Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Super exicted for legion, so much lore stuff, the return of Illidan, xavius somehow being alive,  traveling into the emerald nightmare, learning more about the Titans through the pillars of creation, its great stuff blizzard are making!

just lorewise this expansion looks amazing!

I started playing wow back in BC, played a Fire/arcane mage, sucked at leveling, always enjoyed dungeons more, fun part was finding a party in trade chat and then getting to the dungeon!

My favorite moment in the entire game though, was finally killing the lich king on normal mode and seeing the ending cinematic!

Im also looking forward to raiding the new content with the guild im in!

I'm looking forward to getting the artifact weapons for my charters, and I enjoyed the most is that I can hang out with my guild while we go role playing or raiding in warlords of draenor.

I'm incredibly excited for all the new and awesome looking animations and the artifact weapons are so awesome, plus all the new lore looks so good. I am in love with everything that is coming in legion honestly. Especially the pvp talent system.

I've always loved WoW, ever since the first time I sat down to play it. That- was back in Wrath, and despite most people jumping on the "this game is dead" bandwagon, I have always supported the game, and I will continue to do such.

As far as Legion goes? Hell, I'm pumped. The zones look amazing, and so do all the class changed. I've been eager to play the new changes myself-- as I simply can't decide who I'm going to main for the starting duration of Legion.

I'm extremely looking forward to leveling a Demon Hunter.

I have been playing for the last 11 years and I am grateful that I have been able to have such a rock solid foundation for my gameplay in the World of Warcraft. Throughout many ups and downs in my life from the age of 14 to the age of 25, Warcraft has always been there for me. I am extremely thankful for it.

I am very hopeful to get a beta key!

I'm excited for everything legion has to offer. The new raids, new pvp arenas, new talents, artifact weapons, class changes, storyline, mounts, etc. This expansion has really brought me back to the game and I cannot wait.

I'm super stoked about the new wardrobe, the artifact weapons, and being able to play the classes with all of their updated abilities. I'm hoping to have one of every dps spec so I can try them all out and see how much they've changed and come up with some new playstyles. I also can't wait to learn about all of the new characters and plots, and what they plan to do with some of our old favorites.

I am looking forwards to the upcoming changes for my Hunters. I have always enjoyed playing a hunter. I am looking forward to the new challenges for my hunter. I have always been a big lore person. I am looking forward to the new lore following this xpac. I am also looking forward to the new wardrobe and tabard system. It will really clean up my bag space, bank and void storage.

I think the bulk of my opinion on Legion is that it will add an interesting new depth to the game with character customization and play style with the new weapons, artifact and legendary, and I'm hoping the story and content will be interesting and exciting. It seems that way so far.

My opinion of WoW overall is that it has been a fun game, some ups and downs between the the content as well as the way the game was at times. Cataclysm wasn't so great, things got weird then. My favorite expansion so far has definitely been burning crusade, but WotLK, MoP, and WoD have all added some great characteristics to the game, with gameplay itself, zones, class progression, and simplification in some cases.

I'm most looking forward to how my character is going to play with the new legendary and artifact weapons, and the demon hunter class. I'm also curious to see if the new playstyles will mean I enjoy playing a different class besides Mage, or if I will still prefer Mage over others. I'm also looking forward to the content. It reminds me a bit of the Black Temple raid from BC, which was incredibly exciting going into for the first time, and still exciting as I progressed through it.

I'd say one of my fondest memories so far was when I made a new character with a couple good friends of mine. We were leveling in stranglethorn valley, and the hunter of our group set his piggy to be aggressive. It speed things up when it came to pulling, but when we were in the middle of ruins filled with trolls, we ended up fighting 10-20 mobs at a time, and they kept respawning. I was playing a priest and I was barely getting enough mana to cast a heal here and there to keep us, and piggy, alive. We never ended up dying but we had to work for it, and it was fun being with them in a LAN and yelling at each other in panic as more and more enemies kept showing up.

Thanks for the giveaway! :) I am most looking forward to the emphasis on bringing diversity back to the classes of WoW. Some of my favorite quests used to be the class quests in old WoW! :)

Looking forward to the story!

They say Blizzard is killing Varian but he's in the trailers?

How did Thrall come to give you his Doomhammer?

How did Tirion Fordring die?

What happened to Jaina?

I started playing during Wrath of the Lich King, played the games, read the novels and comic books, these are all characters that were really important at the time. They were characters I looked up to. Quit at the end of WotLK, came back just for Legion.

Now they are dying.

It's a really bitter sweet feeling for memellow.png

I am most excited for the level increase in Legion, because it should open up all the old Pandaria Raids to be completed solo. I have played WoW off and on over the years, and recently got into it again in a big way. I might finally be hooked, and part of that is being able to go back and experience the old raid content while earning achievements, collecting mounts, and making a good amount of gold.

Besides the access to potentially solo Panda Raids, the new raids in Legion are also of interest to me. It will be a fresh start that I plan to stick around for and get into early on so that I can raid later in the expansion without having to worry about meeting groups prerequisites.

Oh and Demon Hunters. Cheers.

I'm looking forward to the new visuals the expansion is introducing. Enh shamans spell animations are looking awesome so far. I've always enjoyed the leveling for most expansions and I'm excited to see Legion's leveling experience.

I'm really looking forward to play my DK in Legion with all the new changes that they applied to the class. All three specs are looking great. The new content is also somethin I'm really excited about, especially the changes to the honor system and the new challange modes.

The thing I thin I enjoyed most in the past were BC heroics in erarly dungeon blues. You really needed a coordinated group with lots of CC and kiting. I much prefered that kind of gameplay over the "pull everything together and bomb with all CDs popped" that is prevalent in current CMs.

So hyped for some of the class changes. Making spec's truly distinct should be pretty great.

Also really like how they're kind of doing a throw back to original talent trees with artifacts but in a way that isn't just a look it up online situation (what with all tiers being filled eventually).

World of Warcraft has always held a special place in my heart. It's always been there for me since I've started playing it back in 2009. For better or worse the game has been here and I have been here to play it. Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria were some of the best times I've had in gaming, from getting in a competitive guild in Cataclysm and raiding with them all the way through Dragon Soul, through taking the more casual route in Mists and sadly missing half of the expansion because of personal reasons.

Warlords of Draenor held a lot of promise, and in the beginning seemed like it would be as amazing as it was hyped up to be, but much like a large majority of the fanbase, I was let down by the lack of content going forward, and the removal of some of my favorite "flavor skills" during the pruning. I'm still here though, about to move into mythic progression.

Since the WoD incident, many people, including myself, are pretty wary of what's to come. We want WoW to be fun, and the developers do too. So I want to make it my mission to get into the beta to give as much constructive criticism as I can, to help the developers create the best labor of love that they can make for themselves and the players.

I want to be a part of this world's future.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
