Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Excited for legion due to the new demo lock changes and that they are bringing back melee hunters! Hopefully demon hunters will be awesome too, but not broken... I look forward to new raids as hfc is getting stale. The pvp system seems interesting enough. Current wow has a lot of balance issues, as well as an extreme lack of content. My current fondest memory in Warcraft history would have to be a 3v1 in arena as destro back in MoP for an arena win.

I thought i give it a Try to became a Key because i want to know if the Problems with the Premadechar´s on  the Legion Server exitst in the same Way as in the latest PTR Patch.

Because then they boosted Char´s will have little Problems when they want get trough draenor before playing Legion.

IF not it´s not that bad because i postet a Topic on the US PTR Forum too so lets see.

Nice that you share the Key with other Players of WOW.

My fondest memories are the times i met people out in the world just doing quests or whatever and having fun with strangers in the game.

And because of that what i'm most excited about is the world content they want to introduce in legion. The diablo-ish stuff that seemingly will get you out in the world and let you explore.

I would also like to check out how my main specs have changed :)

I'm really looking forward to the new classes and artifacts in Legion!

I've been playing since 2005, and my favorite memory is when the opening screen came up, and I entered the world. It was, and still is, a fantastic suspension of reality! biggrin.png

I hope that in Legion warriors are still a good class, as well as warlock because they are my favorite classes and i can't wait to play them in Legion. Also i hope that the pvp improves.

From what I have seen, Legion seems to be changing the World of Warcraft on a level not to be seen yet. With the honor system and the artifact weapons, the gameplay will be much different from previous expansions. I look forward to the reworking of all of the classes, especially the changes that completely rework some classes. Some of my fondest memories have occurred on WoW whether it be bonding with real life friends, or meeting new friends through my guild. Although  I have never met most of my friends in real life, I still hold them to be some of my best friends. Many people say things like "its just a game, those you don't even know those people." But in my honest opinion the people I have met online are like another family, and I believe that there are many people who will agree with that.

I'm looking forward to trying out all the changes made between specs and their relevant classes, and how they will all be matched when in a dungeon or raid situation.

I'm looking forward to the artifact weapon system in legion.  my favorite memory in WoW was killing the Lich King back in wrath.  It was the first time i had ever raided and the entire group was friends from real life.

One of the things I love about Warcraft are the little extra bits some classes get, Rhok'delar for Hunters, green fire for Warlocks etc, but I've always wished there were cool little things for every class. I feel like the artifact weapons are going to fulfil that for me - although I have way too many characters to be able to make a decision on which ones I want. The alt struggle is real.

For me, Legion is heralding some great things. Some raiders and I recently left our guild and switched server to start our own, for a fresh start and to get ready for Legion. At the moment this is the happiest I have been on WoW and I am hugely looking forward to getting started in Legion with some great people beside me. It'll be the first time I'm going into an expansion maining a Tank (and I'm toying with maining a Vengeance Demon Hunter, depending on how they feel - hence trying to get a Beta key) but I'm excited.

Would also like to thank and congratulate everyone at Icy Veins for your 5 year anniversary. I've often been asked to change spec, class, role and suchlike at short notice for the guild and the site has been a fantastic resource - as well as for making sure I'm doing stuff right and keeping up with news.

So thanks guys, and here's to the next 5 years!

I'm really excited about the artifact weapons and the new leveling zone system where all the zones are on your level so you can customize your own route. I can remember leveling up with my friend using RAF, it was so much fun. I'd like to see if the new zones give the same feeling as I had back than

Discussions you say? lets start up on here by saying this..

I haven't really heard much music on the new expansion and I would LOVE to hear some. The music in this game always draws me back when I decide to take a break... just something about that Iconic Barrens, Dalaran and Wintergrasp music! They just make you feel so epic and good about yourself!

Recently the game has been drawn out to either people who pvp and people who pve raid. I think its a great idea that Legion dev's are bringing both worlds together that will both benefit and effect people from each standing side that they love to play on.. I mean who doesn't love to have some scary looking weapons and a Lord of War titles as you race down the ramp into a bg!? (and I currently am not really fond of pvp other than to use it to gear a fresh 100!)

I guess what I'm trying to say is this is great that they are bringing ALL aspects of the game together again, I hope they continue to do it in other areas and bring back the COMMUNITY in the way this game used to be happy.png

Speaking of community, my fondest memory will always be when i raided in my old guilds vanilla-current content I would ALWAYS bop my rogue buddy Treyu for some luls and the most innoportune times... eventually he got smart and now has a cancel aura macro built into literally EVERY SINGLE ONE of his abilities on ANY character he plays... Im sad to see the "no attacks while bop'd" go in legion ohmy.png

Now I'm just a bop for hire kinda guy when we pug... gotta have some shenanigans right? I promise to be less shenanignly-like in the BETA! ph34r.png   (gotta test that holy pally og'ness! gotta rep my dwarven brothas!)

Thanks guys, good luck! see you in or out of the beta sometime!

I'm looking forwards to seeing if they can make all the artifact weapons really feel special and beyond legendary, when they're giving them out to everyone very early on. I think my favourite memory is a toss up between the ICC and Ulduar raids - downing yogg-saron and the lich king for the first time were moment's i'll remember forever, bring on more old god stuff!

What I'm looking forward to the most in Legion is Void Form for shadow priests. I've played a shadow priest since vanilla and this feels like a real shake-up to the rotation compared to previous expansions. I would also like to try out the Surrender to Madness talent to see how it feels/plays in the real game instead of just how it seems theoretically.

Some of my fondest memories in WoW are from when my guild was actually competitive on my server for boss kill rankings. Getting the server first Kil'Jaeden kill felt like a real accomplishment. It was a fun, challenging, well designed encounter. After WotLK we were never really competitive again, but most of us stayed together as a guild just because we enjoyed each other's company.

Congratulations and thank you for 5 years of Icy Veins!
I'm thrilled about the new animations coming up in Legion, as the current ones are in dire need of change. Also, as always I'm hyped for the new class.

I'm definitely looking forward to the new dungeon and raid end-game content.  Here's hoping it as good as past expansions, and that the Blizzard community takes recommendations and implements them for their customers to make the game that much better.  Pandaria turned out fantastic, albeit was massively delayed.  I'm hoping they go back to inserting 'while we wait' bosses to give us something else to do while we wait, too.

I've only been playing for a little less than a year, but have been having a blast. One thing I still can't get over is how BIG Wow is. The first thing that struck me is just the sheer size of the maps, and how long it takes to run from place to place. So much to explore still. I feel I won't have done everything in the current expansion before Legion comes out. But totally looking forward to it. Have been playing a disc priest, but from what I've read, looking forward to the changes to shadow spec, and giving it try.

I'm greatly looking forward to the artifacts and how they might blend with transmogs.

My fondest moment? Probably mid-late cata when I brought my first ever character to level cap and was enjoying every second of it. Very pleasant memories to look back on.

The new animations look lovely and are a great improvement over the current.  The artifacts are beautiful, especially the druid ones.

I hope Legion will make outdoor content, as well as dungeons, relevant again. My fondest memories are from back in TBC when it was a struggle (and an epic one at that) just to complete a heroic dungeon. Gearing up via group quest or long quest chains at max lvl would be lovely to have again since I dont really like jumping into dungeons the moment you hit the lvl cap.

Also, Illidan.

After reading the new chronicles book, I'm looking forward to how everything comes together, the weapons, Broken Isle and class halls. I hope the lore becomes really good from all the set up from books and movie.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
