Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I am looking forward, like in every expension, to the class changes. At the moment I play with the Talent calc and artifact calc to see which class I want to main in legion. And I also hope they make more relevant content, also were better gear matters.

Oh yeah and I hope they will remove lfr, since its a game killer. Everytime I have to go in there I exist the game afterwards and feel like not playing it again, since it expose what this game is without friends and it also makes newer player think they finished the game, which is understandable since I don´t play most games twice if I beat it on one difficulity.

One of my most noteable game moments was when I started the game in vanilla, I started as a nightelf rogue. After you finish the starter zone you get a quest to bring something to the next inn. You´re able to choose between bread and something to drink. So I was quiet lazy back then, I only saw oh wow Why should I ever take the bread, since the drink brings back double the amount... I didn´t know it was only for mana. So everytime I had to get hp back I drank something that gave me mana back as a rogue... I did this til level 15... :D

I'm really looking forward to seeing how blizzard's focus on class fantasy plays out in legion.

One of my fondest memories in World of Warcraft were all the class quests for warlocks back in vanilla wow to learn how to summon the various demons, obtain a Dreadsteed, call down an infernal and, my favorite, the ritual of doom! (R.I.P. best spell ever)  I really hope to see more stuff like that, since their focus is fulfilling class fantasy.

In Legion I am most looking forward to finding out what happened to Alleria and Turalyon.  It will also be exciting getting to equip Alleria's Bow.

My most memorable moment was years ago, trying to run across Azeroth before being big enough to ride.  The world seemed so large and scary.

I started playing WoW 10 years ago, so I kinda went through all the good and the bad times with this game. Raiding has always been the most exciting and challenging thing for me, so i really look forward to the new raids and dungeons - Suramar looks amazing and I hope, that there will be also challenging bosses. I'm also looking forward to the new Challenge Modes.

What I don't like so much about Legion is the artifact weapon, since it already didn't turn me on to bring that legendary ring fully upgraded - and it really sucks if you play more than 1 char to keep this up to date.

My best memories...well, there are a lot after 10 years of playing, but I think the most important memories are all those ppl who became friends and still are friends after all this time. I really feel happy and blessed to have all those amazing people around me.

I am most excited by the prospect of having stuff to do in the world again. I've been playing the game since "Vanilla" and back then I really enjoyed just doing different stuff in the wilf. In recent times the game has lacked world content in favor of one zone dallies. I'll be happy to travel zones and do multiple things. Also really looking forward to the new pvp system and the artifact weapons.

My favorite memory from WoW was the first time I tanked in a raid. I was playing a ret pally during TBC and transitioned to Prot. Stepping into Tempest Keep, I was so nervous. Palms were wet and mouth was dry. I was nervous about wiping the group by just getting trucked. I had done what I needed to do back then and had defense cap and learned the fights. Stepping into those shoes was such a memorable moment. Now I've tanked mythic raids, all because of that first experience.  No matter how old WoW gets, and how much older I get, I still enjoy the game.

The thing I am most looking forward too in legion is the new transmog system and the new PvP system. I like change (sometimes) and these are things I believe will bring good change.

Things I miss are old abilities. For example demon armor for warlock...I miss actually having to use these as well as curses and stuff of the sort. #hypeforlegion -Rottfest

I'm personally not the biggest fan of the ability pruning because barebones specs just aren't fun to play, they need flavor spells.

I am, however, very excited for the raiding and the artifact weapons in Legion. From what I've seen I think raiding is going to be on the same level as Warlords which (don't shoot me) was a very good expansion in terms of raiding. Also I think the artifact weapons will definitely have a great impact on how classes feel without creating permanence  as it would with adding Lv 110 talents and more passives.

All in all I'm looking forward to Legion and I can't wait to test out all the class changes and raid bosses myself.

I'm looking forward to learning and having fun with the new (and hopefully improved) Enhancement Shaman as well as going in to the new raids. The most memorable moment for me is the first time i got in a guild run which was The Stone Guard in MsV. Being new to the scene of raiding the excitement and adrenaline rush of the first countdown is one i'll never forget.

Finally a big thanks to you guys in icy-veins mostly for the class guides which have halped me learn every class and spec in the game.

Good luck to everyone and i hope i get a key :D

Been following Icy-Veins ever since elitist jerks stopped posting in depth guides. Your easy navigation and level of detail, and the guarantee of being backed by a world leading player for every guide of every spec, along with timely updates for patch is amazing. Kudos!

