Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

My favorite moments continue to happen. Just the other day my guild made it onto a new boss in our progression after a completely flawless lower HFC and down of Iskar. We pushed out the new boss as if we had downed it 100 times. We also watched a guild officer who is not fit for leadership and was totally a pessimistic; unwelcoming individual get demoted and kicked. It was an awesome night. The guild is stronger than ever right now.

I am most looking forward to the new survival hunter! I've always wanted a dragoon class in the game. It seems like it is going to be so awesome harpooning people and then crushing their souls!

Thanks for everything you guys do. Key or not!!!

I see Legion as just more of the same, minor improvements, some new content but ultimately a repeat of Warlords and Panderia.

With all the money pouring in every month and the millions of dollars from the expansion it self, Blizzard could release some real innovations.

Things I would really like to see and which I think are do able.

1.  Real exploration.  I would love to see a huge city full of unique houses, unique NPCs, secret rooms subterranean tunnels, hidden treasures randomly seeded or a huge outdoors area.  All spawns being dynamic constantly changing so that no online guide or spoiler site could have a catalog.  The outdoor maps themselves could be dynamic.

  2. Also real PVP, I know its difficult.  But all of the PVP in WoW is weak, and virtually everyone think it is a fail.  In particular there is no real  lasting reward for success.  IN EVE Online PvP works because there is really something at stake when your team  wins or loses the battle.

I point to EVE online as an example of a MMORPG  which has had real success with both the above.  CCP probably has a budget 5% of what Blizzard's.  With a fraction of the money and number of developers they are able to accomplish some success in two areas  Blizzard fails at.

Getting hyped for Legion.  Started playing in vanilla, and I'm excited that from what I'm hearing, blizzard is going back to form with a class fantasy that I enjoyed in Vanilla.  Also hyped for demon hunters.

I am looking forward to the new transmog system so I can finally have more bag space! As a hardcore raider, the content and effort put into the new raids and dungeons are overwhelmingly exciting!

I'm excited for the class halls and the fantasy they'll bring back to the individual classes since a lot of the classes have been homogenized. Also excited for the transom system.

I'm really excited for the new enhancement shaman. I already main one on live so i hope there finally are getting more interesting. I'm also really excited for the new dungeons i always liked them even more than raids. I mean in a raid your just a tiny piece of the other players and in a dungeon you really having the idea your doing something great. I hope there making leveling also interesting again instead of it just costing a lot of time. They should keep the treasure's from draenor. It has a lot of content besides the raiding and pvp. I'm not a great raider or something so im searching things besides that. I exctaly liked mop that way there was a lot of content besides raiding and pvp. Hopefully legion is gonna get so much content your never getting bored. Cinematics from WoD also where amazing give us more of that blizzard. Hopefully legion is gonna be great!

I am looking forward to the new class changes. Unpopular opinion but i would hate to use the same skills/talents year after year. Wow progresses and so should the classes.

My favorite moment was my first time doing LFR in cataclysm. I've never done any raids before and that was a very awesome experience seeing so many people and all the cinematics.

I'm extremely excited for Brewmasters being changed to dodge tanks and not just "Hit Guard I'm ok"

Also BM hunters being real masters of beasts and not just one.

My fondest moment has to be the entirety of Blackhand Progress. Normal, Heroic, Mythic, it doesn't matter. I love that boss in all his states and his VO is amazing.

What I look forward to is the Demon Hunters OBVIOUSLY! My fondest WoW memory was back when I was a noob and just started playing. Me and my friend took the zepplin to Undercity and I started freaking out because I thought the Alliance was going to kill us because we were on the "Alliance side" rofl.

Legion is the expansion I've the most hype for, I can't wait to grind out the PvP prestige system and be able to upgrade my legendary doing both dungeons and battlegrounds. I will most certainly be rolling a demon hunter too, I've wanted to play one since I first saw Illidan!

I have been playing this game on and off for the past 10 years. Legion is finally bringing a true "revamp" to most of the classes and gameplay. As someone who has mained a shaman  since Wrath I am most excited to see how the new Maelstrom system is going to play out. From the looks of it is the change the class needed to feel different and have its own true flavor. On top of that I can't wait to wield Doomhammer itself!!!!! I love the new artifact system and can't wait to see it in action!

As of now I'm most excited about the return of bloodworms. Nothing better than tanking and healing at the same time.

I'm looking forward to Warlock changes again :P Yay, wouldn't be a new expansion without one am i right? ;P Anyweasel, Demo looks to be like a cool spec that i really wanna try, even though i LOVE how it is now. Besides warlocks, im exited to see the artifact weapons, hopefully dungeons being relevant for a long time and the new challenge modes. Demon hunters is pretty obvious something i wanna try to, as demo was basically changed because of them.

I'm really excited for almost everything in legion! I've been up to date on everything about legion from the new Weapons to seeing which characters from the lore will be taken out. I also look forward to learning more about the demon hunters, what they went through and also with playing one. I hope to experience legion to the fullest and I personally cannot wait to see what else that Blizzard has in store for us that we don't know about.

I am very much looking forward to the new PvP system in Legion.  Being on equal ground with other people and having PvP based more on skill seems like it will be much more fun, and I look forward to the rewards that we can earn with the new system.

I just wanted to say, since I have returned to play WoW and I found Icy-Veins, I greatly appreciate the quality of content and attention to detail. I feel like with my ambition and Icy-Veins guides I have all the tools I need to get back into the game and run Mythics without issue. I greatly respect and appreciate the work you guys do, giving us the tools to success while all we need is the determination to put them to good use. The value, integrity and character you all have to take care of the player base as well as you do and stay current takes dedication.

I very much look forward to playing the Artifact quest line for the Frost DK and Holy Paladin, I have always enjoyed the DK and WoD Garrisons and the Group Finder tool has let me experience the game in new and exciting ways. I can't wait to roll that demon hunter :P

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
ACiDRiFT

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
