward to the artifact system the most. I admittedly really miss the old WoW talent tree system, and the artifact system seems to bring back some of the customization we lost with the revamps. Plus, the artifact quests look pretty awesome. They'll bring new life to my alt brigade!

My best WoW memories mostly tie in with raiding. My first time tanking Onyxia as a bear tank back in vanilla, my first time exploring ZG, my guild's first forays into the Black Temple and Tempest Keep in TBC, and finally killing H25 Lich King in WotLK are probably my top memories. It's the beautiful concept of teamwork mixed with the adrenaline of new encounters, the excitement of exploration, and the fact that you're with awesome people that make WoW worthwhile.

I started playing WoW in BC but really spent all of it leveling, it wasn't until Wrath that I actually got into the game in all aspects.  But what I enjoyed most was pvping in arenas. My friend and I were a two man team, I was an unholy death knight and he was an arms warrior. It wasn't the greatest idea I admit but we had a lot of fun and I won't ever forget those times.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
