Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really excited for many things in legion.  I'm really looking forward to trying demon hunters, and I'm also looking forward to playing all of my favorite classes after their changes, such as my monk, warlock, pally, and priest.  I have a couple favorite moments in WoW.  One was during WOTLK, which was the first xpac I hit max level in.  The feeling of finally hitting level 80, and eventually doing heroics and raids was something I had never experienced in a game before, and I will always remember that day.  It was on my DK that I still have today.  Another favorite memory of mine was recently, my roommate and I were just messing around in Nagrand, and we randomly killed Nakk the Thunderer without knowing that he drops a mount.  The excitement we both felt when we got the mount brought me back to my first year or two playing WoW.  I hadn't experienced anything like that in  a while, and it really reignited my love for the game.

I'm really excited for the legion expansion. I have enjoyed WoD (seemingly unlike most people in forums ./cry) but legion really brings me back to the end of vanilla waiting for BC to come out, getting into the beta (that was awesome, I made a couple of videos now sadly lost), I'm just excited for all the class changes and DH, going to DH tank cause its what I do /shrug.

Overall I'm just most excited for another new experience that I know I'll love just like every other one.

Peace!

I am looking forward to the new prestige system the most, really like the way you progress. And the skins for the artifact weapons just look amazing!

The things i have enjoyed in the past is both pve and pvp. Focused more on pve in the past because i felt that pvp was not really giving anything. But now with the prestige system i will be able to get a sense of progression from pvp aswell.

The best moment i have had in wow was probably when my guild and i took dragon soul hc for the very first time. I still remember the hype when Deathwing was at 3% and the only ones alive was our Prot warrior, resto druid, frost dk and combat rogue. And then the shouts in ventrilo when Deathwing died and the last cinematic started.

I believe that Legion will be what revives World of Warcraft for a lot of veteran players. I have been playing since October 2005, and had just enough time to get to level 60 before Burning Crusade launched. In Legion I believe that World of Warcraft will have a similar feel to it as it did when BC launched. I also cannot wait to go back to Black Temple and beat up Illidan with a demon hunter. Talk about irony.

Looking forward to new content, as well as being able to return and play with friends. My fondest WoW moment is collecting achievements with friends.

I've been playing WoW since November 2005.  I've since gotten married, birthed 2 children, ran a guild, made friends and had a blast.  WoD made me sad.  My guilds broke up, friends left and I still play faithfully.  My husband left wow for other games including Overwatch that I didn't get into.  It's left me behind.  I want to still love this game and I do.  I'm hoping Legion is what brings my friends back to the game so we can play like we used to.  I'm hoping Legion lives up to its hype and reignites the love and passion this legendary game once held for many people.  Maybe then I won't feel so alone in the game.  I look forward to Demon Hunters, new raids, new lands, new artifact systems and seeing where the story goes from here.

Happy Birthday!

What im looking forward in Legion, personally, would be of course the Artifact weapons and how is this really going to affect the gameplay later in the expansion, though at the same time i am a little bit worried about the whole legendary thing that's going on,(like Asmongold said, you can sit there, killing bears whole day long and get your legendaries. Legendaries should be unique items that few can have in my opinion, or work hard in order to get them, so fingers crossed on this one.) Ability pruning, boy, more and more abilities that are here since vanilla, are getting removed, it simply sucks, and honestly i really think that this should stop! Of course all the Questing experience from what i've seen so far is simply AMAZING, all of the areas and the Dungeons are simply beautiful! Now, PvP seems okay, i guess, i'm really intrested in the new Arenas/BGs they are going to add. As far as raiding goes, i know for sure Blizzard won't let us down. They are amazing on designing awesome raids, so thats pretty much it.So if i had to pick only one thing that i'm most excited for in Legion, would be the whole Lore/PvE kind of thing. One thing i miss the most, would be the social aspect of the game (Guck Farrisons!). At last, one thing that i enjoyed in the past and i still enjoy at the same time today, would be, raiding/progressing with my guidies! That feeling where you get the kill on a boss for the first time with the guild is just amazing!

So I have only been playing wow for nearly a year I resisted for years I had friends telling me how amazing it was, I tried it once when it first came out and hated it. peer pressure that's what did me in so I led a charge of friends here all signing up and getting to 90. Then I got WOD sure I was behind all of you I had read the comments about the content drought but for me there isn't one Im just catching you all up. What am I looking forward to in Legion more I am looking forward to more pvp, more crafting exploring new areas beating my buddies to the new mounts. Running new content together all discovering it at the same time. I just finished my legendary ring quest and I want more. Secondly think of the economy by giving me a key you will be guaranteed more sales of energy drinks and coffee hell your saving people jobs man

Mostly looking forward to blizzard finally working to reduce class homogenization and give more reasons to be out in the world which will hopefully increase the amount of world pvp.

Best memories are of MCing people into the lava in blackrock mountain back in vanilla with my priest, or precasting mass dispel on paladins and lining it up perfectly with their bubbles back in arena s1.

I'm very hyped for Legion. My favorite features this expansion is the artifact quests, the artifact itself and the story behind all the weapons. The scaled zones and world events will be awesome too if they work out. As a long time resto druid I now look forward to test out a lot of specs again because of the overhaul of the classes and it's gonna be good! And finally, as a druid, I'm gonna be able to quest in Val'sharah and enter the Emerald Dream raid!

My fondest memory of WoW has to be when our main tank back in 2006ish, after a long time of teamwork, got his Thunderfury. Granted, I was young then but it was such a nice moment.

Also, great work with the site! Helped me countless of times

I look forward to trying out the new demonology warlock changes! I've been playing demo spec for years; I've absolutely adored metamorphosis and everything that unique spec provided, but a fresh reset and redesign is equally exciting for the future!

I looking forward to the class changes and artifacts, should bring a nice new feel to most, if not all, specs.

What I miss the most is probably the wrath style of gearing and talents, min/maxing with talents was fun.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
