Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm excited for near-enough everything about Legion, but I'm especially hyped to wield the Ashbringer!! As with every expansion, I can't wait for the new content and new Lore (including the Illidan book!).

Hi,

I look forward to trying out the demonhunter class. I am currently a tank and I know the demonhunter will have a tank class so i'm excited for that. I'm also excited that Ilidan's coming back. He was one of my favorite characters in wow.

I hope you consider my comment as a good application for the beta-key :) . I look forward to trying it out.

Thanks,

Lionhammer

As a PVP player, I can't wait to test the new honor system and all the tweaks that had been done to the classes, especially the Maelstrom as resource for Shaman - my main class.

Also very hyped to see Illidan again and face the legion once more, even though I'm not really into PVE, I want to see the story behind the expansion.

Hope to see more hordies in PVP too with the "nerf" to Every Man for Himself!

LOK'TAR OGAR!

I am very hyped for Legion, I love druids and I'm soooo excited to see the zone and the class hall, also the raid! And the invasion being the biggest ever, I hope we can see that not always we win battles without some loses, although it is my job as a healer to avoid any casualties!

Really looking forward to LEGION. Enhancement Shaman is my favorite class and the new changes, animations, artifact weapons are awesome.

Though with the new content comes new raiding and more fun times with guildies.

The thing i look forward to the most with legion is the idea that there is hope... The irony that the legion who is helbent on wiping out all life on azaroth might be the last thing that can breathe some new into it.

Honestly the this i look forward to the most is the new transmog sytem, the new classes and hopefully the "adventure mode" and lets not forget the sickass feral forms!

KITTY FO LIFE!

I'm mostly looking forward to the Class Halls, I liked the garrisons in Draenor and I'd like to see how they evolve them and make them something different and interesting, I can't wait to try out the Demon Hunter class, they look very cool and I would like starting at such a high level as an added bonus, I am ready to greet another location to discover like when I played Draenor for the first time, and last of all, I really am looking forward to the Artefact weapons, I love the idea of every class and spec having a different weapon that makes them powerful, the fact that we can reskin them to look like other things makes it a nice customization aspect, also that they have lore tied in as well, like the Protection Warriors shield is one of Deathwings scales! Anyway, can't wait for Legion and a new area to discover!

I am really excited for the changes to PvP. Hopefully with the dual talent system, they will be able to balance PvP and PvE separately. Also, I like the emphasis on skill rather than gear. Also, Demon Hunters!

I think it's awesome that Legendary Items will be random drops. I understand the problems some people have with it as far as top end raiding goes but as a casual player who's never had a current legendary and who thinks RNG is actually fun, I think the Legendary drops are going to be awesome.

I'm really looking forward to Demon Hunters. Havoc is looking nice and so is vengeance, but they really need to flush out vengeance some more. Overall, it should be a fun tanking class.

I'm looking forward to new content in general and to see how all the new class changes will play out.  I keep an open mind and do not buy into all the gossip.  I want to see and experience them for myself.  As a player of 10+ years my fondest memories of the game are during Wrath and Lich King.  Please bring back rep with tabards!

I'm EXTREMELY excited for the new PvP system Blizzard is implementing into WoW with Legion. Recently I had gotten into doing Battlegrounds and a few Arenas here and there with my buddies in WoD. So I really think Blizzard might impress me a lot with this new prestige like system and PvP specific talent tree. Compared to right now the PvP feels really stale as for the only thing I can really achieve is Rating or Gear, I'd really like a whole new "leveling" system in PvP. biggrin.png

Well to be fair I'm excited about everything that is coming with Legion. The new content, new levels and overall just a new breath of life into WoW. I hope that Legion will bring back a lot of veteran players and of course more new players as the community is what this game is about for me, yeah sure PvP and PvE is fun for me.. But if you don't have any friends nor guildies to play with the game gets so boring (personal opinion).

If I have to look back there is a lot of memories from WoW which I hold dear. Playing together with my big brother from Vanilla until Wrath, reaching max level for the first time, finally topping him in DPS etc. But the memory I hold most dear from WoW was when I was part of a multinational guild. We had weird raiding times and I would often stay up until 3 am on workdays just to raid, but damn it was a blast. Getting the first kill on a boss to just chilling around in vent, it was all amazing.

That's it for what I look most forward to and what I enjoyed the most.

Getting Legion would be the best thing ever. I'm at level 100 and ready for the new cap at 110. The nw artifacts, the legion green color. Of course there's the new demon hunter to try out. Also the new land to explore. I think Blizzards WoW:Legion is going to be a win-win for everyone alliance and horde. Thanks and look forward to playing!

I love Icy Veins .. it has become one of the "go-to" places for all sorts of stuff and one of the standard answers to questions in guild chat :p

Two things currently I'm looking forward to most in Legion - (a) the wardrobe - I'm going to have soooo much space when that arrives!! (b) professions - finally back to normal and relevant again.

I realise that's probably a bit sad, but there you go :p

Looking back - I know people complained about it, but I really enjoyed the Mists expansion - it was a happy, generally cheery expansion with lots of tongue in cheek moments.

I can't pick a favourite moment from the past - although the majority of them happened with guildees.  Hmm .. a favourite solo moment was when I first stepped through the Dark Portal to Hellfire Peninsular and saw all those guys charging towards the stairs .. and that sky ... gorgeous sky!

My first experience with World of Warcraft was when I was 10. I was over at my friends house and his older brother asked if I wanted to see something cool. Unbeknownst to me that something was one of the most influential things of my entire adolescence. After my first magical glimpse into Azeroth I was hooked, I managed to convince my parents to buy me a copy and off I went, into the amazing World of Warcraft.

Soon after I started playing my family moved to the Netherlands. This was a huge change for me, going from public school 3rd grade in Texas to a private international school in Europe. What remained constant for me though was World of Warcraft, despite my world shifting around me I still had another world that would always be there, allowing me to connect with my friends in Texas as well as feel more secure in my new environment.

What I'm really trying to say here is that through my younger years WoW was my anchor. Even now I play WoW and always remember when I ran all the way from Teldrassil to Theramore to try to reach my friend in the Eastern Kingdoms. WoW is full of memories for me, as it is for almost everyone who has played it, I want to get into the Legion beta because I want to experience the sense of wonder and exploration that I miss so much from my first days of WoW.

Thank you

As a main DK tank (since  early Cataclysm) I'm actually worried about what's happening in Legion.

Tanks are being drastically changed to make them way more reliant to healers, but so far all the feedback I've received are extremely bad regarding the DK usefulness/survivability.

Furthermore, I want to see what Blizzard has in store about the PvP, testing out the new honor system and thus the talents, plus the two awesome arena maps I've seen.

Additionally, as a toy/transmog collector, I can't wait to discover all the new toys and test the hugely improved transmog system 2.0.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
