Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

My opinions on Legion so far is that it seems to be a really fun expansion to play with actual content to play compared to WoD. The Demon Hunters seem like an amazing new class and The changes made to most of the other classes look really fun. The only thing I am afraid about is the order halls building on the framework of the garrisons. My favorite moment in wow was my first raid with my current raid. Our main tank (who lives in the netherlands) was really high when we started the raid and he started doing some really dumb but fun stuff in the raid and the entire rest of the team just couldn't stop laughing. It was a really awesome first raid in the guild.

I look forward to the artifact weapons, the new lore, and of course the new raids! My fondest memories include BWL and TOT. I think I enjoyed MoP much more than most people did.

First of all what I have really enjoyed most in the past was just talking to my friends, completing tasks in-game whether it was pvp or pve because doing them together made things fun.

In Legion I am looking forward to playing demon hunter more than anything. I've wanted to play it since I saw Illidan and the fantasy will allow me to immerse even more into the gameplay.

I've had many breaks from the game over the years. But, i must say, this is the first opportunity for me to "catch" an expansion from A to Z. And I'm also quite excited for the Artifacts, and the previews made me try and start a new class for this expansion.

I'm looking forward to check out the changes to item progression (artifacts and challenge modes mostly), as well as the changes to my love and joy class and spec (Subtlety Rogue).

Of course I look forward to test a new class (Demon Hunter) to hopefully experience a new playstyle, but most of all to learn more about the lore surrounding Demon Hunters as a whole.

Last but not least, the lore surrounding Warcraft is something I'm eager to be a part of, especially when combining the storytelling from books and comics with the games.

Legion has so many things to look forward to like the class updates bringing more uniqueness to each spec. Also the new pvp system is exciting to think about. What I am most looking forward to if the Broken Isles themselves. The lore that has encompassed this world seems to all lead back to the Isles and to finally return and explore the ancient land is something I can not wait to see.

As for my favorite time in the game to date has to be raiding back in Burning Crusades. More specifically Black Temple and fighting Illidan have to be the most exciting moment in the game followed by Icecrown. To be able to take part of such historical events in this games lore makes me a very happy girl.

Wow! Happy 5th anniversary! What I'm most looking forward to in Legion would have to be the demon hunter! As a long time Illidan fan and a long time player of agility classes I am very much looking forward to maining the DH come the new expansion! As for my favorite memory it has to be when I first bought the world of Warcraft battle chest and started leveling with my friend way back in 2008. I wanted to be a draenei warrior and he a night elf priest, and I can remember having to run from Azuremyst to the boat and sailing across the sea to get to Darnassus, the world felt so massive! I knew then that my adventures in Azeroth would be plentiful and 8 years later I sure wasn't wrong!

The thing I am most looking forward to in Legion, is all the new content; levelling, dungeons, raids.

Having played WoW for 10 years and currently being unsubscribed I look forward to returning to my adventures within Azeroth.

WoW has played a massive role in my life for 10 years where I have met many fantastic people and enjoyed countless hours of fun. Due to the content lull a lot of people have stopped playing, including myself and I have missed not just the game but the social interactions it brings. It will be great to "get the band back together" as they say. I am "prepared" already with my legion pre-purchased and subscription cards at the ready!

The class changes along with artifacts look really interesting and I cant wait to try them, especially for my main of 10 years; Priest.

I'm super excited to get my hands on some of the new class changes. Some of them seem to have suffered a bit, but a bunch of specs like Arms Warriors and Demo Locks look so much fun now that Blizzard is focusing on the core fantasy of the class more.

My favorite WoW memory was questing in Vash'jir with two friends I recently got to try the game. While we were questing one of them suddenly asked "What the hell is that?!", and I turned around to see he had spotted the Whale Shark. I told them what it was and not to mess with it, and my other friend decided to swim up and hit it, but right before he got in range it suddenly turned to face him and he screamed, after which we all laughed about it for minutes.

I'm eager to see how the outlaw rogue spec feels like. Been playing a rogue since TBC and excited about the spec's rotation. Really liked the Final Boss videos. Pirates <3

Having sat out Cata and MoP, coming back in WoD kicking ass, finding new friends and getting 13/13M definitely makes me wan't to continue playing again in Legion. The Old Gods are some of the most thought through elements of the game, and I can't wait (and hope) that we get the chance to kill another one of them biggrin.png I've played since Warcraft II was released and the campaigns were amazing to complete, transfering that over to an MMORPG and playing through the "storylines" of the franchise have been like reading a book and playing it at the same time, which no other game comes close to achieving cool.png Being able to play in the "druid lore" part of WoW is what I'm looking most forward to.

I started playing WoW back in August of 2007.  I tried out different classes but the one that stood out to me was the Retribution Paladin.  I ended up getting level 70 on my ret towards the end of season two and I lived for the BG grind!  Really looking forward to the prestige system.  Always looking for more incentive to farm battlegrounds. Halfway through WOTLK I got the urge to play a mage so I leveled one up and have mained it ever since, but I am more than eager to get back to my roots in Legion!  I am a little concerned about how much is changing but I do believe that Blizzard will deliver an awesome experience as always!  Heres to Legion!

I'm most looking forward to being out in the world again, and this time having use of the whole world as opposed to tiny little areas designated for max level. Professions look really interesting too.

As for my fondest memory, it would be receiving my first epic mount. I spent an age grinding motes of water to sell on the AH in Skettis, so finally hitting the 5000g I needed had me on top of this world.

Gosh, there are so many things I'm looking forward to for Legion. I'm most excited about the transmog system I think. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all my empty bank space once everything is added into the collections. :)

I am looking forward to the new Honor system and artifact system, I think that it's two really cool new additions to the game. I actually think Legion will be the expansion that saves wow. biggrin.png

I'm looking forward to having less competition as a ranged class because everyone rerolls melee for Demon Hunter/Ashbringer/Doomhammer/Survival Hunter.

Who am I kidding I'm switching to Ret for the Ashbringer too.

What I'm looking forward to is the new hero class, of course! Can't wait to actually experience playing a demon hunter! The new zones look amazing aswell. But I'm very excited to stand next to the Banshee Queen this expansion. It looks like she'll get a pretty big role. :3

I haven't played WoW for a long time. I started as a trial at the end of Wrath of the Lich King and upgraded my account at the end of cataclysm. So let's say I've played WoW for 5 years now. :)

My fondest memory of WoW would be climbing the Northern Elwynn Mountains as a trial. You could easily glitch up there with a mount. My friend and I used to do that all the time and just run around with paper zeppelins chasing us. I actually recruited that friend in 2015 back to the game!

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be able to win a beta key!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