I am looking forward to the addition of the new artifact weapon feature and the new pvp talent system. I am really excited that steps have been taken to balance pve and pvp separately. My fondest memories of wow would have to be leveling with my friends and traveling half-way across Azeroth on a 60% mount just to complete a dungeon for half a level worth of experience. I am glad that it does not take as long to level now but I do have some good memories of leveling in Vanilla.

In the new expansion, Artifact weapons look like a fun way to dump time into because of the customization they offer. They're visually appealing and the different color variations for each skin makes for fun transmogging. The talent tree within the weapon is going to be very exciting for each of the fun talents to enhance abilities.

I'm also looking forward to the overall idea of a new expansion. All the new zones, stories, raids, and events of the game is what keeps me going back every year, so I'm very excited to see all the new things Blizzard has to offer in the next chapter of the World of Warcraft.

I'm very much looking forward to this summer!

I really am looking most forward to the transmogrify and UI improvements that are coming with that, simply because it will free up so much bag space and collecting transmogrify is like my absolute favourite thing right now anyways!

The new PvP system also looks really killer and like it will give players another reason to keep progressing, I really like the idea of it personally and can't wait to try it out. However my second favourite feature has to be the upcominng raids... The Emerald Nightmare especially, it looks so good and I just love the idea of fighting these corrupted good guys in zones that we are familiar with!

Hi Folks,

French Canadian, just registered on this forum not only for finally a chance to get on the beta but be part of this community. I am on here every day looming around and gathering info about the game I have been playing since vanilla :)

What am I looking forward too, PVP system, i really like the prestige system they will have going. Can't way to see how we will get pvp gear or gear from BG.

I think it is very interesting for gear to be changing stats as you zone into a pve/pvp zone.

My intention is to focus on PVE but I am glad to see that my gear will still be a reward in PVP.

Not too happy about the change to Every Man for Himself...

I am bummed out since I Created Humans on purpose but on the other hand it may balance the game. That is exciting. Improvement to pvp is a good thing... ;)

As for Dungeon I had a look at Arcway Dungeon. Not too impressive here. Not really a challenge maybe at the start of the expansion but really tank and spank fight. Tanks grabs everything and AOE it down.. Boring... First boss seems like the same model of the first boss in HFC...   On a positive note I like the last fight where the boss channels and you have to run back. I am hoping you have a timer and after a certain amount of time everyone dies make it fun! :)

Not much of a mog person, so i have not looked in too this yet..

I am very excited for the Artifact system something that will honor your main class and make you proud to play it.

As a favourite moment of WoW: I would have to say was running my own guild during BC, was quite an adventure, met quite a lot of cool ppl and became good friends with them over the years.. Although I am not longer running the guild I still keep in touch in real life with some of them.

Cool boss fight was My first raid vs Ragnaros... How intimidating that was. haha but I was coach and was very success full :) First raid first tier piece ever, first epic was great. Thanks to My guild I ran with Keymasters - Dalaran! :)

What am looking forward the most is play the new class the Demon Hunter. I so hope I get a key to be able to see if I will enjoy this class. Right now I am leaving all my character to rot while I patiently wait for Legion to come out. Undecided if I will tank or DPS but either way Demon Hunter is what I will play in Legion!

Thanks for the time folks...

P.S : Sorry for the gazillion spelling errors and grammar mistakes..

Wife isn’t here to correct my stuff haha

Chow for now

Wrekfùl - Future Demon Hunter!

I'm excited to try out demo locks and holy priest on legion, and also really want to test the new pvp honor system out.

Most memorable moment is starting my guild with my brother and friends. That was in Cata we are still all playing.

I am looking forward to the artifact weapon, its leveling process and its talents system.  I am also looking forward to class halls. This expansion looks to be a lot different than the past ones in that you have the artifact weapons, class halls, and scaling zones. This is new to us and I am really looking forward to seeing how it all works.  Past expansions each gave a uniqueness to the game with their changes, but Legion looks to be very different.

I have enjoyed WoD in that I like having my Garrison as a home base.  I don't sit in my Garrison, its just a base to stop and start at.  I like having a body guard most of all, very helpful when doing WoD content, only regret is I can't take them to Azeroth with me in those zones.

Wow where do I start. I'm really excited for Legion - I still love the game overall, but the content drought was just terrible this expansion.

To be entirely honest, class halls don't interest me at all. They just seem Garrison 2.0 without the bonus of having a very neat RP hub for yourself.

I always enjoy the little quality of life changes the most - invisible shoulders! Accountwide tabards and mogs, all mogs from quests you've completed. These things really tickle me.

I think the things I'm most excited about are the class changes and transmog system, I'll be extremely excited for the prepatch, probably more about that than the actual expansion, and that's saying something because I'm really excited about that too.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
